  1. The guy was seriously awesome. He would record answering machine messages for people when he had time. Watching movie trailers in cinemas won't be the same. [bleep] you 2008.
  2. Azvareth

    Your band?

does most of the instruments in his songs. He plays the piano, drums, bass and guitar in that one. Doesn't really show that well in that video, but he's a goddamn guitar wiz for his age.
  3. Each and every reality show on MTV. Also a vast majority of American sitcoms made after 2000 are rubbish.
  4. It's not that Donna Summer song from '79 is it? "On the radio". Only one I could think of.
  5. That was what I was implying by "wreck [cabbage] up". Their main focus has been to create a game where if you want to destroy something, you damn well should be able to. Also there will be co-op.
  6. Porcupine Tree - Collapse the Light Into Earth. Pretty much the perfect song when you feel like something relaxing.
  7. Lots of good bands coming to Sweden this fall. I'll be seeing: Paul Gilbert Black Label Society Motörhead (with Airbourne) Disturbed Black Stone Cherry (hopefully) I might see The Unholy Alliance Chapter III (Slayer, Trivium, Mastodon, Amon Amarth) if any of my friends feel like going.
  8. This game will be sweet. I mean, taking over a helicopter by use of the grappling hook, and just wreck [cabbage] up is seriously cool. I also like the fact that you get told what to do, but not how to do it. Just "kill that guy", but how you do it is up to you. Whether you sneak in under guise of one of his men to take him out, or simply order a carpet bombing on him. Tons of replayability. The game will also feature over 130 vehicles, including tanks, monster trucks, motorcycles, choppers, boats. Sweet!
  9. Your talk of "most of them aren't mature enough to handle real metal" makes me inclined to ignore your posts henceforth. Forum psychologists are the best. Nice ninja edit: I wouldn't know. Haven't been to one in over 10 years. As for the other quote, I apologise. In my defense it's past 4 AM and I simply skimmed over your post.
  10. Taken from the OP: Also, as a sidenote, both Disturbed and SoAD seriously borderlines on nu metal. You're not as "refined" as you try so very hard to make yourself out to be, Mlbfan. What? Stop trying to analyse this like it's some sort of mental illness. You're ridiculous. I know people well over 20 that are big fans of Slipknot, they're not "going through a stage" in their lives, they just like the goddamn music. What's so hard to grasp?
  11. What is there to explain or even discuss exactly? They obviously like the way the music sounds; the way it makes them feel, etc., for the same reason you like the type of music you listen to. Different people have different taste. Who are you to question them? And we all know Mlbfan didn't create this thread to consider and evaluate other peoples' ideas and opinions. I mean, come on.
  12. Hey guys, can you explain why you think [genre] is even remotely listenable? I mean, I used to like it when I was a little kid, but now that I am much older and wiser (I'm 16 lol) coupled with my now totally refined taste in music (Disturbed and SoAD are AWESOME!) I can honestly not understand how someone can like this stuff. It is now your duty to explain this phenomenon to me. PS: NO FLAMING (I get butthurt!)
  13. Yes. Protip: you don't appear either smart or edgy with your one-word replies. They make you sound like a little child. But let's face it, Mlbfan, you are too dumb to coherently explain this theory of yours, that it somehow makes someone less of a fan if they got into a band through the Guitar Hero games. So why bother, right? You are just too bloody dumb.
  14. If you like CSI you might like Cold Case and Criminal Minds. I'm not a fan of CSI myself, but I think those two are great.
  15. It'd take me a few beers before I'd freely admit to liking Evanescence's "My Immortal" (the one with guitar solo)... actually, the entire Broken album is pretty good. Furthermore I still like a few of the older Within Temptation, Nightwish and Epica songs. I also think Killswitch Engage is a fantastic band, and Disturbed are also pretty damn good (seen them live once, will again in October).
  16. I liked The Office (US version) and Life a lot. I'm sure you've watched shows like Prisonbreak, but if not, you should. The Sarah Connor Chronicles is watchable too. EDIT: how could I forget, silly me. Check out Blackadder... 2 and 3 are the best. The 4th one has the best, nay, make that brilliant ending.
  17. Not really a "near death experience", but it could've ended pretty bad. Me and my dad were on our way home from my grandma (4hr drive), and we driving on the highway at around 120km/h. You know where two separate lanes merge together? We were close to one of those, when suddenly out of nowhere a 18-wheeler turns up on the right side. Apparently he decided he had precedence in that situation because he was driving faster than us. Luckily my dad reacted fast and stepped on the brake, so we only ended up with a trashed side mirror (the side I was sitting on) and some nasty scratches on the door. Could've been worse off though.
  18. Currently going to school, studying Network Systems. Still not sure if it's for me. I might eventually drop out later and study to become a Studio Engineer or something along those lines, since I find that sort of stuff several times more interesting. I also work extra as a moderator in an online game, where I honestly make crazy good money for the amount of actual work that I do.
  19. Have you ever seen the rain. The audience seemed to like it because they made us play it twice.
  20. Fogerty's pretty awesome. We actually played a Creedence song at our gig yesterday.
  21. I shall partake in playing a gig next Friday. Woop!
  22. Judas Priest - . Gets my attention (and wakes me up if necessary).
  23. This person is currently spamming me with reports, probably 100+ per user. It's frustrating as hell because I have to go through each and every one manually. I want to do unspeakable things to this person right now.
  24. You troll worse than Italians wage war.
