  1. So there is no real overview of the amount of climbing boots in the game? I'd expect Jagex to know, having an direct interface to the bank contents data to query the extreme cases and inspect.
  2. Veteran, unless the other people are really doing nothing (neglecting defence, not attacking portals, ...). In that case go Beginner since it's generally fastest. Forget intermediate.
  3. Has been confirmed in knowledge base that ROW has NO effect on barrows chests (just to point out for other interestees out there). As others say, ring of life, or personally I prefer a DK ring.
  4. Veteran boats seem to get fast wins, as I myself am back into that game. If you feel like not scrambling your brain too much, knight defence can always use some hands as it's a tad less chaotic. For slayer, range void has lost its appeal, but it definitely remains good armour (e.g. TD's, chinning etc... ). Also they're planning void knight quests, so you never know if they might add enhancements to the armour as rewards.
  5. Loved doing loads of quests, but done them all now, don't regret it though, have nice memories of the quests. Specially the time I hit all the requirements for WGS and went to the Legend's Guild to start it. There few quests I don't really like *cough*Elven series (or at least Undergound Pass up to MEP2 cause of the agility horror)*cough*. Having exams is fun, cause you miss some quests, and then when you're done, you can go back on a rampage.
  6. Kinda unhappy bout the new quest cape emote, it looks a tad boring now. I liked the way the character moved in the old emote, now it just lifts and rotates.
  7. This. Data transfer is quick enough nowadays. Even if data transfers are queried they shouldn't take that long (they'll prolly have servers solely dedicated to rs anyway).
  8. I believe Jagex should focus more on replayable content (not that I say there isn't, there's plenty of it, but a lot of people fail to see it). As someone has pointed out, demanding content is too demanding from our side. Sure you can bring up arguments that it used to be different or that you are paying and so you are entitled to good updates and frequent. The truth is, even Runescape ends somewhere. Jagex releasing frequent low-quality updates will do more bad than good. Investing in more replayable content will add up and be appreciated by players. PS: by replayable content I need to mention that a lot of rs content focuses on a passive player simply doing the quest/activity and that's it. Give a player more freedom content-wise. Content shouldn't be too linear either (even fighting high level bosses becomes a drag in the long run). Something I'd like to see appear some day is that Jagex takes the courage to mess around with its players and do things lke have an army of NPC invade an area at some random time and beat the bejeezes out of us (unless players organise and put up defenses and so on). Sorry for my somewhat vague story (exams and glass of wine).
  9. Cleaning herbs is actually still rather fast at your levels, and you gain some money, perhaps also none, but it's quick enough.
  10. 70 wc really isn't going to get you far in f2p. I've been f2p till 83'ish wc, best advice I can give is: there's a deserted willow spot just north west of the crafting guild (just outside really), train wc there till at least 75 (I did till 80), then you can stand a better chance at cutting yews. Bring a tinderbox, will add up some nice fm levels cutting the willows (you can burn all 27 in a straight line), banking them is pretty useless, given their price.
  11. I ranged slay, and I got blocked (or desire to block): suqahs - cannoning them is money drain, they're annoying and bad drops kalphites - same as above scarabites - you can slay the lower level ones in the "missing my mummy" quest spot, but I dislike the running and they're too low, drops prolly not worth it either Good thing bout ranged slaying is that some slay creatures become less of a hassle. Mutated bloodvelds are rather nice, but they take long (I don't cannon them), but you're guaranteed a nice range exp boost. Wyverns are pretty uncommon to get (or at least for me), and hey they might just drop a visage, bank the bones and you'll definitely profit. Black demons can be safespotted and they're okay when it comes to crimsons (and those are always wellcome to me). I've had metal drags blocked, but iron drags become rather easy to range with 90+ range (and full arma with full slay helm really helps, but don't buy arma if you're not gonna use it too often).
  12. I got mine solo after 8k'ish dwogres. They're pretty good for getting some cb exp, they drop ranarr seeds sufficiently to pay back the pray pot (I used pray setup), and also drop runes and other seeds, so you'll profit from them. I also used a row (it affects dragon pickaxe drop). Also if there's cheating filth trying to steal your kills, a titan comes in handy from time to time (set left click option to attack) or looking at your summ level any high fighting familiar, but most of the time you won't need it. Bring pot, a good balance is 6 pray pot with 2 sup str and 2 sup att. Bring enchanted excal in case of hits (they are accurate) and holy wrench.
  13. Well if they really are gem drags and they drop 5 gems a kill, than gems would crash even further than they're already doing. Seems to unlikely (would be nice wih a gem bag though). I also think anagram.
