  1. A sword replica of Excalibur. God I want to go back 9 years and beat myself up for ever thinking that was [cabbage] was cool.
  2. It's fun to [bleep] [cabbage] up; subtract to this empathy or morality or fear of getting caught. Arsonists are truly scum in every sense of the word, and I sincerely hope each one involved get their comeuppance.
  3. From what power metal I have heard the vocals are clean, so I can hear them. Having said that, I can't really argue that the lyrics are cheesy considering I like a fair bit of death metal. Have you tried Hibria? I'm not a fan of power metal, but I really like them. The 'Defying The Rules' album is great. EDIT: haha holy [cabbage], wrong album/band
  4. Sweet, I just became a marshal. Now I can ask other lords to follow me around, raid places, patrol, and a bunch of other stuff. :) Btw, lances freaking own! I just mow [cabbage] down.
  5. This was on new year's eve, and I was about to refill my cellphone before heading out. My bank has this feature on their website if you log on to your account, it's very simple and there's usually no problems with it at all. Except this time. It said the amount I tried to fill my phone with (15eur) hadn't been completely transfered; that they were "frozen". So I can't use the money either, and it turns out there's only a 1% chance that they will ever come back. It's been 2 months and the money still hasn't shown up. I'm too lazy to call the bank to see if they can sort it out. I've got a subscription now. I've done a lot of shopping online, with a number of services that could easily have screwed me over - yet there's been no problems there. Funny that it would be my own bank that did it instead.
  6. Wow I feel stupid now. I changed everything to 'Normal' and now I'm up at 80% - and goddamn tournaments are pretty hard now. Especially if you get bow and arrow each round. I still own in regular skirmishes though! This is way funner though, since it was ridiculously easy to take over castles before. Yeah, I play with "quit without saving". :P I don't wanna overdo it!
  7. - Thin Lizzy - UFO - - Pride & Glory - Porcupine Tree - - - - Summoning - Death EDIT: added links.
  8. You can also command your soldiers during battles (stand your ground, advance, fall back, charge, follow me, etc.) it's very cool. You can also do different kinds of battle formations but I haven't really looked into that yet. I've already got the full game, but thanks anyway. I got it immediately after being blown away by the demo. Got it for 7.5eur too (it was 75% off through Steam). :) Yea the troop formations are a mod for the game, lemme go see if I can find it. Oh, and are you playing on default difficulty Azvareth? I'm on like 80% atm. Oh, now that you mention it I remember the troop formations being in the Native Expansion mod. I thought it was in Native as well, for some reason - my bad. I have no idea what difficulty I play on, haha. I just hit "OK, OK, OK, LET'S GO!". This might be a pretty solid explanation as to why I am utterly obliterating forces that are like 50 men larger than mine... :P Adding this to tomorrow's to-do list.

  10. No, but I've noticed certain factions' cities will make you more likely do get certain weapons. Nords are more likely to give you axe and shield, Vaegir more likely to give you horse and lance (I think?), Swadian more likely to give you either sword and shield or a two-handed melee weapon etc. Bows are easy though! Just hit 'R' and then shift to zoom, aim slightly above the head.
  11. Oh, I'm very well aware that it's rude. You don't get much fun out of life if you're always polite! I don't understand the whole "don't post in a thread you dislike, you're only bumping it!" argument though - would you rather I posted a separate thread? Either way, that's not something I would do (effort). Imagine how this forum would look if we all made threads about threads that annoy us! That would just be silly. And I already explained the second part of your post on the previous page. Yeah, aren't we "exchanging ideas"? Call it discussion then if you prefer. I'm sorry that that comment somehow made me come off as elitist though; that wasn't my intention!
