You actually do eat windex? o__O

LOl .__. Well I have none of that. I guess the pragmatic thing to do would be to use MTK, planting herbs, bork, and all that eh? Hm, I'll try

Firemaking definitively needs some updates. How many years do you think it'll take before jagex actually does it? >__> -
Slayer tasks and clue scrolls are just not the same kind of thing. The whole point slayer masters don't give you, like dark beasts, is that you gotta have the level the kill them otherwise no point in the whole thing lol Anyway, that's how the game works, you need quests to do scrolls.

It varies wildly. Sometimes I stop the games for months, and sometimes I play a lot. I don't really play hardcore, my levels just stacked up over the years since I've been playing for so long (since end 2001). But I post way to much on forums though lol, I just like it.

On average: how many tasks do you do in a day?

I don't think even jagex knows what they're going to do with the skill. And lighting stuff at lvl 1 was much more exciting(for me anyway...) since you failed, you thought "OMgz, I can't wait till I fail less!". But then when you stop failing nothing fun happens -

Jagex calls WoW players to play RS? ~picy for proof
highlanders replied to fubol's topic in General Discussion
I'm getting really bored of all those WoW threads. Can't you people spend a single day without feeling the need to talk about WoW like they're your arch enemies? WoW doesn't care about RS, RS doesn't care about WoW. You guys could flame mabinogi, age of conan, lineage 2, guild wars, or god knows which mmorpg you perceive as a threat. But you'd actually have to know anything about mmorpgs to do that, so let's just blame everything on the big popular guy yeah? It's just a way to advertise. That doesn't suddenly transform them into big evil monsters. If the tag had been "Banana split" would you have made a thread about it? Probably not. But since it's WoW, let's just bash it along the way! ¬___¬ -
[hide=] It also costs over twice as much, and you look like an idiot because instead of using Dharok's Helm you're using a Guthan Helm, negating a good set effect just for a misguided sense of fashion  . It's one of the most hilarious paradoxes I keep running into. Self proclaimed elitists suggest we use something more expensive, and less effective, instead of going for the better deal of cheap armor with the best defense stats in the game, which is what an intuitive elitist would normally do. Thereby wasting time, money, and HP catering to the bigoted standards of other players  .How can you claim to be so experienced, and yet not have the slightest idea of what you're implicating by suggesting we use this armor combination. That, oh wise one, is the definition of "noob". But I don't mean to be offensive, on the contrary, you have my deepest thank you helping to spread such stigmas, it makes Torags just that much more original and helps to keep my win/lose ratio at the Duel Arena in a more than acceptable percentage. And to all who have supported and shared constructive feedback, thanks for posting I'm glad to see that most everyone here agrees with me. : [/hide] At first you came off as the poor victim of people who don't like torags. And now you're the one that ridiculizing somebody else for wearing armour you don't approve of. Torag plate = guthan plate = dharok plate Torag legs = dharok legs ~ verac skirt All these are the same defence(except verac), you can mix and match them without losing any efficiency. As a side note, guthan helm's has better defence stats than dharok's, it's a fine choice if you don't mind paying 1m more instead of buying torag's. Other side note, you actually need the dharok axe for the set effect to work, not just the armour, and dharoking is useful only in certain situations. Last side note, he called torag's armour nooby(my heart is bleeding...) and you retaliated with calling him a noob. Sorry but you're the bad guy now, no more free cookies.

So are all the other items I mentioned. Wether you put your money in a phat or in a skill cape or other rare items doesn't make a difference. Money is money, and it shows that you have money, pretty much. Somebody buying a phat is not any smarter that somebody that buy other items, heh pretty much the contrary. A phat shows one thing foremost of all - "I care what other people think about me" "Omg look at me, I have the ultimate status symbol!". As opposed to somebody with a godsword that bought it because it's a great sword foremost of all, and a status symbol as added bonus. Two different main motivations. You're certainly not buying the hat for its usefulness  And why exactly the "new player" demographic be so wildly different than the one of current players that they'd all suddenly want phats? Nothing. Phats are dead, live with it.

What will happen when the next "mega item" comes out?
highlanders replied to Dazzuh's topic in General Discussion
Yep, it'll be junk traded if jagex fails to set it at the price it should start as - eg very high. -
No, people don't want partyhats anymore. Partyhat's time is over. People want bandos, godswords, DFS, 3rd age, armadyl, and skill capes. Partyhats are a pain to buy, a pain to re-sell, they look medium compared to other rare items, and they're useless.
-
Definitively, and it'd be great for people who worked hard for high levels, they could make a bit of money.
-
Guthan top + torag legs is smexier

I'm thinking that's ended up being tremple trekking. No it is not - they stated it's not. "where a new adventure is generated for you and your friends each time you go on it. Form an adventuring party and go on your own personal quest." It ignores that entire part of the statement... Nor is it Barbarian Assault. Is it my turn to state something obvious? That's why I said ended up being, they could have decided to drop that idea and settle with something more modest.

The Christmas Event 2008 Poll on RS Site
highlanders replied to Beethovens29's topic in General Discussion
I don't understand why people voted for a quest as holiday event, that's just boring. A team-event would have been a lot more fun. Pet reindeer or icicle sword is nice, all emotes are nice except hohoho and opening a present, that's just plain. -
Zaros would pop up and kill them all

Ya, a santa suit is just ... horrible.. -
That's jagex... They start stuff, but they don't finish it. Btw, what's with all the text? You could have summed that up in three sentences tops.

Years back, I used to get a ton of requests to be someones bf, and I accepted a couple to see howd they react. Most of them just say hi and chitchat a bit, but never talked to me again afterwards, even though they were on my list. One of them was very persistant, she had this romantic and very disney-worldish idea of a bf. She wanted us to take walks, she wanted me to bring her flowers, she wanted me to come see her whenever she wanted even if I was busy, she also wanted gifts but that didn't seem to be her main motivation. Weird times...
