  1. Anything can be perceived as offensive. And a lot of people get innocently banned or black marked for stupid things that dont actual offend anybody. Jagex's current policy encourages whiners by enabling them to report others for just about anything. Reports should be considered invalid unless there are solid, clear, and precise reasons as to why something is offensive. If somebody makes racist, sexist, or highly offensive statements: report. Otherwise, players just need to learn how to use the ignore button, and deal with it. As of now, you could get banned for calling someone else a "poop", can you see how this enables whiny idiots? Basically means the idiot who was too stupid to deal with someone calling him a poop won - jagex enabled him. Offensive reports should basically only be for SERIOUS things. Quoting myself + some modifications.
  2. Screen shots are fun, just blurry the noob's name. I demand a screen shot!
  3. Like bored said, it's the affiliated website(sevengames.de) that's using Runescape to advertise itself. Anyway, I'm pretty sure german noobs are better than american noobs. Yeah, I'm racist like that.
  4. The reviews for the mosaic weren't so great. I saw a video of it, it's a bit bulky, and nothing we haven't seen before. The Zen though, is very good, it's mostly appraised for sound quality. If you want to see how the buttons work, etc, just type creative zen in youtube, there's a few interesting videos. Found this video looking quickly: http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/t ... 21075.html Correction: You're delusional.
  5. Lol, look at you sniper, kissing apple's [wagon]. Blow a bubble of air and make it pop, that's about the worth of your "arguments". Go on, keep living in your lalala world: Apple is the only company capable of making Mp3 players, and itunes is the best software ever forced upon you. See, we agree now. I'm going to keep buying my good Mp3s, and listen to good music, and you get to keep being stupid.
  6. 1) Is it possible to kill a revenant without any help? If so, what is most effective against it? Yes, use the highest weapon you can use, and wear green dragonhide(block their magic attacks), with the highest metal shield and helm you can wear. But killing revenants is pointless. They give poor drops and poor experience. 2) What is the easiest way to earn GPs in Runescape? In F2P, mining by far. At 85+ mining, it becomes very profitable. 3) What is the most strongest monster in Runescape? (F2P) Please state the Level and Hitpoints. 4) Can a low-levelled person defeat Elvarg? If so, what weapons/skills are needed? People have managed to do it with very low levels. Ideally, something like 30/30/30 in all melee stats.
  7. That's like saying the US voted for George Bush, so George Bush must be an intelligent man. Most people are stupid and jump on bandwagons. The Mp3 players I suggest have better battery life than ipods, better screens, better sound, better price, FM radio, that's all there is to know.
  8. You have a lot of choices available to you. There's a lot of good stuff being made with flash memory(2-16GB). http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/7 Cowon has smooth and "warm" sound. You can play with the settings and get all sorts of effects done to the sound. Great battery life: 60 hours. You can look through their products, most of them are good. http://www.iriver.com/product/p_detail.asp?pidx=82 Iriver is a pretty good company. Their best product is the Clix 2. Great sound, beautiful screen, overall very good. http://us.creative.com/products/welcome ... tegory=213 Creative has a lot of good products. Most notably the Zen, the Zen W, and the Zen X-Fi. All of their Mp3s have good sound but these three are best. The Zen X-Fi has a new sound technology in it, but you can only really see the difference with very good earphones. X-Fi has more of a "crisp" sound, say compared to Cowon who has more of a warmth to it. http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/zune ... efault.htm There's the microsoft Zune. It's good, but not better that some of the others I mention above. It's similar, and also very good. You can customize the back, get a picture or a message engraved, which is nice. http://www.sandisk.com/sansa/ Sansa has two notable good players: the clip and the fuze. Both are good, and very cheap for the quality you get. You won't get the same degree of "polish" as say another player mentioned above. But you get great quality if you're on a low budget. That's basically what's on the scene right now. Btw, these players sound better, work without Itunes, and do more than Ipods.
  9. Today it's muffin-making, who's with me?
  10. Grinding is a means to an end. You get something, then you have fun with it. You have to grind if you want to access the most interesting content of the game. But you also have to take the time to appreciate what you've unlocked. That's kind of the point. If you don't appreciate what you worked to get, then the grinding was pointless.
