Oh, I'm sorry, didn't know you make the rules for suggestions.

special skill for lvl 99's
There's no shame in leaving stuff open. The concept of extra features for lvl 99's doesn't exist up till now. And the topic starter gave some general ideas to show what he was talking about. There's no use in focusing about overpowered examples. Examples are used for clarification. And to me, this is a pretty clear suggestion. Give 99's an extra feature, besides the usual extra monster to kill, extra herb to grow, or potion to make. Like extra run energy for 99 agility. Simple to understand. And a novel idea

anyone think phats are overpriced?
So you are willing to pay 180m for one, and at the same time you call them overpriced? 'nuff said.

special skill for lvl 99's
Why? The concept is more important. And it's there: give 99's an extra feature. The examples are not relevant. I'm sure Jagex can come up with something that keeps the game balanced.

5 biggest problems in Runescape today.
I miss high level content. I still do all the stuff I did around level 80 in all skills. That is dissapointing.

The Case for Slayer
Fair enough. Though the topic starter seems to be wanting to claim that slayer is fun because of certain arguments. I'm saying that it's not possible to define "fun" like that. But if your intention is to discuss the optimal way to train combat, then I agree with you.

While there is slight differences in the sound reproduction of MP3 players, the differences are so small as to be irrelevant to a regular user. First of all, if you use anything less then a lossless audio source such as FLAC, you won't be able to tell a difference (which are much less common then lossy formats such as MP3). Second, you need a VERY high end sound system for any differences to be discerned - earbuds or headphones just can't do it. I have personally tested an ipod against a friend's Cowon player, and even with a 500 dollar pair of Shure E5C buds there was no difference - to be able to identify ANY difference at all, I had to plug the players into the ~5,000 dollar Alpine system in a car. The Ipod sounded better. Err, an iPod sounds better? That seems like impossible, lol. I already notice differences with semi-decent earphones. With high end stuff it becomes clear that the iPod lacks all forms of a decent bass or decently sharp high tones. Maybe our taste in sound just differs. Though I've never heard anyone that an iPod is even remotely decent, lol. Imo, the sound production of different players is quite obvious. With decent earphones, that is. No, no, no. It doesn't matter how brilliant the sound is. The equalizer is there to refine the music to your personal taste. Unless an audio system is perfectly adjusted to my liking. But that's not something you can trust on. You can't compensate with an equalizer. If something sounds bad, you can't make it any better with adjusting the DB's of the different tones.

The Case for Slayer
Since this is a game, it is the only argument that matters. Since it is purely subjective, it is an argument that has no relevance to the discussion. It is purely subjective whether you want to do slayer or not. I don't see why this is an discussion in the first place. Because the OP has claimed that slayer is one of the best skills in the game and put forth some very specific arguments besides "Slayer is my favorite skill and it's fun." I happen to disagree, on the basis that training slayer is a suboptimal method for training combat, earning money, and/or collecting charms. One plays this game for fun (lets assume that). Training a skill is based on whether one likes the skill or not (or simply wishes to complete all skills). Xp/h and gp/h might be important factors for some people, but in the end, all that matters is whether you like to do the skill or not. I mean, sure, you can debate whether slayer is a good money maker or a good way to gain xp, but the topic starter wants to prove that slayer doesn't suck. And whether something sucks is purely subjective. Therefore all arguments are useless. It's simply based on preference. And preferences are different among people. Someone can state that slayer is bad xp/h and gp/h, and I'll simply say I don't give a crap, because I like the skill. Since this is a game, it is the only argument that matters. Slayer is bad I win. Sound like a rediculous arguement right? Yeah. But that's because you fail to comprehend my post.

End Game Content?
We're talking about endgame content here. Aquanites don't qualify. Lvl 78 slayer is about 10% of 99. Slayer helmets and rings are great, but can also easily be obtained by low level players. Once again, it doesn't qualify for end game content. Like I said before, it is not relevant whether it's regarded as high or low level. It's simply not endgame content. Just like adding a lvl 78 potion is not endgame content, since there are higher levelled potions available.
-
End Game Content?
That was just a "low" level update. It doesn't add anything to the end game content. Don't bicker whether it's low or not. Fact is, it's not quite the highest level slayer monster available.

The Ban on Minigame Clans?
Uhm, gfy? Nice attitude there. Hope it wasn't a Jmod. Totally agree.

Well, yes, you can use a portable amp for your iPod. Though I doubt a lot of people will have an extra package on their player. It is true that headphones and quality of the file play an important role, though the quality of the player itself is not to be underestimated. If you want "perfect" quality, you need to look at the whole package. That means, good headphones, a good player, and high quality files. Mostly, it's the headphones that limit the quality. But that's because stock earbuds are usually crap. Though, Sony, Microsoft and Creative are recently stocking their player with decent earbuds. Next to "pure" quality... one might want to customize audio to their preferences. For me, I like to lower the bass a bit, and have a little bit more mid-high. That's where the equalizer comes in. The iPod lacks a good one. Cowon and iriver have plenty of audio customizing settings. Ah, the Sandisk Sansa Clip. Small sized, though one of the best sounding players on the market. You wouldn't expect it from such a small device, but it's true. I have one myself. The equalizer ain't all that great though. Yet, I do manage to customize the sound to my liking. If you want really good audio customization, get a Cowon. Though, don't toy around with useless stuff like "Mach3bass" and "SRSwow". Just use the equalizer. It's the little tweaks that improve the sound.

German twitter: French twitter: Animals... zoo... interior... Seems like a pet update is indeed logical to assume.

End Game Content?
There is a thread about end game content in the high level forum. Gives me the impression Jagex is aware of the "problem". Though I do wonder when we'll be seeing anything of it. We did have the new agility clothes though. I'd say it's a start.

That's not true. Different players use different audio chips, and using the same (good quality) ear buds, differences can certainly be observed between them. I always find that the iPod lacks dynamics. It sounds quite flat. Compare it with a Cowon iAudio D2, for example. A much more clear bass sound and the high tones are much more defined.

You could ask yourself why you have all those pets. ;) I only have a pet dragon, since all the other ones are inferior, and therefore I don't need them. But I suppose it could be fun if you could have a bunch of pets running around your house...

I don't hope they mean the Jagex Store... It´s an ingame thing right? Pet houses sounds lame by the way.

Your examples are a bit overpowered, but I like the concept.

Do you import all your music as FLAC? Because when your importing all your music as FLAC instead of your typical MP3 music file your already getting much greater quality because FLAC is lossless meaning you don't loss any quality and an MP3 is lossy meaning when your importing that some of the audio file is lost and you loss quality. Importing? I drag and drop. That's the way to go. I'm not dealing with sluggish programs to fill my player with music. And, ofcourse, I know what the difference between a FLAC file and an MP3 file is.... And honestly, I don't see what the world sees in MP3. The world would be a better place if everyone used Ogg Vorbis and FLAC :P

iPod Clones
I'm not sure I understand. An MP3 is an MP3. There is little change between them. Many places, including iTunes, stock music at 256kbps. The only thing that will change the quality of the sound you here, then, are the headphones though which you listen. The mp3-player you use for listening also affects quality. And the iPod can't match the top players, like Cowon or iriver. The iPod is really a mediocre music player. And it lacks audio customizing options. It doesn't even have a custom equalizer. And the presets are rubbish. If you want quality in music, don't buy an iPod. Get a Cowon player with FLAC-support, and be amazed.

Your first car
What's surprizing about not having a car at 19? No clue. I'm 21 and won't have a car for quite a while. I'm still studying and that means there is not much to spend. Can't imagine young people like me really needing a car.
