Is your city one of the world's best?
Being scientific isn't always limited to the run of the mill biology, physics, and chemistry you know. Science is a system consisted of observations and deductions to arrive to a conclusion. Like what they did with those little numbers and statistics. Like I said earlier those 'subtle variables' are preferences. The same way I believe that my hometown is one of the greatest places on earth. But once you remove that bias and look at something as a whole, you get to a much accurate conclusion. *psst* You know.. you really shouldn't be the one to correct Lionheart's spelling in every post.

Good Reasons to Dislike Someone
When they act like a moron, not just once, but constantly. If someone's on my 'dislike list', it's harder to get out than get in. Not to mention spammers that act like they're the .... .

A question for everybody
I'm tolerant of both. I believe in God, but I study science as well. And sometimes, I do think people post just for the sake of an argument. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Fundraiser. Ideas please?
In our DECA chapter, we had a (successful) movie night and a coffee sale. Movie Night - Set up a projector to play a DVD. We had Scary Movie 4 (Halloween theme) - Don't sell tickets. - Make money from selling pizza and pop. Keep in mind that we sold even more pizzas in the school's lobby (front hall) to make more profit. Coffee Sale Fall/Winter weather - people want something to keep them warm. I think this was more profitable than movie night.

Is your city one of the world's best?
Yes.. that's why I wrote right in the first post 'In terms of quality of living.' Not preferences. Ok, I took that out. Reply as a human would do, now. Even because most cities in the world were kept out of the list. I'm sorry, nothing was taken out. *sigh* Ever thought that maybe the little 'numbers and statistics' for the other cities aren't high enough to make it on the list? You know, for someone who's such an advocate of science, you're singing a different tune.

anybody watch HEROES...?
You should put *spoilers* in your post just in case. I really wanted to watch the first episode of it, but since it's a really linear show, I missed the first episode and got turned off watching the rest.

Is your city one of the world's best?
Dam you, where's ENKHUIZEN? What defines it as the ''best'' city anyway? A lazy editor who doesn't do research. Clearly, they are just thinking of cities off of the top of thier heads. All 50 of the best cities to live in would have populations less than 100,000. Are you being sarcastic?

I just want everybody to know...
Aww, you're 5 months older than me :P Happy Birthday!

Is your city one of the world's best?
Out of how many countries in Europe? Of the list, I want to visit Madrid and Switzerland. Toronto isn't in a bad spot though.

In terms of quality of living. Source I actually expect Calgary to be higher up in the list. That will probably change in the future.

what is reality?
Our society isn't the only reality. What I posted was just our society, and this is me, in reality, trying to cover the mistake I made from the other post that was a mistake. My definition of reality goes beyond our own society. You should go into marketing/advertising. If you aren't being sarcastic, send me a PM and elaborate. If I have such talent, I've never discovered it. I don't know what Landon's getting at, but advertisers [cabbage] a lot.

CSI:Miami Question
Yeah. I think the CSI is better than CSI:Miami, but my friend likes CSI:Miami more so I watch it more often to expand the things we can talk about. Besides, if I make a crack about the show, it's easier for her to recognize it. When I've seen most of CSI:Miami, I'll start to watch CSI more often. And thanks tds (Brain is it?)

CSI:Miami Question
That's it? How about that one time where Wolfe needed help with some tire tracks and wouldn't ask Delko for help because of something he did?
-
CSI:Miami Question
A friend got me into the series recently and been watching it everytime I could. I haven't fully understood the side story, so was there something that happened between Wolfe and Delko?

Advice..
I understand where you're coming from. A year ago, my dad found a job about 2-3 hours away from here. Since then, my parents always talked about moving there. Well, my mom only partially. But I always said no. My girlfriend, my friends, and everything I liked is in here. Besides, the town my dad wanted to move to was so different. It isn't as busy or full of life compared to what I'm used to. So I stood my ground. A few months ago, he found a better job that is only 45 (at the least, depends on traffic) minutes away and pays even better. So no, he doesn't have all the cards. Maybe he found a different reason to move there.

America's Public School System
Schools are political now? Always thought that they were educational... One thing I've read about is that in most cases, principals don't have the power to fire a teacher because s/he is on a contract. Give the principals the ability to fire incompetent teachers and that will help. What happened with the No Child Left Behind thing btw?

Death penalty for Saddam Hussein
I don't know if you're a moron or just a die hard [wagon], but HELLO not everyone in this forum is an American.

Death penalty for Saddam Hussein
It's the US' fault for what the Iraqi judge sentenced Saddam?

Stealing...
If only you did it just once and what you stole was cheaper than $25, you would've gotten off scot-free.
