After consideration I guess it doesn't matter an awful lot, given the absence of the cb triangle in dg (exaggerated remark). I'll stick to 2h/maul combo simply because I have the space, and add in the precision bracelet. Tenth bind will be saggi top then for extra ranged bonus. Ammo bind is saggi arrows (heard runes + staff boost damage or something vague during last livestream, so it might be worth getting surgebox again).
-
Thought about this, but my reasoning is as follows: - Baxe will be crush in EoC, and primal maul as well. But with a lot of the crush weak monsters in dg having high levels, I'd prefer to sacrifice the speed for more accuracy provided by the pmaul. - In a gd, the consensus is to take down shades mages first. I can use the shield to tank range and melee and perform slash attacks on mages. After that I switch to pmaul for crush weak monsters - Pmaul has heavy output damage against a good array of bosses.
-
Thought EoC abolished the multiple attack styles for weapons, meaning 2handers now become slash only.

This is what my plan looks like (think post EoC): Melee: Primal legs/top/kite/longsword/maul Mage: Celestial top/bottom/hood/cat. staff Range: Saggitarian longbow The choice to focus on mage and melee is personal, I simply add in the bow for special occasions (necrolord, ...). The only disappointing thing I suddenly realize is that I'm not 120 dg, therefore can't carry longsword and maul at the same time (quite keen on having one for crush, it is immensely powerful for said purpose). Because of this I'm inclined to wait for kite/longsword until 120dg, and carry 2h and maul till then. Opinions?

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Legionwizard replied to Leon S's topic in General Discussion
Doesn't it depend on the situation which is best? The concept of DPS is only valid when performing attacks on a monster with infinite lifepoints, or at least a big pool. When narrowed down, some styles should be optimal: Slayer - low defence pool: dual wield (Mod Mark mentions 90+ hit chance for correct style in livestream) Slayer - large def/small hp pool: no preferred style Slayer - large def/large hp pool: 2handed PvM/Group - large def: 2handed -

Tip.It Guides lacking substance/updated info/extensive info
Legionwizard replied to Ren's topic in Website Discussion
Eh, I only use Tipit for clue scrolls. For setups and info on skilling/boss hunting/... I try to scrounge the useful parts from RS Wiki and youtube videos from reputable players. Have tried Tipit for these things, but only inadequate information, here and there outdated. -
Nono, I turned it into a wily cat (better catch rate). I just didn't make it hauls its <cowabunga> off enough.

I have no aura (10500 loy. pts. in 4 days), may be seduced into getting a combat aura, but now mainly figuring out which direction I want to head in. I'd reckon farming is getting less profitable with EoC, and rocktails the new boss hunting food. Opinions, with extra focus in post EoC.

Only cat I ever had is lazy, been so for years (despite only using it for collecting spices). Then at some point turns back into wily, I'm super happy... it turns back into lazy after 2 mouse catches -.-

Botany Bay & Ozan Quest Double Bill - Sept. 26th, 2012
Legionwizard replied to Dexek's topic in General Discussion
Isn't that just because of the update? Bots need to be reactivated etc... -
Saw announcer at Edgeville bank at non busy world yelling, threw some tomatoes and got macro ban. Then got teleported to Lumbridge swamps, went back to Edgeville everybody else got the same. When I logged back on after update and did some smithing I accidentally clicked clan trophy plaque instead of counter. I totally freaked for a second. Waiting in lobby now. Some clarification by Jagex would be nice.

Botany Bay & Ozan Quest Double Bill - Sept. 26th, 2012

May I ask where this notion of a heat map comes from in the first place? As in, was it mentioned in a livestream, did a mod tell... where's the link to the official source? I ask, because I saw it get dropped into the community, but I don't recall it seeing on any Runescape hosted webpage or in any of their livestreams. -
Has a thread been made on RSOF about this? I'd help bump to help alert Jagex, it's best to get it popular soon, so they'll be forced to look into this.

New to the entire Polypore dungeon environment (been non active for more than a year). Heard these are quite annoying... should I block, or not. Are they fast to kill (I know the setup)? Is the money good enough to keep them off the block list?

Question for livestream: Any plans on retaining a prayer bonus for certain armors, considering the prayer drain is very high in the EoC? EDIT: I hear this has been fixed? -
Threshold levels in general: maximums
Legionwizard replied to Legionwizard's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
It's not good to lock out beginner players either. Look at the massive amounts of content that high lvl'ed players already have. Are we catering to a fading elite, or nurturing a future that all levels can profit from and makes the game sustainable (i.e. allows new levels some breathing room)? -
Don't forget bank gazing.

Threshold levels in general: maximums
Legionwizard replied to Legionwizard's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
You're assuming an awful lot here. What about new content introduced as low or mid-level? -
Lots of us have grinded away to get those minimum levels in order to access a new boss/equipment/skill ability. I was wondering, what do you people think of introducing maximum thresholds. This could pave the way for lower levels to get access to bosses and money making methods that higher levels can no longer monopolize on (but with drops/products that they could still find useful to buy). I prefer not to go into detail, but would this be considered a worthwhile idea? Pro's: - Less overflow of drops in market due to high level campers, allowing longer market sustainability - Lower level people are given a moneymaking method competitive to people with similar skills/combat levels - Incentive for new players, necessity for constant influx of new players/accounts Contra's:

I'm hoping to hear tips and tricks on how (good) dungeoneers keep track of stuff. I tend to have problems with this, and if able to improve, I might perform better overall. So what do you guys do: just pop up dungeon map once in a while, try to memorize a crude branch structure (critical path + de's), taking screenshots, drawing a little map during exploring? All help and input welcome, details as well.

Still possible though, I think several notes can be dropped by each boss, so we'll have to wait and see. Going from the jagex wiki there is only 1 for each god. Plus some 'explorer's notes' by some Dwarf that seems to be new. Odd, when I click on Zilyana's notes it tells me it's missing many pages and incomplete.
