falconry botters
If people liked slow and fun ways of training, they wouldn't complain nearly as much about dungeoneering :P Also there are bots in the living rock caverns too.

At the same time I don't think we should say that something can't happen in a fantasy world just because we have it in real life. That would be kind of limiting.

3M and just coming back
For reference, in the span of one week you will require 1275000 coins in initial deposit to get the maximum yield for those seven days. Buuuuuut. You're F2P, so that doesn't matter. Seeing as you cannot buy any P2P items to invest in, the only thing that comes readily to mind is a large amount of raw fish that is considered popular for cooking training, since that hasn't really changed a lot. I've never had much difficulty liquidating raw tuna and swordfish.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
GOP is mainly for rewards (talisman staff for F2P in particular), although you do get a bunch of free essence after every round that you can chuck at the altar while waiting for the next round. The only other new thing I can think of off the top of my head would be increased iron smelting success. :P .... Oh, right, the Blood Pact quest. It's near Lumbridge and I think they used it as practice for testing the modeling on Dungeoneering rooms. It's a really low level quest, but you can go deeper after the quest and steal a bunch of artifacts (which can be sold to the quest giver) while assembling the necromancer's mask for a new costume item. (The parts are dropped by various monsters in the area.) Other than that I'd continue to mess around in the dungeoneering area because it's really, really big.

I don't see why they couldn't ban them though, because they still get to keep the money anyway.

I mean they're already spending all their precious time and money on making solo dungeoneering saves work and lord knows why they built that issue into their code.

Okay, seriously? Don't say you're botting even if you're joking. It just makes everybody's job harder.

Thanks for admitting that talking penguins are real, despite not being present during the Middle Ages as far as you know. I've been trying to convince people for ages about that.

Wikipedia also never mentions anything about talking large snakes and talking magical constructs created to guard large rocks of unlimited potential, so I don't really trust their sources.

What do penguins have to do with historic preservation?

Actually, it's because the board has a policy against personal attacks towards anybody..... BTW if you don't like penguins then that's kind of like saying you don't like free weekly exp.

I don't know but if you ever visited the Red Chinchompa area you will find a lot of bots aswell, I think bots are more common than we assume they are since the 2007 changes. Oh, those are bots? I was wondering why there were players in every world standing in the exact same locations.... Not like, general area, the actual same floor tile.

Why I Play Runescape
Eh, I think we don't have enough people writing those articles, but then if I say that too much I might have to write a new one! It matters not if the prose is longwinded if it at least delivers some kind of point and I think he's got enough there to warrant being eloquent about it. I've seen articles which have had no point to them at all and by the end I'm just hoping they find something to talk about next time. But even then I don't get all up in their grill about it and never mention the issue at all because I respect their will to try writing about something that has already been written to death and don't want them to give up just because I accidentally trampled over their feelings with a poorly thought out rant like this one I've just written. Honestly I feel that if we can accept poor use of grammar as long as the basic idea structure is there, we can easily endure the opposite side of the spectrum without making a federal issue out of it. Anyway. I'd have to agree that it is the potential and the bits of concepts here and there that are mostly keeping me here, since whatever the rest of the game used to be isn't there anymore.

Why I Play Runescape
While there are many noncombat activities in RS, I can't really think of any skill that's not connected to combat in some way aside from Thieving.

Dungeoneering Leeching verse Dieing
How does one quantify the ability to solve ice skating puzzles? I often end up in teams that are completely hopeless at them. :D

Tip.It Times - 30th May 2010
I'm being cold and spiteful here, but I'm hoping this destroys the rares market altogether. If you play often enough you should be able to notice whenever a dump is happening anyway..... It's hard not to notice a large crowd in the GE frantically trying to get rid of one type of thing.

They may have membership cards at your local Gamestop if you are not able to use the other methods.

The problem is that the solution is that you would have to ask yourself "what's the worst possible reaction to what we are about to do?" And then realize that you can't do anything about it, so you go ahead anyway as if nothing was said. Then we end up with all sorts of things happening that could have been helped, but end up in the same lot with the others because there's no way to distinguish between good and bad input. Even though I think it was pretty silly if they thought that it would have been received well or even apathetically, I realize now that they probably saw it coming and didn't really care enough to give up on income when they can just duck and cover until it's gone and the cash is in hand. And I'm okay with that, because many other people would have done the same thing faced with that situation. I just hope that they actually know this instead of really being the imbeciles that everybody makes them out to be, because then we'd be in a lot more trouble.

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
That's what the clay needles are for. Cuts costs in half. Then the bodies get alched and the cycle starts all over again. I lose a few tens of thousands but it's a drop in the bucket really when I'm getting a lot of levels for it. Anyway, I get the feeling that the "specialized" rings might contain some useful abilities related to the problems that you are discussing. I mean, it would pretty much make sense for the ranger and mage rings to increase 'ammunition' binding limits. As for the tanking part, perhaps some kind of special that gets the attention of all the monsters in the room would be effective? Let's hope they remember when they're developing them.

Elemental Workshop IV and the Soul Altar
Considering the kind of nonsense you have to go through to get to a bunch of the other altars (vampires! elves! dreams!.....heh), I think delegating the soul altar to a low level quest is a bit premature, especially considering that it's used for high level spells.

Crafting is hard? I just plunk my butt down at the GE with a bunch of clay needles and a bucket of d'hides.

Well, to be fair Disney isn't actually a competitor unless you consider their stuff to be on the same level as Jagex. .... #-o

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
By weight? Heh. That sounds pretty interesting actually. As if everything was set in place to make sense for it. I mean, ranged and mage equipment is relatively light, but melee is all made of metal, so you'd be able to get more out of your carrying capacity if you decided to be ranged or mage, which makes sense because you need more of that gear to make a difference compared to melee. And either way, artifacts would be light enough so that you could hang onto them regardless of your class if you're not hybriding and holding onto extra sets of gear.

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
Hm. I was thinking, they should make the exp with or without teams almost the same, but make the in-dungeon equipment rewards for teams much nicer.
