  1. Me neither, but then again my countries's ISPs are among the best in the world. :smug:
  2. Oh my word. This game is going to be either utterly amazing or at least fun as hell. Will definitely get it.
  3. Hunter is so much fun. I just soloed a 5-man quest as a level 22, the quest level was 21. I have a piggy sidekick whom I named Burzum, but I'm looking to get a gorilla as soon as I come across one (his name will be Randy). Also my non-goon friend who was the rogue classleader in Goon Squad on Venture Co., turns out he started playing on this server as well a while back and is currently an officer in the guild. :) Right now I don't see myself ever returning to my rogue, I haven't had this much fun playing WoW in... over 3 years.
  4. This bit of advice is both sensible and healthy.
  5. What the article fails to mention is that he also gave her a "rare songbook signed by Richard Rodgers" which is pretty [bleep]ing cool. She gave him a signed portrait of her and the prince. [hide=Songlist]"Oklahoma!" 6. We got "P1mp My Mount!". I didn't get it at first and was very much looking forward to my future raptor mount with flames on the sides. Blizzard!! *shakes fist*
  7. If it's not too late, I'll give this a shot as well.
  8. Oh god, no I hadn't seen these before. I like how they spend the entirety of the 3rd video talking about cupcakes, roll-on butter and weird American food, all while having a remixed techno version of "Geenie in a Bottle" playing in the background. The fact that one of the guys sound exactly like Russell Brand makes it even funnier. [sarcasm detector] Haha, no I was quite serious. I guess they're funny in an absurd and stupid kind of way. Since, like kemikalkadet said, they're supposed to talk about boss strategies - not the difference between muffins and cupcakes. e: upon reading my post again, it does have a bit of a sarcastic tone. My bad! The videos are genuinely entertaining!

The fact that one of the guys sound exactly like Russell Brand makes it even funnier. On a slightly different note I didn't know the YOGS guild on The Venture Co. was still active. I'm good friends with the former rogue CL. He wasn't even a goon.
  10. They've never had any of that. It was just an on-going joke between Goons and "pubbies" (non-Goons) - it was just the latter who believed it. Ok then. yeah I fell for that for a while too, back when I was new to the whole "goon" idea. Do you just need to prove your SA membership to get in or something? Yeah. There's a whole subforum on SA dedicated to WoW (much better and more informative than the official WoW forums, imo), where there are threads for all the "goon guilds". Just post "I want in on this" in one of the guild threads followed by your username and you'll get an invite. You can also have close friends invited, so it's not strictly an SA-only guild. It's quite fun to read the guildchat when they're messing with RPers (it's an RP-PVP server).

  12. Very nice list. There are a few bands/artists in there which I've been meaning to get into, but haven't had an idea where to start; now I have. When I have the time I will definitely see how many of these albums are available on Spotify. Damn, now I feel like compiling one of these myself.
  13. Hahah, this is actually really hilarious. Anyway. Just joined Goon Squad on Sporeggar. The moment my level 1 joined the guild, a paladin belf rode past me, stopped in his tracks, and said "dude, leave the guild while you still can, it's the most hated guild on this server." 8-) Still doesn't stop a lot of "pubbies" from lining up to join it, even when the GS leaders make them do all kinds of dumb [cabbage] like have them recite passages from the Torah (but not before making them embrace our "Jewish faith"), run around naked in Orgrimmar and yell obscenities (which are then reported), etc. Oh and they've killed Thrall and all bankers in Orgrimmar at least once. It's a horde guild. They're super friendly to guildies though. The moment I joined I had people whisper me asking if I ever need help with anything to just send a /w their way, they gave me 20 slot bags, 20+ gold, level 25-35 arrow quivers, glyphs, and blah blah. And the guild chat is super active. It's really refreshing to be in a guild that doesn't give a [cabbage] what other people think of it, everybody's just in it for the fun. Whether that entails griefing people of the same faction, or the opposite faction, doesn't matter. People in the guild are reported... uh, quite often. :P I'm really loving playing a troll hunter too!
