XBOX is in the news again..
Did you really expect them to not release because of a minor bug that can be fixed anyway? Oblivion is FULL of glitches, but they released that anyway. Made MILLIONS. Microsoft made BILLIONS and is the only console to have a monopoly for a few years. Releasing it early was a financial miracle. So you would need to buy a new 360 if you don't want it to break down? The RROD isn't a minor bug. It is very major, it has cost them over a billion so it would have been better for the company and buyer to just have delayed it. Not really. It's covered in the warranty so it costs nothing to the consumer to get it fixed other than a month with no xbox, which the majority of the xbox's base doesn't really care about because they're not the "hardcore" gamers. Also, you get a 1 month xbox live trial with your free repair, so really, it's not that major of an issue.

for canadian players. would you have voted for a coalition?
I'm a member of the NDP and I don't agree with this move at all. It would put us at 5(?) elections in the past 4 years? Besides, I think people are going to be so fed up with the liberals and NDPs constantly trying to undermine the conservative minority government that they'll just vote a conservative majority in. And would you Quebecers just shut the [bleep] up already? You don't seem to understand that we don't care about what you have to say.

Left 4 Dead
You don't think it would be fun to play as a zombie for a change? :| I can't decide whether to get this for the 360 or PC. Argh.

Call of Duty: World at War
My major annoyance with CoD4 was that it took way too many shots to kill people, and on top of that they only had 2 hardcore modes. To me this game just looks like CoD4 in the jungle. I might pick it up if it drops in price, but right now L4D is ranking way ahead of it for me.

Why does everyone think governments are evil/out to get us?
A lot of these wild conspiracy theories stem from at least some grain of truth. Bush's association with the Bin Laden family (which is a well documented fact) is a little bit coincidental you have to admit. I'm not sure if I believe the upper echelons of Bush's government staged (or at least did nothing to stop) the 9/11 attacks, but neither did the German's believe that it was Hitler who set fire to the Reichstag. Perhaps my brain will fall out at some point, but until then I won't close off any possibilities.

Could a Facist Democracy work?
A better fit would be a benevolent dictator. Someone who's fair but unflinching in punishment of law-breaking citizens. The population could also enjoy freedom of speech and freedom of press (in this imaginary country). Unfortunately, we're all human though, and that much power would eventually corrupt anyone.
