  1. Well I doubt you knew about the Guy Faulks thing, so that's +1 for Thanksgiving :P
  2. Is it that hard to click on a guide or something? I mean, come on... Anyways, fire giants would be good. Or hell hounds if you want a bit of variation.
  3. Well the fact is that Thanksgiving is much more well known in outher countries. For example in Holland we're familiar with Thanksgiving.. but that Guy Faulks thing.. no sir. The only reason for Jagex to celebrate Thanksgiving is due to it's popular nature among the players.
  4. Well they still refer to British stuff in their quests and such. So I don't think they'll completely lose their British heritage. Though, in online games, it doesn't really matter where the roots lie due to the diversity in cultures that play the game. I mean, adding a typical British event into the game wouldn't be very logical if only a small percentage of the players are in fact British.
  5. Relax dude. It's really quite not-done to call people immature when you just have a different opinion. Flaming without having a valid argument, that's what I'd call immature.
  6. Thanksgiving is very well known. It would be more logical to celebrate Thanksgiving (which in the US isn't a celebration for survival either - at least not anymore) than some weird eastern Europe day for celibrating the victory in some war in the late 13th century. Besides the character of thanksgiving fits the game. We could complain about Christmas and Eastern celebration aswell, since they're Christian celebrating days.
  7. Grandmaster quest? Sounds like a decent reward could be involved. As for the minigame.. I hope there are some decent rewards for playing it. Last thing we need is another minigame that's basically a waste of time.
  8. Personally I still think the lvl 3 clues are worth the time spend. It's still great money for the time spent. I usually finish the clues in around 15 minutes, in which profits would be an average of 100k, I think. That still averages 400k/h, which is pretty good by my standards. And besides, there's the chance on 3rd age armour... A little luck and you're pretty much rich.
  9. Your combat level would only be affected in PvP worlds when you're actually carrying a summoning pouch, or are using, or recently used a pouch. In other words, if you train summoning, but don't use it, your combat won't be affected on PvP worlds. You'll get the extra combat levels on PvP worlds when you actually use the skill.
  10. Well ofcourse they can *make* night time, but making a day/night cycle is something totally different. It will also require a lot more coding and more difficulty implementing it into the game. Sure, Draynor is dark now, which fits the Halloween setting, but I doubt this relates to a possible day/night cycle coming up.
  11. Nostalgic feelings, I know them. Doesn't mean Runescape is getting ruined. Millions of people still enjoy playing it.
  12. That's sick, mic. Lol, sorry. Congratulations. The best achievement one can achieve, imo.
  13. You get 15 points each task, except for on every 10th task, where you get 75 points, and every 50th task where you get even more (forgot how much).
  14. Darn. I just walked around Varrock and didn't see anything. Now I know why. Thanks.
  15. Might be a stupid question.. but I honestly can't find it. Anyone?

Damn, are you people still discussing about this? I mean, seriously.. Liking a skill is a personal opinion. Get over it.
  17. Herbs can't be compared with allotment plantings. Don't post if you don't know what you are talking about. I think 15-30 is a good estimation of what the watermelons yield. You can get less than 15 or more than 30 ocassionally, but most of your yields will be within the 15-30 range.
  18. Amen. I have nothing to add.
  19. If you bothered to check the update thread, you would have seen that everyone got this message.
  20. Nice, very mysterious. Jagex is really building up something big from the looks of it.
  21. What does this mean? For all we know, the mith dragon dungeon is nearby and there is a door that wont open... I think it has something to do with the upcoming quest. Personally this sentence is the most interesting of the whole update, lol. Auto-filling of compost bins is nice aswell.

There are like a gazillion threads about this subject. Deal with it. It's not likely it will ever change. Runescape is filled with these people.

I don't PK, but personally I think it's unacceptable. Randoms should have no influence on PvP or whatsoever. Also, they could easily knock randoms out when being in a PvP world. They could turn them on again when one starts -for example- cutting a tree. But randoms while PvP'ing? No, that's just plain wrong. It only irritates people and serves no other purpose.
