Join the steam group! (TIFourDead) Also sorry cadbury for killing you earlier today (I didn't know it was you :P ). Me and a friend were playing with another friend who had just bought the game one hour prior - to show him the basics. But somehow I accidentally set the mode to Expert when I set up the game. During the round you joined us we had basically said "screw this, let's just try to run through it and see how far we get" and then we'd play versus afterwards. When we spawned again we all agreed on that the only honorable way to end the campaign was to blow eachothers' heads off. Our team completely dominated in versus though!

A Les Paul seems to be your best bet, really. Fatter sound, plenty of diversity and not overly expensive. You might be able to find an alright Epiphone one for £150 if you're lucky.
-
What kind of music do you play? What amps do you have?
-
Well, having an electric guitar without an amp sort of defeats the purpose of going electric. Otherwise I would have suggested that you save up a bit more, because I can tell you now that you won't get a quality amp for $150. I'd say the best option for you is to buy one second hand; fine-comb craigslist and ebay auctions and hope for the best.
-
Just curious, do you have an amp right now?
-
Oh and in case some of you didn't know, if you melee a zombie from behind they die instantly. I first noticed this yesterday... I just meleed a smoker to death though! :)
-
Yeah seriously, this is quite annoying. It's only proper to give a short backstory in your OP.
-
Oh maan, finally beat Death Toll! :D This is by far the most epic fps I've ever played. The last fight in the cabin, jesus christ! I alone killed 880 zombies. :P EDIT: I can imagine this being waay more enjoyable with people you know. So hit me up on steam whenever you want to run through a campaign. Alternatively join the group TIFourDead!
-
Damn, it seems they have upped the difficulty level by a lot. We're dying left and right in Death Toll on normal now. Could also be because my team is awful I guess... "hurrr we don't need to stay together" Fun as hell though!
-
Damn sweet. You play that [bleep] for me and you never ever stop.
-
I guess I just figured that the 10 man would be "casual" and 25 man would be the more difficult content. Nothing entirely wrong with the game being built around casual gameplay, but then again I think there is a large difference between hardcore gaming and just difficult encounters. Oh it wasn't directed at you personally, just a lot of people (mostly hardcore players, naturally) acts like WoW is now seriously ruined. A fact they seem to be too hard-headed to comprehend though, is that the guys of Nihilum/SK spent weeks in the beta clearing the raids, memorising all the fights, and basically perfecting the art of downing all these bosses. Then people are [bleep]ing that they're able to do them after 3 days. I mean, seriously? What the hell do they expect.

Considering most people here are 14-16, yeah I kind of doubt it (at best, two people will get drunk "because they brought the alcohol!" and the rest gets to watch). But hey, it's not like this thread was about organising a TIF meet at all. It seems to be a thread where people are supposed to come up with the most asinine and "hilarious" ideas for some sort of magical playparty in fairyland.
-
Haha oh yess wanna meet a bunch of internet strangers and drink lemonade - that wouldn't be awkward at all. The reason events like these sometimes turn out successful is because there's usually alcohol involved. Christ, that's usually the main reason people bother to show up in the first place.
-
I'm actually pleased about the news that Nihilum/SK have completed all the raid instances already. It means that even I have a chance to see all the raid content, which has always been out of the question. I don't really understand why it always has to be the most hardcore-no-lifers that get to see 3/4 of the content? I also don't see what's wrong with casual friendly; I'm more worried about the people taking a computer game this seriously. Also ding 71, and the Death Knight quest chain was absolutely badass.

I feel your pain, I won't be able to get my copy until Monday. D: It's funny, right as I was pressing submit I heard the post car making its round outside my house. Apparently they deliver three times a day now? For the record I don't think I've ever ripped up a package that fast in my life. Carton pieces and adhesive tape was flying all over the place. Post office, you own. You da man. PS: That sucks mate. ~~*I'll be finkin o' juu*~~
-
Post office... why this betrayal? :(
-
You're a big jerk. I need to wait ~12 more hours until the mail gets here, assuming the post office didn't mess up; in which case I have to wait another day.
-
? ;) 7x more zombies woo-woo!
-
Yeah the zombies have more health - and the tanks, haha jesus christ; they're virtually unstoppable. Especially when you don't have any room to kite them around. The thing I noticed the most though is that you do way more friendly fire damage. One misplaced shotgun shot and your teammate's down 50-70% health. And since you're more often than not on a team where people are unaware that: a) if you're standing in front of someone and zombies are coming, you crouch and B) you do not jump around like a crazy person in the close vicinity, let alone, in front of your teammates - if you necessarily feel like you have to, please do it over there ------> and use the pistol - alternatively go back to Halo. This goes the other way around too, though: don't try to blast zombies with the freakin shotgun when you're right behind another player, and be careful where you shoot when you're in an open area with zombies flooding from all directions. I highly doubt I'll be able to beat an entire "movie" on expert though. Since you don't automatically heal up to full health after making it into the safehouse, and there's no way to even survive the Subway level with only one medpack (if you say you did you're a dirty liar, or just incredibly lucky). Hell, we didn't even make it out of the subway tunnels today. :(
-
Jesus christ the jump between advanced and expert is huge. The people I played with were mainly newbies though. Still... damn.

Found out a friend of mine could have bought a Marshall JCM 900 40w for about $280 from another friend, but he didn't. His reason: the model doesn't fit his style of playing. Uggghhhh just change the tubes then or something! It's miles better than his current amp! I want to punch him in the goddamn throat fhrhdfhdsfhdfhdh
-
I'm pretty sure the ability to play online will disappear. Single player should still be there though. EDIT: Made the steam group public, so you can invite yourselves. Link.
-
Haha, what are they whining about exactly? The European forums and servers work just fine. :)
-
I don't know how many people here are getting this game, but I made a group called TIFourDead on Steam. Figured the since game is much more fun to play with people you're familiar with - and there isn't really any easy way to check who owns the game in the other TIF group - so might as well create a separate group for us. Post a link to your Steam profile if you want an invite!