  12. Really, regardless of what weapon you get, the tournaments are piss easy. If you get an opponent on a horse with a melee weapon, while you get a bow... just trick the AI into running into a corner and he'll horse around there for a while (laugh record). Then just shoot the horse until it dies and he'll be easy to pick off after that. If you get a melee weapon and no mount vs. an opponent with a mount - when he charges against you, just jump up and smack him off the horse (he will die). It takes like two good hits or something. Seriously, I have never lost a tournament. They are incredibly easy.
  13. Oh, but I'm not taking this seriously at all. For future reference, I very rarely take forum discussions seriously at all... I thought this was pretty obvious. I guess my sense of sarcasm is so utterly refined it avoided even your detection? Furthermore the fact that you consider immaturity to be "totally subjective" is probably because you belong to an age group that is considered to be immature. So trying to debate this with you will prove pointless and not very interesting. Everybody is immature once in a while, absolutely, but trying to impress people with stories of how completely off-the-walls wacky you are isn't just immature, it's really stupid - and I'll be damned if I see any of that in my glorious Tip.It forum. What980, maybe you should learn to make good threads first or something. Asking people for their "thought process of how they got to that thought" will not work for a thread like this. Probably because the majority of the stories are made up, I don't know. Kudos for putting effort into the OP though. EDIT: ninja pirates monkey cheese
  14. I'm not in position to voice my opinion on an internet forum? I think you've got this whole "messageboard" thing a little backwards, since I'm not making anyone do anything; and my posts have pertained to the topic in question* -- somewhat. You make it sound like I'm some kind of forum terrorist with an elaborate evil agenda, holy crap. *well, until now. Now I am way off topic - thanks a lot jerk!
  15. Yeah, I realise it's because there's a lot of people who get turned on by cartoons with big jugs. What I don't understand is how sensible, socially-functioning people (such as yourself?) can ignore all that stuff, and still think "oh gee this show sure is great". Not to mention all the meaningless fillers and stuff, it's just... between the clueless girls, the "AH! EH!"'s said grittily by one of anime's 12 male voice actors, the redundant monologues explaining everything for the viewer etc... where's the actual content at? Maybe I'm overstressing this whole thing; all these things might not be very prevalent in the good anime series? Also, since she was held in a lab room, I don't think it would be such a stretch of the imagination to put a labcoat in there somewhere. While on the subject, I used to watch an anime series when I was about 4-5 years old. It was set in the future out in space. It was about 4 crew members on a spaceship, and their battle with some "people" (I don't think they were aliens or monsters). The crew had 3 guys: one in a red suit (leader), one in a blue suit, and one in a green suit (a fat guy) - and 1 girl who had a pink suit or something. They had their own special weapons - I only remember the green guy's weapon which was a big [bleep]ed ball mace. I don't really remember anything of the story though. I used to love that show, but I only had access to 2 or 3 episodes... so if it rings any bells, I'd like to know its name? :)
  16. Jesus.....the fact of the matter is, you may feel that by denouncing the "wackiness" or "randomness" that on-topic posters posted in this thread. You yourself have become the one who is obviously trying to gain attention, indirectly or not. You think, "heh, these stupid kids, they're so immature! I'm going to display my feelings of disagreement and annoyance on their thread! I'm above that!". I also find it hilarious how there is a team of posters who DISAGREE with the existence of the thread, yet their posts have been the main contributor of recent-bumps. This thread probably wouldn't be on the top part of the page if you hadn't done so, solving your so-called "disagreement" with the thread. Let it die. I'm sorry if there are threads here that get you a tad grumpy, but the beauty of this kind of forum is the variety of content. Sorry that you're angry that I aired my grievances with this thread. But if I see something inherently dumb, I am going to comment on it. I have actually managed to ignore these [cabbage]ty threads for a long time now, but you eventually get to a point where you figure, "now... now is the time to curbstomp these suckas." As for me trying to gain attention? As in... an internet celebrity? Oh I dare not even dream of such grandeur. Seriously, all of your points are pretty redundant and not very interesting. This thread is dumb, you can't question that, now you're telling me I should suck it up and ignore it - well that's not how I work. Maybe I made one user less likely to reply to a thread like this again. You see, I go off on spiels like this, in the hope that one day, my glorious TIF forum will... be rid of stupid [bleep]ing threads. Get off my lawn or something.
