  1. I played the beta and it didn't impress me at all really. It has pretty graphics yeah, but it just felt like generic-MMORPG #14356. It was also rather glitchy and I didn't like the animations nor the models very much. It could be better now though. I'd spend my money on WoW instead.
  2. I've read the Belgariad series and a few from the Mallorean. It was my first encounter with fantasy literature, and since I've mostly stayed with that sort of literature ever since, I'd say they are good books and definitely worth getting into. I was around 11-13 years old at the time, so it's quite hard to say if I would still like them if I tried reading them now. I think I would though... they're not "childish" in any way I can remember. I'd say go for it. I plan on finishing all the Eddings books one day.
  3. This. There's just no way in hell I'm going to get past those two songs. Any tips?
  4. I kind of thought we would get a bit more than a, "they're a band" as a reply. Seriously, most people who are somewhat into music can do this easily...
  5. HEY GUYS I KISSED A GIRL!!! DISCUSS̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¾Ãââ
  6. Oh, so because I think your countless of melodramatic and inane ramblings about "emos" are getting old, I'm a git? How old are you again? I can only hope that you one day realise that all of this "clique" crap you seem to be so obsessed over is just shallow and stupid.
  7. How could this possibly have sounded like a good idea in your head? Also have you ever made a post that isn't about the following: emos, people bashing emos, yourself, how you dress, AND OH GOD WILL PEOPLE STOP MAKING FUN OF EMOS ITS SO UNFAIR!!! You're an annoying person and you seem to overreact on the smallest of things. Stop doing that.
  8. Copy-paste: - Money - Rock Encyclopedia (over 1500 pages...!) - The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins - T-shirt - Sweater - Boss eau de toilette - A neat new bag (the kind you wear around your neck) - A big box of chocolate-covered raisins from a special lady-friend. - A 'Chocolate Orange' from my sister's bf. They're very common in England apparently. Also delicious. My sister got a MacBook from him. :| All in all it was a good christmas. I hardly wanted anything this year since I got a pretty much everything I wanted on my birthday, which was a month ago. I also think I've gained like 5 extra kg from all the food.
  9. We celebrate it on the 24th. 10. Beat me to it. I was thinking about making a thread like this. :P I just learned the solo in Dancing In The Moonlight by Thin Lizzy. In my opinion, it's the only part of that song worth learning. The rest is quite boring. I also learned to play And The Bands Played On by Saxon a while ago. It's a blast to play. As for a favorite song... it'd probably have to be Rock Bottom by UFO, simply because it's probably the best riff and solo ever made, or Emerald by Thin Lizzy.
  11. Ibanez SZ320 And a Yamaha acoustic... I forget the model.
  12. My parents aren't married and I like to think I turned out fine.
  13. .... Wait, what? :o Who says this? Is this the general consensus people have? I've never heard this before, that thinner equals better... shreddage. I tried out this Ibanez RG in a store once that had a really thin neck, and I could barely play it. It just felt completely off and wrong.
  14. Yeah, my brother/I has/have one and they're really good. I definitely recommend it. I'm not getting anything really new, but Azvareth isn't that guitar going to slide off your legs when you play it sitting down just like the Flying V? Just curious. Nah, in the middle of it, it's shaped like a /\, so you just need to have your thigh placed in the middle there. Alternatively, and this applies to Vs as well, you pin down the bottom "wing" with your thigh. It takes some getting used to, but it does work. e: there's nothing wrong with standing up and play either.
  15. Yeah, I agree that the wah leaves plenty for the imagination. That's why I tend to use my Crybaby Wah-pedal for that sort of stuff. Also that guitar looks brilliant, Lateralus. That name doesn't ring a bell though.
  16. Gary Moore? He's the only "being" I can think of that is (in a sense) supernatural and still actually exists.
  17. As long as it isn't more scripted crap. Also, I've kept this thing saved for an occasion such as this, it's from a former employee at 3DR and he was answering questions on a forum I use: Don't we all, wieder? Don't we all... Also, always bet on Duke.
