Keep us informed whether or not in a month the hacker will use the transaction code to steal the account back. It's a bit odd to waste 5 $, or waste time finding a stolen credit card number, just to steal a lvl 80 account... Who knows, maybe he's nice for real.

From your level, definitively. Thieving is insanely quick xp, in the likes of cooking/fletching except you click a lot.
-
The people who keep F2P status just to look good are taking the game way too seriously. Nerds.

You can celebrate for whatever you want I suppose. Why the doubts? You want the party or not?

RS excels in some aspects, and is incredibly lacking in others. Fanboys have no discernment for either, because they love the game unconditionally. Same goes for haters, but you don't run into them often on tif. The MMORPG community is biased some, but do have some valid points about RS. A quick list of pros and cons: Pros Endless things to do, very vast content Good value for money Updated very frequently Accessible Good lifespan Good character customization Relaxing, good break from high intensity games Creative in some aspects Addicting... for a time Solid, no bugs, or glitches, or annoying mistakes left on the way Cons Poor graphics (including the updated ones) Awkward controls Community flooded with annoying idiots Bad music Overly strict rules Takes about 2 years of levelling to unlock the most interesting aspects of the game, before that the game is a dud Very grindy at high levels Poor PVP Poor immersion The combat system has nothing for it Nonexistant customer support Bottomline is, RS is not bad, but you definitively won't find the excitement of high intensity/ high graphical/ good music/ immersive/ intuitive MMORPG in it. It's good at what it does: cheap, fun, deep, and relaxing, but don't expect more.

As it is now, mining is an oversimplistic, mindless grind skill. The skill could used some more complexity. You seem to think updates = skill is easier. Jagex could introduce more interesting ways to level it, would still be as hard, but at least it would require more brains.

Does Rowling's success automatically makes ALL unpublished authors good? No, Rowling was an exception, obviously. What kind of logic is that? According to you we should all go buy books we know nothing of, based on the 1 out of 10 million chances that author will be the next Rowling. >.> Have fun wasting money, make sure not to leave out any piece of crap on the way.

:wall: mainly because i got a day mute for it but i dont do it if they just "say" it but when i see someone in middle of a crowded place say to his friend "just go look on tip.it" i report them. same with runehq, zybez, or anyother That's absurd. The rule was created to protect people from going onto doubtful websites. Obviously, tip.it, runehq, zybez and other known fansites are not dangerous. Yet you report people for it, possibly putting them in trouble, while they are innocent. Pfff...

Lol I didn't think it was possible to get flammed for that.

[hide=] Its quite obvious what the outside world is, and why that expression is used. Many gamers get carried away with their gaming habits, and lose sight of perspective. And in that loss of perspective, buying a book about their favourite mmorpgs actually sounds like a good idea. People would be ready to buy posters, t-shirts, teddy bears, and all sorts of ridiculous merchandise if they could. Talking seriously about buying a mmorpg book, from an author that has never published before, and an obvious stunt from Jagex to make more money, is an obvious sign of losing that perspective. Thus the nerdiness. Not that I'm explaining that for you, heh. Childish? Coming from someone using vulgar expressions like grow hair on your balls, heh, well idiots do often come as hypocrites as well, that's no surprise. You're assuming everyone who is going to buy the book has no life. [/hide] I just love how you ignore haft of the argument and splat out some random BS about how hard life is for nerds. Maybe we should invent a new name for them, a name that wont hurt their feelings? Boo-hoo. You buy a book, for the price of 4 months of membership, from an unpublished author nobody has ever heard of, an OBVIOUS stunt from Jagex to make extra money, and all that because the book is about a mmorpg you like. Thats nerdy for you right there, whether you like it or not, Mr Bleeding-heart. It even has a Zezima quote on it for Christ's sake. If you fail to see how it is nerdy, then you're incredibly, incredibly stupid.

The Good, The Bad, The Lending System
highlanders replied to Beethovens29's topic in General Discussion
*Half* And a scam could still happen here, the scammer will still get 50% lol. Is it my turn to say something obvious? You can get scammed, but it's the best it will get when trading with strangers. If the lender was planning on scamming from the start, you lose only 50% instead of 100%. If the lendee was planning on scamming, you still get haft of your money. It's not rocket science. -

Pay haft before the transaction, and haft after the transaction. -
Ah, how typical. You go off insulting people at random with no logical arguments whatsoever but of course I'm the jerk. Wow, you're pathetic.
-
Oh noes, they got ONE WORD WRONG!!!!! What are we going to do!!!!?!??!

This topic is freaking hilarious. Omali + eatrunearrow, now that's going to be funny. [hide=] This is such a typical, childish response i'd expect from most RSOF users, but not a Tifer... [/hide] Because you said so? Hmm, how compelling, but worthless, unfortunately for you. Sure, let's just do things that we hate doing, that makes a lot of sense. For masochists, anyway. Are you a masochist gin and tonic, eh? Pleasure from pain, maybe? But then it isn't really pain anymore if it doesn't hurt. Haha, I realize that's not your point but you make no argument apart from that random judgement, so we've got nothing to discuss except your questionable habits, you narb! Gold farmers are surprisingly trustworthy actually. Not that I'd know first hand, but that's what I heard. If they try to steal the account, most of the time the person has recoveries which makes it pointless. I bet they make lots more money from returning customers, who pay hundreds to get their characters grinded up.

I wouldn't call it enjoyment for the most part, more like attraction. Mmorpgs have elements that will hook all sorts of people. Some people like immersing into the roleplay of a game, some people like the feeling of pking other players, some people like achieving success into the game, some people want to talk and meet other people, the list goes on and on. Though there are times when the game is truly fun, it usually ends up being boring work for countless hours, but people keep playing because the elements of the game still attract them despite the fun being gone.

Discovering something the first time around is always the most interesting, but once it's discovered, it isn't really interesting anymore.

More Cave and Dungeons+Bosses?? (CLOSE: Again....)
highlanders replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Everyone wants different things. Some people want more quests, more skills, tweaking of the existing, new equipment, new combat systems, weather and days, and I guess some people want more caves and boss monsters. Can't please them all. Jagex has their own idea of what they want to do, and as usual they'll hear our opinion but won't really take it into account. After all, they removed the wilderness, staking, and merchanting, even if they knew people would massively disagree that didn't stop them. That was very bold of them, they still did it, same goes for what we think of everything else, our opinion doesn't matter to them. -
Look at the big picture, wannabe moderators are not the problem. Jagex is the one who made the rules. Jagex is the one misinterpreting. Jagex is the one approving these people's reports. There always are going to be kiss [wagon], that in itself is not a problem, the problem arises when the kiss [wagon] actually succeed.
-
If you don't like it, don't play it. It's not very dignified to come here and type all this nonsense. You don't know what you're arguing about. You say you want to go back to WoW, then do it, posting this on a RS fansite makes you look even more of an idiot. There are mmorpgs with far better combat systems and pvp than RS, stop hanging onto RS like a dead old goose already.
-
Well, maybe a quest with huge requirements. Usually, when something cool goes out, it's something you have to kill with combat. Would to nice to at least have one item that requires skills instead of combat.
-
This was found, the plate was also found in the cache. It's coming. This would have been a huge thing a couple of years ago, but now we have 3rd age for looks/minigames, and barrows/bandos for training, dragon armour doesn't really serve a purpose anymore.

Lol for a second I thought you were saying that you were cooking the ranarrs
-
That's because when it was introduced, it was not useful. -.- Took jagex a couple of updates to get it right.
