It depends on the situation. In a court case where all the details of what really happened aren't available and lives lie in the balance, the process has to be different. You can't assume someone's wrong and force him to prove himself right if he doesn't have any evidence. But overall when we're dealing with science, the best way to go is to be wrong until proven right. I do think it's too much of a black/white issue in the way you're presenting it though, and you can't apply one rule to every situation either.

Any midlevel player with protect from melee can do it pretty easily now. Back in rsc the minimum was about 65, so assume now you can do it at about 50 minimum if you don't have much skill. As long as you have protect prayer you should be able to kill them pretty easily though.

If you've been playing for years and have suddenly stopped, posting to let your friends know that you had already quit is fine. But I completely agree that it's ridiculous for people to see themselves as either 'on runescape' or 'off runescape.' Those are addicts. As I say numerous times, the only rule I go by in regards to playing runescape is: "if you feel like playing, log on." This overcomplication is unneccessary. That's the only way people need to look at it.
-
I've seen it. Parts went over my head the first time, but I loved it for that. The more plot twists and double agent rats the better I say. I haven't seen too many movies comparible to it but I thought it was great nonetheless.

Well of course. If you go to a circus and ask people what they think of clowns, what do you think the general consensus is going to be? I guess I just prefer "naturally" improving my thinking abilities. You know, like sleeping well and learning. My point is they work, based on how much they like them. Of course every forum works like that. You're not going to see many runescape haters on this forum (save for off-topic maybe). I'm not saying anything about sleeping well or learning either. Of course that's standard. I'm asking about enhancing beyond those initial things you do.

Um... And? The person is asking what people would recommend for her to do long-term wise. He's saying he's tried pills but knows that they're not a long term solution because you can get addicted to them and they're better to use only on rare occasions. I don't know about those, I'm assuming they're anti-anxiety. Read more about enhancements, not so much treatments. he never really mentioned that, and it isn't really implied... kinda worries me, though, that the pills act as an antidepressant i've had no experience with them, though, so I won't jump to conclusions Well you can get addicted to any type of anti-anxiety pill if you start depending on it. That's why they're better for rare occasions where someone knows they're going to be facing a lot of stress beforehand. I'm assuming that's why he's looking for more of a long-term solution(but still asking for some type of pill suggestion, I know), probably some type of diet change, exercise regiment, meditation, etc.

Then read the forum I linked to. That place isn't exactly an advertisement. You see people talking about them, people who use them, and how much they say it affects them.

True, but why is it that logic only applies to that specific forum? I still think the reasons I gave are applicable. I was just saying take the bug section out of the suggestions board. Most bugs are dealt with, and when they do exist, they're pretty new and come with a new update posted about mostly in general p2p. There aren't many existing bugs to talk about solutions that haven't been removed. The art and creative board are where people put their work on display most of the time for criticism and to show off what they do. The movies and music board is more of an off-topic board with the same posters from off-topic but on music and movies. Just from posting on those boards you get a feel for who posts on them - in that way it just seems weird to me that board wedged inbetween the two forums where people show off their work. The other I didnt quote you on I agree with now. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my suggestions.

Ah! Finally. One of my favorite movies. ^.^ Did you get the criterion release? Unforgiven <3<3<3 Very, very good. I don't think there's a single thing that I don't like about this movie. Perhaps the dialogue between Clint and the cut up lady of pleasure could've kept out. As it didn't add much to the movie and it was a bit cheesy. Adam, did you see the origninal HK-Thrillers on which the Departed is based? The Infernal Affairs trilogy. :) I've heard about them, haven't seen them though.

It seems like they are known for their first party games more than others. But in my completley un-proffesional opinion, I think they need to depend on first parties a lot less than the other two consoles. Both the PS3 and 360 cost more to manufacture than what they charge for them. They make up the money with their games. The Wii makes money from selling their system, so they really don't need the games to make money. There's probably a flaw in that logic, but that's what I think. It's pretty smart of them not to depend so much on 1st party games. Normally what happens is they release a lot of 1st party games percentage wise, and those games outsell the 3rd party games completely. In turn the 3rd party companies can't compete with Nintendo's games and stop supporting them, which keeps cyclically happening. By not having so many 1st party games they're giving 3rd party games a better chance - and without their support they're doomed to have the N64 and gamecube's fate. We'll get our nintendo 1st party killer apps, just more spread out than normal.

I'd say the most active highest ranking player who posts here is S1lacker. There are higher up members but anyone can make an account here. Posting is what really makes you a member.

Does anyone on this forum take any form of nootropics? Recently I found a forum about longevity and basic health improvements, and an interesting sub section was about nootropics. (yes, they are legal, by the way): http://www.imminst.org/forum/index.php?s=&act=SF&f=169 It's a wide category of general brain enhancements. Standard wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nootropics (what would a thread be without a wikipedia link?) The most common ones have been in use for a pretty long while, and all research points that the safe ones don't have any irregular side effects. Of nootropics falls under a broad category, but I'm mostly referring to the type people take in upper levels in college. A lot of people I know take adderrol, but it's illegal, addicting and taking it every day might not be that great for you. Nootropics are taken only in rare occasions where one might need any type of mental boost. Basically they make your brain run more efficiently. Besides basic brain health improvements, they are used for these kinds of reasons: I haven't personally bought any yet, because my parents freak out over any type of pill, but from what posters on that forum say who take them often, they completely love them. It makes you more alert, a lot quicker mentally with conversations or tests or whatever, improves memory, and more of the things in the list above. So what I'm wondering is if anyone else has tried taking these, what they've found from them, if they'd recommend them, or for people who haven't, what if anything you've heard about them.

