Woox will be forgotten over time, but I must say I am pretty impressed with the stuff he has done in terms of MH'ing. He isn't the best out there, and one can say his videos lead him to "fame" (meaning there are plenty of others out there just the same but without the nice vids). Now, I also agree that this doesn't deserve a topic of his own, but reading the topic does give me the chance to highlight two things: 1. Many of you relentlessly make the guy look like some drama queen with hormones acting up, he just said he was leaving without some grand spectacle of drama and ROFL/LOL words. If you'd compare his actions with many others, and especially of his age, I think he's more mature than the majority of people. So no need to start saying he's mad. For someone that notorious, he was awfully silent and good mannered during his time spent on RS (of course I only deduce this from vids, rumours, forums, ...). It's not only about him, but lots like to rip on whatever person is brought up here, mostly based on ridiculous statements. 2. Woox had some valid reasons to quit that we should care about. The getting maxed and finding the game boring is his personal one, and not for us to debate. But the popularity of RS HAS gone down. Compared to pre-"wildy return", my experience tells me there is a crapload of botter, scammer, hacker influx into the game. I've found friends around me getting hacked by some ingenious tricks (in case some of you are itching to respond with "own fault!"). And the attitude of Jagex not holding it's promise is dissappointing.

Jagex will have crossed the line the day they allow for gold/items/... to be bought for real money. And with allow, I mean that they offer those services themselves, not some shady third party.

Is why I mostly boss hunt early, to avoid the lag. Of course less convenient when your clan has an event in the evening (died last Sunday, lagged when Zilyana spawned, she was clearly heading for me, then some frustrating "beating my computer up", then grabbed gear at SW to get stuff back).

demons, not dragons

Thought most teams favour accuracy and demand void?

Before the latest quest (EW 4), my record was 199. The minigame really worked along that one time.

Well back on topic, I can say I'm not too worried about food. I rarely fish if ever cook, I might buy some salves right before the boss room. I know my prayers and how to lure, people should do it more. You have the highest chances of dying by foolishly entering a room without quick inspection or ggs'ing to "follow the leader" and ending in the middle of an onslaught. Concerning the fire runes, I get those pretty rapid in the dungeon. The blood necklace I might consider, think with blazer I'll already have high enough dps surging warriors, would be a nice addon if I'd decide to go for rapier/baxe. As for the hex, yes I would bind it and replace surgebox with arrows. I'd rely on other non-keyer teammates to possess a surgebox, as it isn't thaaat rare.
-
I'm drifting towards 100 dg, allowing me a third bind. Right now I have: ssh, prom2h and surgebox. As of now, I'm pretty set on my role as non-keyer (cept that I do key in 117). But in w148 I'm mainly into maximizing my dps. My plan for binding when I hit 100 dg is to have: - bind celestial staff; - keep prom2h and surgebox; - upgrade ring to t8+ blazer (actually doing so now) and set on quick-switch with berserker. So I will deviate from the conventional platebody binding and focus on mage and melee. Does this sound like a good plan? Should I replace prom2h by a primal baxe (for auto surgebox equip at start)? Keep in mind my goal is to maximize dps and that for gd's while people deal with the remaining zombies, archers, ... I plan to switch to mage (wield staff surgebox, switch blazer and select spell), so I look as the little extra time spent in equipping surgebox as neglegible.

Simple, make people not lose their gatestone when they dc, saves a lot of walking. Shouldn't be too hard to add.

I agree, Give people to freedom to choose whatever they want, but once that's their name, they have to remember it to log in (Instead of their original name/email) It might prevent people from choosing tricky names to scam as they might find it difficult logging back in (IIiiiiIIiIIiiI) missing out an "I" etc. Trust me, people are more then willing to spend some extra seconds to type in their name logging in, so for the next hours they can go ravage RS scamming, intruding official clan chats (world60pengs, etc) just to scam, flame or whatever they feel like (and no, we're not just going to let it fly over us, because we don't feel like). The point here is, make reporting players a tad easier by offering some clicking ability. That way people that like sideway stick figures or whatever can remain happy, while total jerks whose creativity doesn't go further than to annoy others (including a hard to type name, no bloody way I'm spending my time to people like that, ticking out every syllable after close investigation into Notepad) can be removed from the game easier.

