This. Also Zakk Wylde's/BLS's cover of: (Led Zeppelin) Heart of Gold (Neil Young) Whiter Shade of Pale (Procol Harum) No More Tears (Ozzy Osbourne - not really a cover though since Zakk wrote it) (Lynyrd Skynyrd) Snowblind (Black Sabbath) Also Iron Maiden's cover of UFO's . The original is still one of my favourite songs ever.

Find a new job. Find a new education that actually interests me by March/April. Start working out more regularly. Read more. Drink less. Oh boy.

Well, of the people who currently post here there are a few whose posts I almost always read, regardless what topic it is: Lateralus, warrior45, How2PK, assassin_696, indy500fan, Ginger_Warrior. They don't try too hard and seem to always have something interesting to say.

So it is actually decent then? I tried to watch the first episode but I just couldn't get through it. I think it was the acting... Anyway, I'll give it another shot when I have time, then!

Nice! I'm crossing my fingers that a friend will get me tickets for his concert over here (he hates his music, so it won't be all that easy to convince him). And hopefully more than one ticket so I won't have to go alone. :) Too bad your mate doesn't like his music! But why don't you buy two tickets for your own and go with someone who can appreciate his music? Well he can most likely fix me as many free tickets I want, so I'll just go with some other mates instead (who happen to like him a lot). :) He also got me two tickets for the AC/DC concert in Gothenburg sometime in June. So I'm seeing them in both February and June... and I don't even like them. :P It'll be fun though: me and another friend of mine, plus him and 30 of his other mates will rent a few cabins and have three awesome days filled with music and beer!

40eur is pretty cheap by today's standards.

Wow nice, thanks for sharing. Especially looking forward to the medic update, since that's my preferred class. Also the dispenser update is well needed. I hardly ever use them except for restocking on ammo, I basically only use them for healing when there are two dispensers right next to eachother (my guild has a mod on our 2fort server... engis can build 2x dispensers and 2x SGs each :D )

I really can't understand how Tru Blood has become to popular, or why so many people seem to love it. I watched the 6 first episodes, because I found the idea to be interesting (vampires finally being able to come out and become a somewhat accepted part of society, plus the whole synthetic blood in bottles thing etc.), but it's basically soft porn coupled with terrible acting and a plot that seemed to go absolutely nowhere. Also, Sookie is a really stupid name. How has this show become to popular when shows like Crusoe receive so much hate?

I love the way he denied it in an interview. "No you see, Queen's version goes like dundundun-dundundun-dun, whereas mine goes dundundun-dundundun-dun" Oh Robert Matthew Van Winkle, you silly card!

Seeing Motörhead and Airbourne on Saturday.

I watched the first season of it, and then sorta forgot about it. Good show though, and when I get the time I intend to pick up where I left.

Coldplay are pretty known to steal crap from other artists and bands. Hell, they didn't even come up with the bandname themselves. Joe Satriani owns.

Definitely Killer's "Ad Tempus Vitate". And while it's not strictly instrumental, I've always really liked Deep Purple's "April" (it's a 12 min song, and there's only a bit of singing in the last minute). Gary Moore's cover of Roy Buchanan's "The Messiah Will Come Again" is great as well.

what kind of music you want to play? and a thing to consider about guitars are effects...you have to buy a good pedal too. but seriously what kind of music you plan to play? Oh dear sir, mayhaps you ought to have taken the time to read through this 17-post monster of a thread before posting lest you look like a dribbling fool. Seriously, it's the 5th bloody post. As for pedals, nope he doesn't.

The Killers - For Reasons Unknown. Don't know what it is, but I'm currently digging the [cabbage] out of this band.

If we're speaking in terms of societal destruction then I would cite Paris Hilton as the most brutal artist* ever. Except we aren't. *screw you, she made one album

It makes me sad that not even all the quirky smiley refrigerator magnets in the world would make me use Yahoo's IM client.

I hate to be a semantic [wagon], but I'm saving you from possible future humiliation by pointing out that the guitar you purchased is most definitely not a Gibson SG. In other words, SG's go for $1000+. Looks like you got screwed. Hm no, you could get an SG for under $100. The model has little to do with the price of the guitar, it's the manufacturer that basically decides 80% of the pricetag. In Gibson's case however, just because you pay a small fortune for one of their guitars doesn't mean it's gonna be a quality guitar, so you will get screwed nonetheless.

I wasn't very excited about it in the beginning. I read a bit about it on idg.se a few months ago, but I still had no idea what it was about until today when I got the invitation. I don't even remember that I signed up for it. It really is great though, and I would be very surprised if this doesn't get huge, since it's a lot last.fm, except without the [cabbage]ty community, 30 sec previews and slowness of said website. :) I just hope they keep up expanding on the library a lot.

I was recently invited to the beta of Spotify. It's a Swedish product that's basically a mix between services like iTunes and sites like Last.fm. You first register an account on the website, and once that's done you download the software itself (which is a measly 1.5mb in size). It is really easy to get into. Just like in last.fm, you search for artists and bands you like/are interested in (you can search by genre too), and (in most cases) an impressively wide music library appears, you can then sort the tracks by popularity etc. What's special about Spotify is that you can listen to the entire songs, even entire albums, track by track. So no 30 second samples or anything like that. Granted, if you're only into obscure bands not many people know about you might find yourself disappointed by the lack of available tracks by these artists at this stage. So far I've been really impressed with the library though, they have had songs by several artists I know have a very small fanbase. And it's only in beta phase so far. - One feature, "what's new?", is frequently updated with newly released albums by artists. I just listened to GlasVegas newest album in its entirety. :) - Like in last.fm, there's also radios. Just select what genres you want to listen to, and then specify further by selecting your preferred decade. - You can create your own playlists. - You can purchase and download tracks "from selected retailers" (usually iTunes). Best of all is that it's legal. You will be able to create a free account on there later on (now it's invite-only), a natural downside of this though is that you get these 20-something second sound-advertisements in between songs (yes, the guys at Spotify actually had the brains and decency enough to not put these ads during songs!). These ads seem to appear after every 4th song or so. So far it's only been artists talking about Spotify and how great it is, and a few ads from local radio stations. So you won't get ads for cat food or anything like that in the future, which I think is great. They are surprisingly enough not particularly annoying at all, since they're about music. If you do not want ads, you can buy either a "day pass" or a "premium pass". Anyway, just wanted to share this with you and hear your thoughts on this. I think it's quite exciting and it'll be interesting to see how big this thing gets. I love the fact that you can access it from wherever you are, as long as you have internet access: just download the installer, log-on to your account and BAM! you have instant access to unlimited music. Check out the video on the site to learn more.
