Imo the horns/tattoos shouldn't be this rare. I can understand making expensive items very rare, but not esthetic items that cannot be obtained by any other method.
-
Those horns and tattoos look like they're very hard to get. What a frustrating way to add content, having to rely on dumb luck to get new items.

A mod on the rsof implied that there would be information about the upcoming armour graphical update in the next BTS. [qfc]16-17-931-63557331[/qfc] pages 10-11

Eh good thing it ended. If gold farmers had cracked the way to get the free trial, they could have churned out a bunch of accounts and start using them to pick up 2nds or do any other activity that needs no stats, using their free 2 week trial. And then when the trial is over, they would have just churned up a new character to replace it. Basically free members.

15-February-2012: The Rio Carnival Bring On The Dancers!

Pretty sure they never said anything like that. Hmm I vaguely remember them saying that a long time ago. -
Go to a dg world and try to join a s/l occ, normally those last like 30 mins, probably the best you'll get outside of joining a clan or keying yourself.

So, I've never played a video game before...

You're probably best off staying away from videogames in general. When you start you can't stop. ;) -
It's 1000/h when starting with clean herbs. At bxp weekend your herbs should already be all in water vials. The part where you put the herb in the water vial gives no xp, only the unf -> 2nd part does. Last bxp weekend what happened with prices is that when bxp was announced 2 weeks in advance prices skyrocketed for a few hours, then went down slowly back to normal price. If it follows the same pattern the smart thing to do would be to buy supplies beforehand, sell them 1-3 hours after bxp weekend is announced in order to capitalize on the panic, and then when people realize they have plenty of the time the price goes back down and you buy all your supplies again(this time for real use). There's no guarantee the same thing will happen next weekend though, and there's no saying just how little or how much in advance it will be announced, try at your own risk.

It's very easy to calculate. Eg. You're hesiting between sup att and sup str for your first half hour. You can expect to make 1000 pots in half an hour. Sup att cost 15gp/xp and yield 100xp. So at a cost of 1.5m you get 270k xp. With the multiplication taken in account it ends up costing 5.5gp/xp. Sup att cost 17gp/xp and yield 125xp. So at a cost of 2.125m you get 337.5k xp. With the multiplication taken in account it ends ip costing 6.3gp/xp. So for a mere 0.8gp/xp more you get 67500 more xp in that half hour, concluding that sup str is better. Calculate this for every half hour to have a detailed plan. If you can't be bothered calculating then generally it's best to use high xp potions in the first hours. Speed is important because you want to get to making your extremes asap as they have high xp that multiplies nicely with a multiplication counter that is still high.

LOL. That's a typical comically dumb jagex reply for you.

14-Feb-2012 - TzHaar Quest, Minigame and Graphical Rework

The cape is so ugly I don't even want it. I'll probably wait until comp cape to get it. -
Not possible anymore as jagex has made it now that the person who did the most damage does get the drop for the first 30 seconds. They can still kick him, though, which was a major concern since all the way back when. Really? That's awesome, I'm quite relieved lol. I'm not too worried about being kicked because I'm certain I can delete a bound item and bind the hex before they have enough time to realize I got a hex and get the vote through.

I would get the outfit, but it doesn't look good enough to warrant the amount of time it takes. I personally would just go for constructor's outfit, pharaoh's outfit or hybrid armour for a similar look.

Being kinda of a fashionista (o_O) I drop to relleka often to change my character's boot style/colour, and there I always see the same bots with names made up of random letters and numbers, running back between an npc and a boat, I'm not quite sure what they're doing but I think they're picking snape grass or something. They don't even bother to hop worlds, just the same bots every day at the same world.
-
Usually what happens with soulgazers is I kill it while other randoms stand under it trying to snipe the drop. There's no way to avoid jerks when soulgazers are concerned. I'm somewhat worried that when a soulgazer does end up dropping something it will be stolen from me.
-
As much as I hate randoms, it looks like they're still effective. I see some of the color bots stuck in there every once in a while.

Too many pointless tasks.

Since recruiting budgets aren't limitless, there's an opportunity cost involved every time they hire someone to work on graphics or game content. It's possible that whichever team is in charge of fixing these issues is undermanned or is made up of inexperienced/incompetent lowly paid employees. It doesn't make any sense to say "It's different teams so it's not Jagex's fault" when Jagex is in full control of just how many people they are hiring to put in each team, and whether or not they are willing to spend the money to acquire skilled employees.

I went to check out if there was people at trouble brewing, and when I arrived some dude and two girls were having a bizarre argument. I blacked out the names to protect the otherwise instantly destroyed reputation of the participants. Guaranteed lulz Green = guy Orange + yellow = girls Black = bystanders

If they wanted to pursue the whole entertainment route, there's a lot of fun stuff they could do. For instance, instead of banning people, putting them in a prison of sorts where they have to perform menial tasks for a few hundreds hours in order to get out. Of course players would be able to visit the prison and throw tomatoes. They could also go the gladiator route, make banned accounts fight each other in a tournament of sorts, and the winner of the tournament gets to walk free while the losers get back to prison. They could create huge drop parties where all the items from the banned accounts' banks fall from the sky for everyone to pick up, with the online banned players in attendance of course, in suspended cages. They could create a reception mansion of sorts where banned players are forced to dance, serve drinks, polish your dragon boots and such, failure to perform a task within x seconds meaning perm ban. The possibilities are endless and rather appealing.

I don't think the fire cape really deserves to look that epic considering basically any newb or pure can get it. But I wouldn't mind if they made a new, harder Jad-like monster that gave some sort of improved fire cape when you beat it. And yeah, I read your arguments about this point exactly but I just don't agree, it may have been an epic cape at the time but not anymore.

If you have an okay cash pile, you could make at least 1m-ish an hour flipping.

RS has always been slow. I used to think it was because of my old comp, but then I got a new comp and there is still quite a bit of lag. Even on my old comp I could play games that were much more graphically demanding than RS and it would play smoothly because those games were just better designed I guess, had better servers or whatnot.

I wouldn't mind a new skill, as long as it doesn't come out for say, the next 6 months. I wanna get the chance to obtain & enjoy max cape before getting piled with more grind. There's an archeology skill suggestion thread that's been lying around for years on here, jagex should take a look at it when making the next skill.

Man I wish I could play it. But these days it's a struggle to find enough people to even start a game.