  14. Jack & Jones has some really nice shirts and they're usually quite cheap ($40-$60 for a long-sleeved). I go to JC or Carlings for jeans, usually Levi's. For t-shirts I usually just wear some B&W band tee or something from Carlings or Jack & Jones.
  15. Hey I like sxephil. He's a pretty smart dude who talks about recent news and stuff. It's usually fairly entertaining.
  16. Yeah, I must keep the name and HP separate, so that makes it a lot bigger. I suppose I could reduce the scale though. I want to start using Pitbull and place the health bar at the bottom, with my name to the left outside it. That however requires a widescreen, which is something I don't have; it gets too cluttered with my current one. I want to start playing on my troll hunter.
  17. I feel your pain. Ran Karazhan with my old guild at least 17 times, and the rogue chest from Nightbane only dropped once for us, and of course it had to happen while I was on holiday, so the druid got it. It was the only thing I needed as well. On a slightly different note, I just tweaked my UI a bit: Figure this is the best I can get with my current 19" screen. I really need to get me a 21" widescreen. I also dinged 77 today, epic flying mount a'hoy!
  18. I've decided to roll a troll hunter and join a goon guild on Sporeggar as soon as I get my rogue to 80. I'll see if I continue playing on the rogue or not, but if I do I'll probably transfer it to Talnivarr. edit: grats on 80, Nadril. :)
  19. Haha wow, you listen to Änglagård? Kung Bore is such a fantastic song. Their CDs are basically impossible to get a hold of though... I think they just released a couple of hundred copies or something. A friend of mine is good friends with the bass player. I'm not very well-versed in what exactly constitutes prog rock, and it doesn't particularly interest me either - but according to that list I listen to quite a bit of it. Rush, Atomic Rooster, Camel, Van der Graaf Generator, Birth Control, Wishbone Ash (?) Roxy Music, Magnum, Fates Warning, The Mars Volta (they're prog, right?) and of course Porcupine Tree. I suppose Grand Funk Railroad is more funk hard-rock, but I'll mention them anyway. I tend not to obsess with genres much, though. Good job on the OP, btw.
  20. Yeah, the downloader is terrible. Just go to http://www.wowwiki.com and search for "mirrors", then download the correct patch version.
  21. Hey man, huscarls kick [wagon]. Directly translated, it means "house-men", though... But yeah, the only downside to Nords is that they don't have any mounted troops. That's why you have a healthy mix of Rhodok and Nord troops, with some Vaegir archers thrown in there. I should really start to bother putting troops in my garrisons though. :P It's a bit frustrating to run back and forth between your castles and cities all the time. House troops back then were the elite of the elite. They were Lord's personal bodyguards in battles. And just stuff recruits into castles, the AI puts more weight on numbers than the level of the troops. Nice! You hear that, Lenticular? They're like medieval goddamn Jack Bauers. Also, I thought you had to level up the troops if they would be of any use in garrisons. This is good. I have a few villages that pretty much love me and each time I recruit I get 20-25 troops.
  22. Sorry for the double-posting. Just wanted to let my fellow Europeans know that if you really want Spotify but you're in a country where the free version of Spotify currently isn't available (invite codes don't work etc.), then you can just purchase a premium account, ~10eur/month. It apparently works in most European countries.
  23. come to talnivarr EU if you're alliance. Its a pretty well balanced PvP realm ( 46% - 54% alliance - horde), we have awesome progression (7 guilds with 3 drakes down, another 10 with 2 down) and our battlegroup is decent (reckoning) Sounds pretty good, never heard of it though. Are there ever any queues to log onto the server? e: Just checked the realm forum quickly. Seems to be a lot of Swedes on Talnivarr. :? 2 of the top guilds are actually largely greek. Theres no queues, and theres a very good balance of nationalities. Of course the predominant language is english though. The transfer sometimes takes 5 days though. Ah well, I'll start by activating my account, and if I absolutely cannot stand my server, I'll seriously and definitely consider transferring to Talnivarr. :)