I just saw the departed yesterday. A great movie. I love plot twists and turns, along with gang movies, so it was a natural match. I recommend it to anyone who likes those kinds of movies even remotely.

General Help and Advice: On the top, or at least one below the archive of wisdom. If it's on the top, it'd be more like a net for the masses of people posting here solely for questions. It's great that only mods can post in the archive of wisdom, so in that case maybe just move it one below that. General F2p: Above General P2p like it used to be. Not only because we're used to it that way, but logically it would work better as a net that way. People tend to click on the first runescape discussion forum, and whichever that is receives the most spammy threads, and I don't want to see that happen to gen p2p, which mostly has intelligent discussion (at least in comparison to general f2p). RuneScape Bugs & Suggestions: I don't know why the 'discussion' part was removed, maybe because genp2p and f2p have discussions, but havign bugs moved to that board just seems out of place to me. When a new update comes out, all related posts are in general p2p, and bugs happen to be a lot of them. People wouldn't be going to the suggestions board for that really, and people wouldn't really post bugs on that board either. It just doesn't seem to fit. Music and Movies board: Just below or above off-topic. It just doesn't seem to fit wedged between a literature and art board. These are just my suggestions, don't take them as critisicm in any way, only as suggestions. :)

Of course the vote has come down to Devos and Grandholm. Is this like news to you? Polls are like 49%G/41%D/10%undecided. It seems quite like that, DeVos vs Granholm, Debby vs Mike Because it is like that. Are you too young to remember any earlier elections? The people running against each other generally run commercials against each other, things tend to work like that. I don't mean to sound condescending, but seriously do some reading.
-
So you start off saying you hate the commercials, and add further that you don't want to be lumped with people who are completely influenced by them, but end up saying that "the power of commercial" is what would have been your deciding vote if you could vote? That's pretty hypocritical, and I hope you can make decisions for yourself by doing some research instead of commercials, aka manufactured lies that appeal to emotion, shape your opinions. The problem I see with Michigan is a bad education system. That really applies to the whole country, but with Granholm as governer, she really supports education. Devos is pro business and everything, but he's not going in the direction I'd personally want. He seems too corporation fixated, big business, big money, all that. With the 21million he's spent on ads, 16million out of his own pockets, I'm just disguisted by all that I see on tv. On both sides actually. It's just that devos doesn't say his "big plan." All I hear is that he has one, and that Granholm doesn't. He never says what he'll bring - he only criticizes Granholm. That's not really what I want. The guy's for intelligent design, and anti-stem cell/abortion for all cases. It's just me personally but I prefer large funding going to schools rather than tax cuts for corporations.

Some Long-ago planned updates that have not come... Yet.
Adam007 replied to iwatake's topic in General Discussion
Oh, it's ok. We'll just keep pumping out 5 dollars a month til those updates finally come out. See where I'm getting at? Jagex can promise anything to eventually come out - even if they haven't started it - to keep members interested, hooked, and continuing their payments. Smart business. -
Because baseball players do SOOOO much work Tigers in 4 For pitching it does make a difference. You can imagine how much stress just one game can put on someone's arm. Plus the issue of our few injured players helps too. I think the Tigers are at a better advantage not so much because they're rested, but because the cardinals must be pretty fatigued.

Wilderness Story - You Must Read

If you had killed him, would you have given him any money back? -
I haven't seen the episode, but it sounds great that South Park's making satire out of one of America's biggest problems. People don't take responsibility over anything, and if they have any excuse, they'll use it. That goes with courts primarily (people suing over spilling mcdonalds coffee on themselves, all of those kinds of trials). Just in general people tend to never take responsibility. Just like the episode made parody of, people will blame a problem on something, and often the case is they're not viewed responsible for it, when really they should be. In no case should someone be given a get out of jail free card like you mentioned. People with such psychological problems should be put into institutes to have their problems fixed before such events happen in the first place. If they don't get better, they stay, because they're a threat to society. If they do get better and get out of the institute, they're accountable. Easy as that.

I don't know why specifically jagexium would be funny. You could apply your joke to much funnier things (in comparison to the original joke, of course). If anyone were able to bid for an element name, I can assure you jagex wouldn't be up there at all in terms of biddings. More like microsoftine or Exxonium. (It's sad when sarcasm goes unnoticed apinagez :( )

So true. Terrorisms main objective is to create fear and let it affect our way of life. With the way the Government and Media has reacted they have achieved that goal. They wanted to destroy our way of life and our society and it looks as if they are achieving it. And in that way, the terrorists are the best thing that ever happened politically for Bush. He's been able to manipulate the whole country and even the world and shape things all because humans are so insecure when it comes to the issue of fear. He takes terrorism, tries as much to scare Americans as possible - who in general are willing to give up liberty permanently for temporary security - and uses the tool of fear to keep gaining control over whatever he possibly can. Fear is a politician's best friend. And terrorism is his vehicle he uses to put the world into fear, allowing him to do these ridiculous things. Because people are so indifferent to everything besides not being the target of the next 9/11, they don't care what it takes to prevent them from being attacked by the big scary terrorists that are looming and are going to pop out of nowhere and attack us everywhere. It's irrationality that's allowed Bush to get as far as he has. Americans have a weakness. It's that we believe this president. As Olbermann said, I'd love to see if you still believe him if for some reason feds lock you up, claiming you never were a citizen - in which case you can't have a trial over whether or not you are. Oh well. It's ok. He has to do it to keep us safe.

Here's another great one by Olbermann. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqxmPjB0WSs

That reminds me of the easter ring bug that was at that same place.
