  1. Hmm I started somewhere in 2002 so sometime next year I should be able to get the 10 years cape..
  2. I was wondering why the link didn't work until I realized this is 5 years old
  3. I am extremely jealous of people that bought tons of RoWs for 10k and were able to septuple their banks. ;)
  4. I watch a lot of American TV shows and it becomes annoying overtime how everybody feels the need to point out that something is American. Even the Scots aren't this bad. Thankfully I've grown mostly immune to the annoyance. Oh look, I'm eating this ALL-AMERICAN pizza with my PROUD AMERICAN fingers! This pizza was made in AMERICA! AMERICA is the BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! The BEST pizza in the world! Oh GOD I love this FREEDOM-LOVING 100% PURE AMERICAN pizza! Did You Know That Pizza Was Invented In AMERICA?! Oh my GOD BLESS AMERICA! IN AMERICA! I really wouldn't call it patriotism at this point. It's masturbation. I guess that's one of your quirks.
  5. 89 -> 90 farm 85 -> 96 herb Most of the way from 98 to 99 fish Totalled to about 8M XP and 40-50ish hours.
  6. I like the idea of the gloves better but they don't give enough XP and don't work on the skills that matter. I think their concept was based on the gloves being the equivalent of a 10 hours bonus XP weekend. However instead of basing the amount of XP on what a high level would get in 10 hours, they gave us the equivalent of a noob's 10 hours. If I'm going to be given noob XP gloves, I'd rather take the weekend. And then of course the bonus should apply to all skills, not just combat ones.
  7. Don't bother posting if you're not going to read his message. He has membership for 8-9 more months and says he might come back later. If he wanted to quit outright he wouldn't have asked the question to begin with.
  8. I knew some girls that played as male characters in order to avoid the unwanted attention.
  9. Bring some claws in your inv, a few barrage runes, a pray pot. When people show up, equip your claws and put protect item on, barrage them a couple of times, spec them. They might not expect that at all and actually die, in which case you loot them(be wary of stuff that protects over claws lol) and hop before they come back with a vengeance. If you die you lose nothing except your food and a few runes, and you foil their plan at juicing free food out of you since you damaged them. That's what I'd do anyway, with the stats in your sig you can't do that though.
  10. Break it down into smaller goals, first go for 80, then 85, and if you can do it then aim for 99. If you try going for 99 immediately you'll probably crash and burn. When you can fish them, rocktails are nice, 95-98 got me about 10m. I don't understand why people would bother doing something as tedious as barb fishing just for a tiny bit more xp.
  11. Buy a rare, lend it for 24 hours everyday, that's a free daily 400-800k. Check up on MTK. Do some torstol herb runs with jujus. Flip your money. Max out your assist everyday. Find your weekly penguins and do your weekly tears. Even with very little playtime you can make lots of cash and xp.
  12. I spent 120m-ish on herb. Hello 96 herby. Buh bye brown spice. Lol :P
  13. If I was in your position, I would dg until I had the scroll of life and cleansing. Then I would farm herbs and make unf pots for money. Unf pots with the scroll is 1.5-3m/h, that's the best money you'll be able to make with those lvls. Then the rest of the time do whatever you want.
  14. I bought some iron and coal just after the update, sold for almost double what I paid
  15. The seeds you get hunting common jadinkos will be useful later when you decide to get farming jujus. For that reason alone they're worth training over any other alternatives.
  16. It's written beggar in all countries. The word "begger" is incorrect.
  17. You can try making unf pots with the scroll of cleansing, it's 1-3m an hour. I played with it a bit, and it's usually around 1.5m-2m/h. If you're unlucky and the market shifts before you sell then you're looking at 1m/h or less. Sometimes the market is really good and you can get 3-4m/h however it lasts only for a few minutes before the market shifts so buy/sell as you go along until you see the market has readjusted. But long-term you will benefit more from something that raises your stats. Slayer. Armoured zombies. Hell you could do frosts, I imagine it's a pain to have to bank with a tort and get your spot stolen, but it's still money and xp. And other stuff I don't remember.
  18. I started at lv20 on w117, now lv79. I had heard a lot of bad things about the skill before I tried so I was apprehensive, but in the end it's not that bad. Most people seem to hate training on w117 but I don't mind it too much. As long as you don't take it too seriously, steer clear from the drama and stay positive you will have a good time.
  19. People don't realize how far the game has come. No grand exchange. No lending system. No assist system. The walking backwards bug. No good bosses. No summoning and so on. The people on this game are ridiculously nostalgic. I'd rather go forward than backwards.
  20. I don't call people noobs but for me a noob is somebody that doesn't know what they're doing.
  21. I think originally 99s were meant to be something near impossible that only the most devoted players would ever get. Not something that you would aim for, just something that would happen because you need a cap at some point. In RSC most people including myself never saw themselves getting a 99, ever, the exp rates were far too low. Not to mention people didn't really want 99s, if you had one people would be impressed but say it was a waste of time. People wanted rares, that's about it. But when they added skill capes then the whole attitude changed. Now 99s didn't just happen because you played a lot, now people aimed for them. Jagex probably didn't really foresee that people would start playing a lot more just to get the capes, and that the market would be forever screwed up. Or maybe they're geniuses and they knew from the get go it would make people spend a lot more time, and thus they'd get more money.
  22. The best system would allow players to choose which 3 items they keep at death, this would allow people to keep untradables like chaotics over other items. Should the player not choose which 3 items they keep, then the system should be based on GE value not high alch value which really is a meaningless arbitrary value that has no logical basis whatsoever.
  23. You could get a scroll of cleansing and make unf pots. That gives you anywhere between 1-3m/hour depending on how good the market is at any given time. The downside is that you get no xp whatsoever.
