I'm the one trying to have a rational discussion here. But sure, run away from your own thread if that's what you like. Here's a summed up of the arguments against your point of view. -No insensitive to use it -Overly expensive -Risk of getting banned And even if it's being used, where is the problem? -Idiots lose their money -Some company goes into leaps of trouble for a couple of dollars -Nobody else is affected: some items are being moved around, but that is all Dig up a hole and bury your thread in it. ---- Yes it would be some sort of small-scale RWT. But the thing you cant seem to get your head wrapped around is the fact that even if it happens, it hurts no one. Let me break it down for you: 1) Idiot pays a couple of dollars irl 2) In-game, idiot gets item for no geepee fee How does it affect anyone at all? In the game, all that has happened is somebody got loaned an item for free. Thats all, nobody is suffering from it, except the idiot that wasted his money. That's what it means by "items are moving around, but that is all".

You make up a new one every time, incredible. First off, autoers? Autoers are gone for good now, how are they relevant in this at all? I was pointing out how your logic is flawed. If we go back before you went off subject, I clearly asked you how it is a problem, as it doesn't affect other players, and doesn't put the economy out of whack. Could be called "Off the books".

my essay: Why being a moderator is no big deal
highlanders replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
Nice read, puts things into perspective. With all the idiots making the hype about pmods, this is a breath of fresh air. -
I love you ignore my question(How would it be a problem?) and go on about how I'm an evil person who promotes gold farmers in sweatshops. You're contradicting yourself. According to this sentence's logic, for them to loan items for money is fine and dandy, after all item loans have worth!

Your whole thread is based on the assumption that it would be a big problem. In the wild chance that it does happen, large-scale, how is it a problem? If some people are lending around their god swords and some idiots are paying for it, it doesn't affect other players in any way. It's just like a service, but instead of paying geepees, you pay real money. The rest of the world is unaffected.

You typed a random premise with no arguments to base it. Everyone could say just about everything.

Who the hell would pay 20$ to have an AGS only for a day? That's 4 months of membership. I doubt people even reallly really desperate for attention would do this. Not to mention most of RS players don't even have a credit card to begin with, and have to ask mommy around for purchases. You could get it for cheap, even for free in-game, I see no point.

In some forums, when you quote somebody, you only quote *them*, not the people they have quoted. It would be nice if tif had this, atleast as an option. It's annoying to have to manually remove other people's quotes that are not relevant.
-
If you pay 2$, instead of 30k in-game, you basically just RWT bought 30k. You saved yourself 30k geepees off of your bank account, w00t. That's like 15k for 1 dollar too, LoL. It's like a tiny scale RWT, that's within the trade limit, and that is destined to have tif topics about it and waste lots of people's 5 minutes'.

Idea for new Summoning-related Skill
highlanders replied to zdavenz's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Here comes the hordes screaming "OMG no, shards are fine as they are. Summoning is hard a skill, it needs to stay hard!" The whole shard-buying thing was an arbitrary anti-inflation measure from Jagex, just like planking was, aswell as a poor attempt to make the skill "hard." It doesn't make the skill hard, it just wastes money. Look at prayer, it costs a lot, but that's because the bones are worth a lot. The skill could be completely free if you buried every single bone. That's what's good about it, you don't absolutely have to waste money on the way. For summoning shards, you don't have that. You can't say, train a skill very high, and craft yourself a nice pile of shards. That's a let down. You have to waste money, regardless of which method you take. Everything so far has been connected to other skills, it only makes sense that shards should be produced from a skill. Not from a whole new skill, but part of a skill. The shards would require materials to make, it wouldn't be free, it would still make summoning challenging, and at the same time it's a lot more interesting than just buying them from a shop. Edit: Made major edits so whatever somebody *if* quoted might be gone now -

I'd say we need 2 new melee ones. The Zaros godsword, and some sort of untradable ultimate weapon with high reqs like the fire cape, slightly better than GS but with no special attack. A ranged one, the crossbow version of the dark bow. Then some sort of magic staff, maybe the staff of armadyl or a modern equivalent. Then maybe jagex could stop adding pointless content and improve what's already there :-#

Meh, you were just unlucky. Wrong spot at the wrong time. Try at another spot for fun, and see what kind of reaction you get.

REMOVE ALL BUT 1- Another lazy cop out by the j4gez

The withdraw all but one option can be useful, in some situations. A 'lock' function would have been much more helpful. -
It's fairly easy to switch to French on your computer, you just have to switch to "French" in your Language bar (usually found in the Taskbar unless the user put it somewhere else) Though most people don't know how to do it because they never pay attention to the little things and therefore never learn about it. :shame: Wait, in French my username would be Maitre des Dragons... You're right it isn't as leet-sounding as before. :| What the hell are you talking about. My computer is already in french, because I'm french, jeez. SMS french is what *actual* french people call the equivalent of leetspeak. And trust me, french leetspeak is WAY WAY worse than the english's. It's just not funny how off topic you are, look up what SMS means next time >.>
-
The french version is going to be amazing :D I wonder what kind of community it will have... SMS french is horrible to read so I hope everybody there won't start typing like that French is the same everywhere, except for expressions, and putting expressions is completely optional(eg: they won't put any). Willow is saule you narb x.x Jeez...

The ads is the reason F2P is free. -
I turned it off, it saved it. I'm using the RS client.

Real world effects on Runescape economy
highlanders replied to No_99_Melee's topic in General Discussion
Bat masks are junk traded, the GE price doesn't reflect much of anything as you can't buy it there unless you're very lucky. -
Your marching to your death and throwing your life away Whats wrong with taking risks if thats the thing that you like? Its better to die young but to have done what you wanted to do than to live a normal safe life but be miserable all along because its not your thing.

Which Godsword is the Godsword for you?
highlanders replied to Da_Latios's topic in General Discussion
There's no point in asking myself the question, I'm never going to have the money, not even for a bandos. -
Google, pretty ordinary..

So you just let yourself be sucked in by the very marketing strategy you ranted about, which made everything fine and dandy? By your own logic, you just joined the Dark Side. Or rather, just got ensnared in the dark side's evil plan. The cookies r a lie!
