  1. Ha, I've been playing a month longer than you have. That makes me a bit cooler than you are. Lolz.
  2. That's not quite "playing a game" anymore.
  3. Uhm, duh? The only way you can be proved otherwise is when Jagex states sailing won't come out. Jagex will not do that. Kind of weird to say that "you offer no evidence to prove me otherwise" while one is in no position to do that even though he or she could be totally right. While it might be opinions.. they are in this case predictions, and they should be backed up with valid arguments. If you're going to say it's just an opinion we might aswell discuss the weather. There's a difference between random speculation and speculation based on certain findings.
  4. Well, you have a valid point there. On the other hand. We have a lot of space on the map that isn't used that much. Some cities are actually completely abandoned. They could just try to revive those places with the quest content.
  5. Definately get 85. It's worth it. Those stouts are just plain annoying. You're already so close.. just push a little harder for the last levels. Nice skiller btw. Quite decent stats for a F2P skiller.
  6. Search the desk in the room where the head mourner is. Edit: Drats, beaten to it by the poster above.
  7. Well I'm sure they'll keep the code, but I doubt it'll be there after they abandon it. Less code to run = good. I think. But what do I know..

People are scum. You should be aware of someone's intentions when they start asking you to be their friend out of the blue. You don't "ask" to be friends, you become friends, and that takes time. Get used to it. As your level increases, the amount of scum attracted will increase aswell. Sad but true.
  9. If you show a certain form of human intelligence, some people will see you as a nerd. I'd suggest ignoring them. Their opinion is based on plain stupidity and ignorance.

In my own experience, those money beggars have decreased after the trade limit. Sure, they're still around, but before the trade limit I'd have like 5-10 people each day begging me for money. Now it's an average of 1 per day.
  11. Allthough you did it the easy (but expensive) way, it's still a great 99. Congratulations.
  12. Indeed. To have all skills 99 means by definition that you know the ways of the game. Doesn't mean you're better or more elite.. or whatever. But it does mean that you're more experienced in the game than the average scaper. Therefore feedback will be more accurate and with higher quality than average. You don't have to feel discriminated for not having access. Not having access doesn't mean you're worth less, or know less, or whatever. Jagex just needs simple criteria for letting experienced people in a dedicated forum, and this is the best way to do it. Personally, I have no problem with such a forum and encourage all those high lvl skillers to give accurate feedback for improving the game. I think that this will actually improve the game. Someday I hope to reach those forums aswell :)
  13. Well, maybe percentage wise, but not in absolute numbers, as can be deduced from the table. Interesting scheme. Personally I value xp more than profit, but it shows that farming can yield quite a bit of money.
  14. Well, the older skills aren't as sophisticated as the newer ones... but we still need them. Mining, woodcutting, fishing... they're those essential skills that maintain influx of raw material in the game. You can make money with them. In contrary to skills like construction and summoning (well, you could sell the pouches.. but still, usually they cost more to make). Thus, we are rewarded for those skills. Raw material grinding is a big part of the game and some people actually enjoy that. And how do you want to upgrade them? It's not very easy to make a skill such as woodcutting suddenly very appealing because of the variety. It will remain a simple action of cutting the tree. If Jagex were to start over with Runescape, the skills would probably have looked different. But now that we have them, they play an essential role in the game, that makes them hard to be changed in a way to make them look like the skills with a lot of variety in them, like summoning.
  15. A religion is what they call it? Well, maybe where you live, but here they're on an official list of cults. But yeah, if you want a view on what those extremists believe, you should watch the South Park episode. Granted, it's not quite neutral, but it sure gives you a good laugh and certain bits of facts of what they actually believe.
  16. Your comment is even more stupid. Generalising F2P'ers like that only makes you look like a moron.
  17. Ah, yes... the waiting. It was a real pain with only a 56.6k modem. Using the RS client was mandatory for a pleasant gaming experience. The good old days... I'd love to go back and look around for a while. I remembered when I started there where only 3 servers. Surely I wouldn't be really playing that anymore, but it sure is fun to bring up some memories.
  18. Darn, that's pretty much unbeatable. I had 2 in like 10 kills once, which I thought was already quite impressive.
  19. QFT. It's as simple as that.
  20. Honestly, this method of getting to level 99 has been around for ages.
  21. Your opponent in FoG isn't just there for your convenience.
  22. Well, in terms of quality, the Koss is the absolute winner here.
  23. That's your opinion. Some people actually have a different opinion and just feel that they CAN use the items that Jagex provided us with in this game. I mean, if you both agree to not using pots, and your opponent does use them anyway, that's basically lying. Other than that, there is no reason to not be using them. The fact that you think it's not in the spirit of whatever is not relevant at all. I wouldn't know why I should respect an opinion like that in a battle where the aim is to defeat one by all means possible. If you want a fight without pots, ask someone to agree on that. If you don't, do that, it's your loss. I won't be holding myself back in duels just because some people are too cheap to use potions in fights. I will not have to lower myself to their standards in play. Not seeing any valid arguments for not using pots here.

Well, all of your suggestions are pretty good. Personally I'd get the MX518, but that's just me. It fits my hand just fine so that's my reason for picking it. You should try them somewhere to see what fits yours best.
