Guide to the Revenants! (Updates! February 2nd, 2008)
Legionwizard replied to alphakoldes's topic in General Guides
Nice guide, I'm f2p and this is what I've seen during my short scout in the Wildy: Seen lvl 126 knight at rune rocks (not moving, just waiting) Group of an Ork with a Vampire at greater's, i didn't even notice 'em coming in (was reading something =P). They came in through the west, killed some lvl 70 that was with me (he died and lost trimmed rune, but I didn't get chance to loot his grave). Ork left behind at greater's but the vampire followed me and some other 70'er (was friend of other 70'er that died). Vampire attacked those that were nearest. I had to forfeit against that dam thing cause of food loss at Ork. -
About time something like this would get organised. I like to boost with my lederhosen and my awesome matching hair and beard style. Thinking of which we should have a contest for best hair and beard style matching with lederhosen. Maybe by talking to npc, take screenie of ur face and then post into some survey that u could start on internet. Add me on list

I already found the idea ludicrous when I read the title. Smith is very useful, just need to mine ores urself, besides I'm hapt with the aore prices as they are now.

U can already use rune axe at wc lvl 40
Legionwizard replied to Legionwizard's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Well I "had" 40 wc, but it ain't that hard to quickly lvl wc up to 40, but i ain't doing it now... too busy on magic =P -
U can already use a rune axe to chop trees at lvl 40 wc, while the ingame guide screen clearly states that u need 41 wc lvl.

Multi-Site Steel War 3 (Dec 8, 2pm Est)
Legionwizard replied to dustin's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
Great I'm training my lvl 91'er to cause loads of mayhem... -
I don't see the need for higher lvl'ed monsters, I'm f2p, 82 combat, and I ought it good enough to train on hobgoblins and ice warriors.

Ah! The maps are alive! (Live Maps) ~ 182+ Supporters!
Legionwizard replied to None2None's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
You're clearly in for more artificial intelligence and variation updates, except for the moving rocks it all seems fine. Perhaps this periodically changing is better. Add me to support list. -
Ha! My iron scimmy's better than yours! ~ 41+ Supporters.

Know the yew tree just outside Falador? It's always stuffed with autoers (or chinese sweatshop workers nowaydays I heard). Anyway, I always stop when I pass by to report one of them (sort of a habit). One time, just as I walked in, three of them get a random event, hehe. I believe it was a tree spirit, Rick Turpentine and that pirate. None of them responded (of course), so they all were getting wacked, It was just so funny to see a tree spirit, Rick and Cap 'n Hand beating the living hell out of them. Was like a massive assault of RS on autoers, hehehehe.

Random Event Item Return [75 Supporters]
Legionwizard replied to rsoxfan3's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Support 100%... however, I consider the random sets too be a great achievement to someone that has been in rs for a long while. Therefore if you die while wearing the clothes, it should be unreversable, you can only store your sets at Diango if you literally hand it over to him. -
1. Lobs and swordfishes... boring after a while and shipping over from port sarim to karamja gets annoying as well. 2. Steel bars... only if you are devoted to get smithing up, I'd say get yourself a "trade person" (trade your bars for new ores and some money). You find several people in the market forum. Smithing is actually quite good since you can surf on other webpages while you just need to do some clicking once in a while. 3. Limpwurt roots... they sell high (750 - 1k ea) if you got high amounts. I'd advise Hobgoblin Island, good for lvl'ing prayer and combat skills. They also drop nats, laws and gems. 4. Woodcutting yews, but with all the bots and chinese sweatshops this has gotten rather crappy. 5. Mining... gets boring after a while. 6. ??? Need to go eat bye...

Hmmm... dam. Looks like the "punk" is back in business. Is it bad (asking as I was once a member of your clan)? Diplomacy won't do, as I imagine there have been enough attempts by now to have truces. We're sort of dealing with a patient thumb-sucking maniac (if I reason correctly). Best is to remain more or less neutral and not the provoking party, make it hard for them at war. This will hopefully aim for a fading interest in war. If you can't solve, let time do it, and do as it says. EDIT: in fact not so smart of dealing with it here, since the "punk" might accidentally bump on this thread and start to take counter-measures.

Is it possible to make over 10M f2p?
Legionwizard replied to pansynator's topic in General Discussion
I doubled my 200K in 2 days to 1040K. So yes, merchanting, but here are other tips: - It is advised to have a working skill that's high-lvl'ed as a back-up, just in case the merchanting drops down a bit, or if you smell more profit by waiting and sell later - Make sure you got a good starting capital, e.g. 150K - Roam forums and their price checks to inspect current prices and have patience -Don't be greedy, the best merchant is often the one that sells and buys for democratic prices, here's a nice example: I buy coal for 190 each (Wow!) and iron for 110 each (Wow again!), I smelt the steel bars and sell them for 530-560 each (Hmmm... not 600 each? NO!). I get my steel bars sold very easily and get my ores bought also very rapidly. Now, while the schmudz down the lane is trying to get his steel bars sold for 600 each and buy his coal and iron ores for 150 and 80 each, I'm progressing steadily. I don't need to worry on buyers and sellers dropping back their offers, or of spending hours on the market to get my work done, no... I'm earning money in a rapid rate (smaller amounts of course) and most of all: experience which will grant me to make better things later on. - Try to keep in touch with promising sellers and buyers, they are a merchant's best friends. It's better than having to search other sellers and buyers again and again... - More... but my fingers are tired. Good luck (PS: I'm somewhat worth 2 mill, and know how to raise more than linear... just ignore the last thing \ ) -
Wow, I need to play this game more often.
Legionwizard replied to sanday79's topic in General Discussion
I sometimes go to the first lvl to the center (where the minotaurs are) and train my prayer, it's very useful if it's very crowded (many players don't bury their bones), it really made me boost from 44 to 46 prayer, best spot in my eyes to lvl up fast for prayer. -
Also other advise, get yourself some permanent or regular interested buyers, so you always have some contacts to sell your gear to, comes in handy. Runescape is all about compromises and small trade businesses (don't know why I'm saying this stuff, but heck). Or as they would say in my language: Grote ventjes, kleine percentjes

Hehe this sounds lame... my excuses. I thin, I might come with some monk outfit. Maybe I'll stay calm, but I ought the chance quite big I'll be an ******* and start hopping on the bride \ . The loot you'll get from me can act as your wedding present : . Bonne chance, looneys.

Ah yes, a higher lvl monster would be very wellcoming, but: - combat must go down to min 100 or so - less drop items, they would be very attractable to those annoying lvl 60's, no rune scimmy's, meds, ... With those few changes it should be okay, hopefully more players will get killed by them, so I can loot them afterwards, cause the ice warriors and giants are loosing their effect.

A lot of the counter-critics I heard here, have no point, network traffic jam won't be hard at all, I can know, since I've studied information-transmission and -processing. Dramatic economic changes, is by far the worst arguments I encountered here. The auction house: -will allow real time marketplace trading, as on forums, but much handier, since it'll be game-integrated -merchanting will get a nice new dimension, with skilled people browsing the sales and being able to really apply math (stimulates the mind) and examine market flows (for the hardliners) : -the extendability is huge: being able to set a deadline, set a min price, turn down offer, stacking up ten highest bids, accept an offer, even though your offline but made a bid -don't forget with only 2 auction houses, experienced Jagex mods might check out suspicious prices and detect possible scammers very easily This idea has my vote, might need a bit more extending and so forth

100 steel bars -> Al-Kharid (F2P): 8-11 minutes I'm more used to smelt 1k of them at a time :