Sounds dodgy and posted in wrong forum. If you have good intentions then best of luck.

I know enough high lvl'ed player that could go for tribrids, yet opt for soloing Rex instead, berserker rings are after all a lot more wanted then a seers ring/...
-
Well, they'll probably still be able to get into the lair, as the dk door partner world has been set to w66. Anyway, what they did for lvl 138's is really lame. Now I tend to crash solo magers while solo tribriding when I have to (busy hours of day), most often they deserve it, but I don't lure any kings on them just to get my way. They should however still be put on the cc's ban list, so they can't ask for blessing should they die (even though the chance of them receiving it is still high with randoms passing and the rather overlarge timer on graves these days).

Annoying indeed, first time I had the bug I thought I was being hacked.

Even worse are warped torts. They prolly mixed in some sound containing wavelengths known to screw up your psyche.

This one covers the freeze/sally method well: http://forum.tip.it/topic/250660-big-barrows-analysis/page__hl__barrows I've used it for quite a while and kinda tailored it to my stats. With max melee I'd ditch the super att/str and use the piety leftover from karil, but I know some disagree as ahrim isn't exactly quick to kill (relative to other brothers) without a spec weap. These days I fully barrage all brothers and spec on ahrim, but you don't have access to barraging yet. Anyways, barrows armour is your main friend, have karil top/bottom, ahrim top, guthans set. karil and ahrim would be replaceable with lesser gear if you're shy on money.
-
Definitely sell if you need to make free some money for other things. After you've done that, it is still a good tanking shield with a +7 str bonus, mure useful if you pursue bosses like DK's.

I also pick up those blue dhides people leave on the floor :#:

Thanks, this is what I've been looking for. About the frosties, guess I took a bad example, was actually meant for healing in ranging situations in general, but combining point 2 and activating ss at start of animation I know the answer to that one.

I have trouble finding more info on soul splitting, and my questions about ss flicking concern some specific cases: 1) At TD's, I use ss mainly while melee'ing (cause I get through the range phase rather rapidly with a steel titan). However I can only ss when my first melee hit doesn't hit high at once. So now the question here is: If I'm really fast can I ss on the first hit? I use a chaotic rapier. How would I do it right? Should I right click - attack and quickly activate ss or the other way around? The first case might make me ss flick too late, while the latter risks me getting hit by the tormented demon, hence ruining the purpose of ss flicking. 2) At DK's I'd like to flick ss on Supreme (or maybe even Rex), while Prime is alive and maging me. When should I activate ss? Is it right after Prime launches his attack or when his attack is about to hit me (assume I'm an end away from Prime)? 3) When ranging frost dragons (I mostly melee them though), when do I flick ss? It's supposed to be as soon as the firing animation of the c'bow sets in right? Thanks in advance.

Does the special effect (reduction of mage lvls) stack? The reason I'm asking this, is cause I'm looking for effective counter strategies to abyss pk'ers. When dead, you spawn at sw and gain a full spec bar, so you can simply run back up to the Wildy, take an arrow out of the bank and spec on the abyss pk'er, making him lose mage lvls.

Werewolf agility course.

Been dg'ing rather a lot lately. I've come to the point that when keying and I notice the rest are slackers (unresponsive to calls and not busy), I just leave the dg. Waste my time, and you can forget about exp. Only happened to 2 dg's so far luckily.

There's a superb counter strategy for abyss pk'ers. First and for all, bring a tele (I use explorer ring, as I feel an abyss pk'ers ain't worth spending 1k for) and use it when getting entangles (make sure you're quick cause next attack is tb). Then make sure pray is up, and 1-item the pk'er using a spec weapon (e.g. korasi is good). If you have done Nomad's requiem, you spawn at sw, so you just go straight back to the pk'er. They really hate it.
