  1. I've seen a physicist's theory of what a 4-D object looks like, and it looks kind of like a cube whose bottom side shrinks, moves up the inside of the cube, then becomes the top, while the top expands, moves down, and becomes the bottom. It's very hard to explain, it might not be plausible, but it looked cool. If only I could find the link to it... Did it look remotely like this?

Every object has a chemical compisition giving it a color. Everyone has a different perception varying from the smallest degrees to flat out colorblindness of the color of an object. I somewhat agree with Bubsa's logic. I mean it's fun to talk and wonder about these kinds of things - just don't fret over em, since nobody knows the answer, and most likely nobody will ever know. His point is that since we know we won't find an answer, it's pointless to waste so much time in your short life worrying about it.
  3. For melee training, ideally it would be: Berserker helmet Fury ammy Dragon chain Dragon legs Climbing boots Rune defender Barrow Gloves Warrior ring/ROL Fire cape/obby cape Whip
  4. As a baby I climbed up my crib and dove headfirst out, breaking my collar bone. I guess depending on how you look at it it could be funny.
  5. I was thinking about this, along with the elves in Lletya. Are you sure their high defenses won't negate any bonus you're getting though?
  6. I like knowing ahead of time, especially when they release items for you to gather ahead of time like they did with farming. The fun of the skill wasn't really spoiled before the launch and a lot of the tedious pre-levelling work was gotten rid of. I just wish stuff like farming boots and spending hours at farmers killing for 2gp tools that were sold in shops we would have known would have been so easy to get, but other than that I do like knowing details ahead of time.
  7. Well there is a gate, so if you want to adhere to the storyline you can assume that those salesman don't go any further than the Tyras guards at the gate would allow. That'd just leave you wondering what the heck they'd be there for though.
  8. Well it would make the most sense to transfer your xp in the easiest\cheapest skill to level, cooking for me, and transfer it to the hardest and most expensive, probably prayer.
  9. Maybe you killed people/thieved in Miscellania by accident.
  10. So basically for some reason they've removed the element of you buying what others sell. Hopefully it's a bug.
  11. You're right in some regards. But we know that the pixels aren't real. But a lot of things in our life aren't real and they're valued even higher. Real life moeny can be compared to runescape pixels. They're both valued over an electronic medium, and don't have much of a backup. Some paypal money you have isn't worth anything itself - it's the time behind it that has value, just like runescape items. They're both intangible but both have value. The way I see it, playing runescape is like watching a movie in a theatre. You don't own the movie you're watching, but in your current reality things are enjoyable. Sure you're not making an efficient use of your time in both cases, but you're enjoying yourself and in some way stimulating your mind (well, only to a degree in some cases). While yes, runescape is a waste of time if you analyze it like that, but that doesn't stop it from being fun. Even if your character isn't owned by you and if it can be taken away at any moment, you're still enjoying the moments you have with it. That's like saying that since you'll die some day (analagous to your life being taken away from you) there's no use living it. While that's somewhat of an exxageration, hopefully my other points make sense to you.
  12. Oh, not at all, I mentioned that I was just pointing out you were wrong on that, not in reference to what you were talking about though. I'm a jew - with my people's history there's no way I'd support someone saying that. Speaking of the Jon Stewart thing, kind of off topic, but I can't wait for this movie based off him and his popularity: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pg7i8ILVrEQ I'd lovvee it if that happened. :3>
  13. You Red Socks fans are crazy. I was in Florida a few weeks ago and there were as many Red Socks fans there as Rays fans. Cheeringwise during the game you couldn't even tell whose stadium it was (if it weren't for those annoying cowbells Rays fans would constantly hit). "MORE COWBELL!" ugh.
  14. Verlander, definitely. I'm a Tigers fan (actually going to today's game in a few hours), so there's my bias. :P
  15. There are soo many in the game, but off the top of my head I can only think of that Rock lobster reference. But really, there's tons.
  16. There are tons and tons of these types of references - this only scratches the surface of the inside joke type things jagex litters here and there throughout runescape.
  17. If Israel has a child casualty it's because it was an accident - most likely Hezbollah hiding behind civilians. Hezbollah, on the other hand, specifically attacks civilians. Don't talk as if Israel's goal is to attack children. It's to annihalate a persistantly annoying problem that just won't ever go away. Actually humans are a species. Races are kind of like breeds, if you look at dogs - a species (the ability to breed). But that's not really here nor there. I was going to post more but I have to go, so I'm leaving on that off-topic note.
  18. I'd take up dueling. Or if you really just love the challenge, try handicapping yourself while on fightcaves? I think that's stupid to do, but if that alone is what you want, limit what you bring and try to set some record for beating the fight caves without 'x' of some item. You do still have some more quests to do, but other than that, just wait for the next big update to have some challenging thing. That's what I do.
  19. I'm sure there's some motive behind it. I was in a bank for awhile, then took out my blue phat and wore it, and after the initial swarm of people asking questions subsided, I had two people wanting to be my friends. Each situation has different motives, but I'm sure in a lot of cases there is a motive. In that case they just assumed from having the hats I have that I'm an experienced player, so they probably would want to ask me a lot of questions. In the case of a player mod they might want him/her as a friend because they seem to stand out with the crown as being 'above' regular players to them, and want to talk more with them. Just my guesses.
  20. Ha, gave me a guilty chuckle. I don't get why people would search for wikipedia though. By that logic google would be high up there in the most searched terms - since they're both basically search engines for information - one searching through a database and the other the internet. It's easier just typing wikipedia.com into your browser than going to a search engine, typing wikipedia, then hitting enter, waiting for results to load, and clicking the link which is basically a .com+enter added. I never got why people do that (but then again only someone like me would wonder such a thing).

I just saw it - I liked it. It was pretty weird for me combining the whole scary jump in your seat aspect (which was less common than I thought it would be) with comedy. There were a lot of funny moments, although I can't really see this becoming a cult classic.
  22. There was an image of the blood talisman in the knowledge base that people found. I think it was removed after people found it, but it suggested that since there was an image for the blood talisman we'd eventually be able to craft blood runes.
  23. You put that if you're aware you probably spelled the word wrong.
  24. If you believe in 10 dimensions we're not alone. If we assume every possible possibility up to infinite, just imagine a random world, all the details of it, all the foreign types of aliens you want, and it exists somewhere, assuming infinite possibilities of every type of variable exist. (Oh, and Kryptic, look up Tesseracts for an idea of what a 4d object would look like. Or read a wrinkle in time)
  25. Ha, I did read that, and totally forgot when I was typing that. >.< I just went off that cool visual from the quest in my head. :P It seems a large portion of gnomic magic, or at least magic used by Gloughrie(sp?) is based off illusions. I can't really see that being transferred to be used by players really. Maybe invisibility in the wild or something, but nothing that practical.
