You did see some gnome magic. Spoilers ahead: Gnomes cloaking the white creature thingies as spies, cloaking themselves, Hazelmere using magic to break a language barrier and talk through your mind, and the summoning of a half dozen battle tortoises just to name a few. :P

With runescape, you can never speculate what's coming out next. Even when they tell you what's up to come (cons) it didn't come out when it was supposed to and surprised everyone when it did. And most of the updates are just out of the blue quests that nobody could guess.

I really do think they open more 'doors' than close. Most quests they don't leave you with much closure. They do this annoying (to us) thing for a few reasons. One is to give them plenty of creative space to continue lines of quests. The other is to keep us players paying for membership. They assume there's at least one quest story line we love, so as long as they keep us waiting for a sequel, they keep paying customers. Annoying, yes, but it's good business for them.

I can tell you already you won't get any closure to this thread - that being one answer being right, since it's only based on an opinion. While rc pkers are annoying as it gets and feel like scum, they're still playing the game how they want to. The teleporter is located in the wild so as a rc'er you have to be ready for pkers.

Ha, better off not even going to school in that situation, IMO. If you forget all of your homework from last night at home, that's not exactly an excuse to them. That never happened to me but I'd rather just play sick than get six zeroes in a day and a detention, since forgetting your stuff is no excuse. Not that I ... you know, support faking it or anything. :P

Just take things as they come and don't worry about it. You do get used to it and the pain goes away. It's bearable - I didn't need any medication really. Chewing will be pretty hard so I'd go with liquid and soft food. At first it'll seem terrible and you'll want them off desperately but you really do get used to them and eventually not even really feel like they're foreign in your mouth.

I never miss an episode of Family Guy or House. I try to watch the daily show and Colbert report as much as I can.

You used to be able to telegrab armor from a nearby area you dropped by the island, and no monks came. That might've been in beta though. I do think this monk thing is somewhat new though.

A lot of us do stupid, illogical things when we're tired. For me, sometimes when I'm brushing my teeth at night I'll switch around things I'm supposed to be using. Or those fridge moments where you open the fridge to get something and forget why you have the fridge open in the first place. Just tell us about dumb things you've done when you weren't exactly thinking. :)

I have no idea if anything like this has been done before, lock this if it has, but I just wanted to make a thread where everyone would post a few of the best scenic nature pictures they've ever taken. It could be a huge landscape or something really small, just pick out your best pictures you've taken and lets try to make this a nice gallery of a thread. :)

My favorite animal's always been the kangaroo. Just a great animal. I've just started liking meerkats a lot though. There's nothing not to like about them. :)

Well this isn't news to me, but since you're making it official now I'll give my official "you're a great guy reply" :P Basically since the days of scapeboard I thought you were one of those people who just encompassed and represented what tip it is about. I'd think tip it and you'd definitely be a name that came to mind. I think around when you got modded at TIF or scapeboard (can't remember) we got to know each other, and eventually became good friends through the TET. I love how we really just get each other and are on the same wavelength when other people were acting way out in left field. Not that our friendship's based only off letting off steam :P - it's always great talking with you, no matter the situation. Best of luck with whatever comes your way and with your daughter, we'll still talk from time to time I'm sure.

If nobody could afford a rare the rare wouldn't be at that price. They follow demand and if peopel weren't paying and sellers wanted them sold, they'd lower their prices. Party hats have almost exactly followed the gp inflation rates and there's no reason they'd separate from each other. Even if you were only trading with fellow party hat owners they're still customers, and you'd still sell your hat. Your claim that party hats are useless is ridiculous because they are not. I mean that's like saying investing in a stock that's guaranteed to go up 10x per year wouldn't be recommended. Your whole reason to why rares are supposively useless is based on a nonexistant future, voiding your whole argument. Come back with another reason to why rares are useless *now.*

That's debatable. If a mom just gave birth to a child and was so upset about how her life would be changed to commit suicide, she'd be hurting the baby. Not emotionally, but the baby wouldn't have as good a life. In other situations suicide hurts plenty of people emotionally though. I mean if I were to commit suicide I'd practically ruin the lives of my parents and my close friends and family would be completely devasted, so I think as irresponsible commiting suicide is to your own life, it messes with tons of other lives too.

Me too. I think this month looks kinda mediocre. I like that they're redoing old stuff, but there's no big special update in August.

Well the old testament is basically the Torah I think. The new testament is a bunch of added stuff, everything with the christian religion. As a jew I completely ignore the new testament as I don't believe in it, and in that case everything makes sense. As for christians, I can see how things could be confusing.

That commercial annoys me so much too. I mean it really works, but it's so annoying.

I think the whole setup of classifying someone as one of the two has ruined a lot about our country. Things shouldn't be simplified into the two classes. Nobody has a pure opinion applied to one of the two and allow people to vote ignorantly because they just vote one of the two based off the media or their work or religious affiliation tells them to. There are so many different issues and you can't place one choice to one side and the opposite choice to the other side, and then both sides push that opinion to the extreme to get the voters of each opinion. A big mess. Even George Washington said something about a two party type system being a really bad thing I think.

Ha, that is pretty funny Shadow. What bugs me about how people respond to these polls is that they don't pick them based on their real thoughts often. In my case I would have a conflict in many answers because I'm jewish, and there's a set guideline for all religions in how to answer. The thing is I've developed my own opinions separate from religion. I chose to take the poll based on those. A lot of people don't - and get really high turnouts in certain areas because of that.

Guesses that have already been said plenty of times in this thread. While technically yes, that will lower supply, the reduction of the amount of in-game rares really doesn't effect their prices as much as people think. It's mostly rares that are out of circulation that does supply wise, but moreso than that is due to inflation most significantly.

That was very nicely written VOV. :) On the whole "is life out there" issue, I'd stake my life on it that there is. I wouldn't on intelligent life because that requires so much more evolution and luck, but there's definitely life out there. I think one of the reasons that video was so good is because of the wide variety of responses people have to it - even in this topic we've covered the size of things in terms of how big and small everything is, exisistentialism, all kinds of theories from that video. Anything that can make people think that much is great.
