My melee stats being highest is just because I dislike range and mage is too expensive to train a lot. Why am I ranting that mage is expensive then? Uh. You know how much money an average GWDer risks? 1m is hardly much, and Dust runes=1 space.

So, a prayer potion costs 2050, and restores from 7 to 31 Prayer points.... versus this spell which costs 1500 per cast, and restores up to 15? I don't think that ruins the balance. Thing is the Law runes are stackable, unlike Prayer potions.

I assume by "hassle' you mean "a eating from the constant 50s doled out by dragonfire". Yes, I would consider that a hassle. Pray magic+Antifire=0 damage.

Risking much more for a more expensive method seems a bit illogical, but you still need melee to take down it's Fireshield. Oh, and you used to be able to cast spells with Darklight, and his shield will drop. :(

You can only take so many 'wahh the games ruined they took out teh wildyz!' threads before you have to tell them where to get off -.- Me too for once, finally I can do wilderness clues without some [developmentally delayed]ed clan in multicombat killing me, or fighting with bots for resources.

Zamorakian Spear/Leaf bladed Sword works very well on weaker dragons as well, but if you have a Whip there really is no point in them. Except the Zamorakian Spear, it's better since it's stab is higher than Whip's slash, but using it is a lot ot hassle.

I did like old wildy better, but I really don't care about that, it's cause. Yeah, that's amazing, wear full melee armour when fighting magic. If there were PKers, that's a different case. Oh and you're right. I didn't think this was anything to get angry about, just releasing some residual annoyance.. so people could not care about it in public. Oh. Nice putting words in my mouth. Even IF you wear melee armour, pray mage? :roll: Don't expect to live against any monster without armour.