  17. Nord is where it's at. The huscarls are so damn awesome. Making money isn't hard. What I do in the beginning (I've restarted like 4 times) is head to the closest city, go to the arena and ask the guy there where the tournaments currently are. Then head there (your speed is like 8.4 when you're alone, so you run away from bandits with ease), bet 100 denars on myself each time, and win. I do that until I have around 15,000 denars, that's like 4 games. I've found that going: Steppe, Steppe, Squire, Revenge when creating my character gives me quite an upper-hand in the tournaments. Anyway, after I've made some cash I buy myself some gear and a good horse, and then recruit a bunch of soldiers from the villages, as well as heroes from the cities and gear them up a bit. Level those up on bandits and deserters until a kingdom offers me to become a vassel, and that's when the fun starts. :) What I usually do is start off, pick the faction I want to work for (just in my head, they don't offer it right away of course), then see who they're at war with. I recruit my army of 30 or so odd peasents and go and raid villages and steal their cattle and stuff. Eventually that kingdom starts hating me, and I get the option to plunder and burn villages instead of just demanding supplies from them. I do that for a while, taking all their stuff and selling it off, using the money to buy equipment and better troops, and then my trial period runs out. Ah well, I should be getting this in a few days when the money gets to my paypal account. Well if you want to make money, don't start out by picking a faction the first thing you do, since that faction is most likely at war with other factions. Since winning tournaments is the best way to make money fast, and it's pretty difficult to enter a faction's city that you're at war with. :) Oh and I just conquered my first castle (Rhodoks) and my army is currently 105 man strong. I utterly wiped out their defense during the siege, I had only like 8 casualties or something (the Surgery skill rocks). And then they tried to take it back after I had left, so I returned and completely owned a Rhodok lord with an army of 128 - seriously, I had had one casualty. And I chased down the other lord who had only 48 men. That same lord rebuked me for "stealing his castle" as well, since it was apparently his originally. Oops. So now there's 2 lords rotting away in my garrison, accompanied by a bunch of sergeants and lancers and stuff. My henchmen don't seem to like me very much though... since two of them left me today. :P I'll get 'em back if I see them in a tavern later.
  18. Nord is where it's at. The huscarls are so damn awesome. Making money isn't hard. 19. Sadly no - and it doesn't. It's just that on other forums, this thread would have been locked and the OP ridiculed and banned - but here, a lot of people seem to think that this thread, ones like it, are a good idea. "heh guess what guys i am probably the most RANDOM and WACKY person my friends know of. 8-) *posts unfunny story*" Reb said it better in his previous post, I guess. Asperger's.
  20. Some news: an expansion is currently under development. It will feature, among other things, multiplayer. :)
  21. Threads like these literally are the worst kind of threads. When will you guys realise that you can't post a "how _______ are YOU?" topic and expect anything but a thread full with awkward posters trying to be funny or people trying to boost their ego ("heh yea i bench 430lbs and am 8'5 what of it? 8-)"). Why... why are you people actually making serious attempts at trying to show how "random" you are? I swear to god you're all aspies or something.
  22. Double Dragon 2 on the NES. Goddamn impossible.
  23. Haha, selling lords you've captured is a great way to make money. I just sold one for 3600 denars, and another one for 5200. Got 36,000 denars now! :)
  24. I just had a L4D-related dream. I haven't played the game in like a month. What the hell. Btw, sas there been any rumour as to when the SDK (or whatever it's called?) will be released by Valve?
  25. Still active I think. They were supposed to support BLS in November (yeah...), but for some reason they never played. I can't imagine why anyone would miss them if they did break up though. They're like a nu-metal Scooter.
