  1. This game has a big learning curve. When I started playing I was young and clueless, but even then I never considered scamming people. Some people's first instinct is to scam/lure/deceive other people, I guess they just have got that kind of opportunistic personality. If you look at small kids in a daycare you notice how each child has their own antics and way to go about things. I was probably the kid drawing a picture, and they were the kids stealing your toys. Really I don't think trying to "educate" scammers will change anything, at the end of the day they will just fall back to their natural leech selves.
  2. Phising emails, kicking out immigrants since 2001.
  3. Recycling bin Don't be a pack rat. Buy or gather materials that are worth transforming into an art project, sticky coke bottles is not one of those.
  4. I saw a Tipiter the other day, but he's an [wagon] so I didn't HYT him. Considering the amount of [wagon] on this site, I suppose statistically speaking this isn't surprising.
  5. Not the champion's challenge, that would just end up alienating people that have all the reqs but have other things to do than go around killing stuff like imps and banshees for hundreds of hours.
  6. You might want to go on w117 or 148 for a bit and learn the ropes. I wouldn't recommend doing floors lower than ~35 as larges on those worlds though, with a bad team it could take up to 2 hours. Floors above 40 take somewhere between 40 mins and an hour, so that's a little better. Well except thunderous floors, that can be disastrous with a team of randoms. Either way, go get some experience.
  7. Go main page -> search settings -> enable query prediction
  8. Somewhere in w117 Keyer: Bob, do this room Bob is the only one with the skill level for the puzzle Bob: lolwut wats this room Barry: howd you get to 82 dg without knowing how to do this... Bob: i used tear lamps n pengs lolol Keyer: useless son of a noob Insert 10 minutes wasted explaining how to do the puzzle True story.
  9. Probably because it's brown and plain, fashionistas won't wear it :P
  10. Thanks for the heads up. I got rid of my coins and put my wealth in items instead.
  11. I think that Jagex really wants to ban bots, but their detection systems fail and they genuinely can't tell the difference between a player and a bot most of the time.
  12. At this point a cash shop selling tradable items wouldn't be that bad of an idea. There isn't any fairness anyway. Right now if people want to buy gp, they can just go and spend their money on any website that sells it. That money ends up in the pockets of botters and account hijackers. If Jagex opens up a cash shop that sells the usual items: xp boosts, costumes, power boosts, pets, etc, which can then be sold in-game for money, it legitimises RWT. People will choose to do this over buying black market because no risk is involved. All the money that would otherwise end up in the pockets of rule-breakers would end up in the pockets of Jagex. Jagex who could then use that money to better the game and give us better updates. You can't stop rich people from buying their way into things, but you can choose where the money ends up.
  13. I hate skills that combine - low XP hour - high attention - lots of clicking - repetitive So for me 99 RC followed by 99 agility are the worst.
  14. I'd prefer it if they just allowed botting outright instead of being in some sort of in-between. Either you ban bots and everyone plays fairly, or you allow bots and everybody bots. Either way, there's a sense of fairness that everybody is on the same page.
  15. I farmed, slayed, and did a bit of flipping. Kinda just happens, don't try too hard.
  16. The trim is terrible. I'll laugh if they make another poll just like this one for the 10 yrs cape and that one ends up with the ugly trim too.
  17. People bot because to gain xp in most skills you must do boring and mindless repetitive tasks. Tasks that are suited for robots, not humans. Dg is a step in the right direction, except the whole you must be in a team to get decent xp thing. If skills were grindable in a way that would challenge your mind (puzzles), reflexes (clicking skills? I guess), or were unpredictable that would already be a little better. The best way to eliminate botting is to make people not want to bot, ergo make grinding interesting. But to answer the question, capchas and questions that require a brain like was said.
  18. Can I get a run-through of the weaknesses of the common dg monsters, eg. shades weak to stab, zombies weak to slash, etc?
  19. They could "discover" a whole new lineage of cheese dragons, created by a mad French mage. You would have the mozzarella dragons, the camembert dragons, the parmesan dragons, the brie dragons, and the fearsome besse bleu dragons. They would of course drop pieces of cheese armour with the special ability of reducing the opponents' stats through bad smell.
  20. I don't see the point of 120 skills when they can't even release decent content for the 90-99 portion of the skills. Raising it to 120 would basically just increase the amount of grind without adding any substance to the skills.
  21. I liked A2, majority liked A2. I liked B2, majority liked B3. I liked C4, majority liked C4. I liked D1, majority liked D1. I liked E1, majority liked E3. So unless the majority shifts, I guess I'm getting... 3/5, 60% what I want. Meh, not bad. But the E3 border is so fugly.