  14. Looking forward to these quests, always been a fan of the Void Knights, I still play Pest Control for fun. The kicks you get when in a good team are awesome, less so when you have the common "I don't know anything bout this game, but I'm going to give other instructions what to do, or just disrupt the gameplay" kinda people. I'm hoping full void equipment will allow you to travel with the Void Knights deeper towards the Pest origins and unlock new equipment, hopefully to bring back the Void superiority it had before the full slay helm update.
  15. Will also depend on how often their mums drag them away from their computers to go get some fresh air (unless they've stashed in supplies and have advanced locks installed on their doors reinforced with titanium).
  16. If not discovered already you solve it with an L-shape movement. Start on on one of the middle ones closest to the edge, jump one forth, then depending on how the thingy moves, either left or right, then just keep jumping toward the big crystal, repeat to go back. If you stumble, then try to reach back for the beginning edge.
  17. The pickaxe stuff could be very true. Other than that, dungeoneering really emphasizes the cb triangle and what you choose as armour/weap and att style (For example when you come to the abandonded floors, a crush weap aids significantly over a stab weap, even if it is a prommy dag). The mushroom and potato thing that someone noted here is very very valuable, as are the pots, but to a lesser extent. When summoning, world bearers are the best, healers don't heal but provide extra lp restore when eating food. When you're going for the boss, a fighter familiar is advised (the mage ones seem to be overall less money to be spent at smuggler). If you camp with inventory problem you might wanna drop the low level fish, keep like tier 6 and up. If you combine with the potato and mushroom stuff, food doesn't really become a problem (some monsters are harder than the bosses themselves tbh). A rc level of 65+ comes in very handy for blast spells.
  18. I've had some notes where the writer revealed itself as Bilrach =/
  19. I got about 5-6 ravens. First one took 2 mill wc exp or more. Also, you can't get raven eggs from mtk nests (unless it changed by now =/). You can get raven eggs from evil tree nests though.
  20. As a slayer and the occasional boss hunting, I'd say zs, because: 1. It's way cheaper than ss 2. ss is only very slightly better for wf's 3. zs has highest stab bonus in the game (yes, pvp has higher, but who uses that for slayer anyways), I should emphasize this, cause for a long time many have ought zs to be only good for some particular stuff (like aquanites), but many slayer assignments involve creatures weak to stab, it rips demons apart for instance 3. good if you like the occasional corp mass =) I've tested both, and I've sold my ss back again several times, it's a real good weap if you like pest control and str training, and I'm sure it's good for other stuff too. But as an att addict (I totally underrate str tbh) I feel zs has been a very good investment that you shouldn't regret.
  21. I got a d pick drop after finishing off 8k dwogres. This shouldn't set you off though, they're fairly good exp (sup att and str are advisable though), and they drop enough ranarr seeds to pay off the pray pot and beyond. Anyway the setup I used tried to find a balance between attack and prayer bonus: Helm: Neit/Prossy (gives more pray bonus, but the neit is just a common tool and it has +3 str bonus, not that I care for that though) Top: Prossy Legs: Prossy Amulet: fury/glory Weapon: whip (there could be better alternative, but I haven't really been testing a lot of weapons on dwogres tbh) Gloves: Best RFD gloves Cape: Soul Wars cape(+12)/Ardy cloack (+6) Boots: drag boots Ring: personally I'm a row person, otherwise go with warrior ring, more attack bonus than zerker Shield: I use zammy book for pray bonus and some attack bonus, although defender might be a better choice perhaps Bout the aggressiveness: if you solely stick to dwogres (and only one at a time) you shouldn't be attacked by any others. However if you do attack a cannoneer or so and they've focused onto you, they'll stick to you for quite a while (even if you leave the area and come back after some hours). In that case, go ride a bike or something  . Edit: also my invent: 8 pray pots, 2 sup att and 2 sup str, take an enchanted excalibur and holy wrench, so you'll spend 1 pray pot per sup pot sip on average. Might also want to take a fighting familiar for unfair players. Also don't steal kills, if you see a dwogre atacking someone else leave, and don't half hp them either.
  22. Oh, previous year we were still the slave doing all the work around. Maybe this year, EBJ has been investing and will appoint us middle manager of a 200 million company and give us free gp's.
  23. After waiting all these years I got the name: Legion
  24. No idea if this thread is still ongoing, but the release of the new castle seems to have links to the Dragonkin. Not only does it look like the castle from "Tale of Two Cats", but the CE newsletter also indicates that "Kith and Kin" will fight. The Kith could be the Fremennik.
