I've always liked that in RS you can effectively train solo without going through the trouble of creating parties and constantly having to manage and maintain a certain level/number of people ratio, recruiting when somebody leaves, etc. A party system could be fun, but it'd depend on how it is implemented. Most games do it wrong and it's a pain.

I can see duo slayer being used when you meet a random person on a shit task and you two decide to team up for that one task. Actually coordinating your play time with a friend is pretty arduous. If they made it so that you both need to get the task at the slayer master at the same time then I see the usefulness and opportunities to use this go way down.

They physically ship it to you instead of emailing you the code which is stupid, but if you don't mind wasting money on shipping that might work. Are you sure that works? The article does explicitly state that you have to go in-store to buy one. But unless the cards that give you the skull are different to the standard 90 day ones I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Ah yeah I didn't notice that. I guess that wouldn't work then. That's too bad, it's like they're deliberating trying to screw over people from other countries.

Why by all means prove to us that Jagex is using the money responsibly. You're the one who is claiming you know how the money is being used, the burden of proof lies on you. Unlike you I don't delude myself into thinking I know what's going on behind the scenes. Only Jagex employees know. I will remain skeptical until I see proof. So go ahead and prove away.

Please stop whining. I'm not trying to be mean. The company only does this because a lot of years have gone by with item concepts players thought would be cool, but would never legitimately fit the lore and game world. Jagex also has to grow in size and generate money to pay its employees to make the game grow and these three avenues are great ways to help push their game out there. The best way to introduce them would have been through these methods. Look at the majority of the loyalty, sof and vanity items... Jagex has even I one of their posts or older video blogs stated that was the case. Heh for all you know the money is going directly into the pockets of some fat cats. Blindly believing Jagex is only using it to better the game is naive indeed.

Prob a future SoF or game card vanity item. Remember the days when we didn't actually have to pay $ to get cool-looking items? >.>

Too bad this game doesn't have guns, Dante-style handgun + sword that would be epic. Dual crossbows looks good but doesn't make any sense. How are you supposed to wind it up when your other hand is also holding one.

If the server you were on crashed then sometimes you can't log in for like 1 hour or so.

I've got a silverstone PSU it works good and is very quiet. There are lots of good PSUs but that make a shitload of noise so I'd recommend looking at the reviews and picking someone quiet as well. Although it's pointless if the rest of your build is noisy. 500GB HHD is very small. I'd get a 1TB at the very least. Remember that HHDs get slower as they fill up, you should always have more space than you're going to use. Personally I'd go for at least 2TB, they fill up fast. SSD is a luxury, if money is an issue don't bother. But if you do get one get atleast 120GB, anything less and you hardly have any space left after putting OS.

Jag is trying to slowly condition us to microtransactions. Their goal is probably to introduce a full-fledge cash shop eventually. Some people have already accepted the SoF and are even defending it. Some of the arguments I'm reading are pretty much the same stuff I've heard people on F2P games say to justify spending thousands a month buying power-ups. Let's hope RS doesn't get to that point.

Jumping spiders Normal spiders are bleh. But jumping spiders are awesome. They turn around and look at you with curiosity. I'm not sure how smart they are but they're pretty cool. Also they don't make annoying webs like the other spiders. In same vein, bumble-bees. How cool are these fat guys? Sometimes I pet them while they're busy sucking nectar, they're pretty soft. If you do it carefully they never sting.

Stuff like phats, santas and masks look good.The fish mask has 0 going for it. Rares like pumpkin and easter egg are bought by rich people that want something stable to invest in. I'm not sure the fish mask qualifies as a safe investment. If we think back to the ornate katana jagex had said it was a one-time thing but they ended up releasing it again and putting a nearly identical one on the sof. If they brought back the fish mask for whatever reason, your entire investment would be ruined.