  11. The church says a lot of things. People say a lot of things too. But life is about what you do and what exists, not what you say. I can only tell you what I've experienced. People say a lot of bad things about the church. This year, my vacation was in Italy. I've seen Rome, and the vatican. You know, when you're there, walking in the streets of the vatican and visting St. Peter's Basilica, there's nothing evil about that place. In shops, they sell peace crosses, you can only get those in the vatican. You can buy some postcards and send them from the vatican, through their mail system. When you walk in the streets, there's a lot of italian ice cream stands. You know, small things. There's a lot of tourists, but everyone just calmy walks about, not the kind of crazy behaviour you'd think from a crowd that big. I used to imagine myself the vatican like some close-up place where a bunch of monks were plotting how they could enslave the mind of humanity. It's not like that at all when you go there for real. Italy is a christian country, 90% christian. But you have to understand italians interpret christianity very differently than americans do. For them, it's embedded into their culture itself. They wear crosses, they pray, family is very important to them. The male is very important in the culture, but they see themselves are protectors of women, not dominators or dictators. Christianity is not fair towards women, it's not, but you have to understand they mean it in a different way that what you could imagine. It's not: I'm a man, therefore I'm superior to you, so I get to do what I want. It's not the way they see things. It's in the lines of: As a man, I believe my role is to protect and provide for my family, and the women are the ones I protect. It's very macho. Their male pride rests on the fact that that is their duty. American men tend to believe that to be "macho" they have to become completely desensitized to their feelings. Italians don't do that at all. They're tough on the outside, but soft on the inside, pretty much. And they do give roses, write poems, hold doors, do long walks on the beach, and all these romantic gestures for a woman. Just like in movies, old fashioned romance lives in Italy. Revolutions came to italy aswell. Women are no longer confined to kitchens, and taking care of kids. They can do whatever they want. You're not going to meet any modern italian that's going to bring out a bible and tell you that because X or Y verse says this or that, that's the "truth". From what they've told me, most italians understand fully well that what the bible says is outdated, and can't be applied to this modern world. They are attached to their old fashioned values. They're not fanatics ready to believe everything the bible says. Of course, that's my opinion, but that's what I've honestly understand from my trip to Italy. I thought some of you would be interested to know what christianity is like in its country of origin. Italy is where christianity is born after all, where all of this has started from. Christinity sounds awful in america. All the crazy things we hear about it. I think that in many ways more than one, america has perversed christianity and twisted into a complete different religion than what it was at the beginning. America takes the bible and takes it all for cash - even if a lot of it makes no sense whatsoever. God didn't write the bible, men did. Italians understand this, why can't americans?
  12. Wikipedia was never reliable. There are a lot of highly opinionated articles, stating opinions as facts. "He who controls the past, controls the future". Who are those administrators behind the scenes who get to decide which opinions go, and which ones get to stay? It's alright if you want to look up something quickly to get an overall view. As long as you don't take what you read for cash. Don't think "What I read is the truth", think "What I read is someone's opinion on this". If you want to get real information, look for unique ways, don't take the path everybody else is taking because that path is the path of BS.
  13. Gilles Duceppe or Jack Layton. Both very respectable men, though neither have any real chances of winning. The green party has a valid cause, but they're incapable of running the country. It boils down to Dion versus Harper. Dion has nothing going for him - he lacks charisma - which is vital in any campaign. He looks shaky, he doesn't show the kind of confidence you would want in a leader. For those of you who remember when the leader of the liberal party was elected: it was Stéphane Dion versus Michael Ignatieff. Ignatieff had everything going for him - charisma, intelligence and confidence. He worked several years in the UK at Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge. He's an award-winning author, a journalist and a historian. Yet, in a surprising turn of events, Dion won. If Ignatieff had won, then the Liberal party would have had good chances of winning against the conservatives. But now, with Dion having as much charisma as a frog, in an environment where image matters more than reality, the fight is pretty much already won for the conservatives. The conservatives are playing on the lack of confidence of Dion, and it's working.
  14. Most people don't want to be helped, leave it at that. Help people who want to be helped, deserve to be helped and have the intelligence to understand what you're saying to them.
  15. I like my alching nonexistant, hence nowhere. Beat that repetitive-activity-lover narbs.
  16. I did the circus earlier and got 1250, 1333 and 1000(magic one is trickier) doing what I said.
  17. What I do I always do the lvl 90-99 stuff, with emotes inbetween. Even if you fail a few times, overall it pays more.
  18. The last 4 pieces must be put solved "simultaneously", meaning you have to put them in the correct order. You placed 2 out of 4 incorrectly, which is why its not working. Meaning you have to re-scramble the four pieces on the bottom-right until the order is correct. That's as simple as I can can put it. There's also a guide on tip.it about it.
  19. Godswords, bandos, 3rd age, armadyl, treasure trail items, the new shields, dragon full helm, or keep the money for future uber items.
  20. do what ouchy said Put a placeholder for absolutely everything you could ever need in f2p in your bank before p2p runs out. Make sure to bank all your members crap in your bank, and don't get it out. Then when you become f2p, you will have placeholders for everything. Obviously, you have to make sure not to remove anything placeholding your back, otherwise you can't put it back it as you'll be over the f2p limit.
  21. The ipods are overpriced, and I has proof :P [hide=new ipod nano 8GB]So apple shop says: 8 Go1: 2 000 chansons / 8 heures de vidéo 169,00 $ That's canadian dollars f00s Now we go on CNET.com, they like to kiss apples [wagon] but that's the only credible mp3 website I rememeber atm, so... Our apple kiss [wagon] say: Apple iPod Nano (fourth generation, 8GB, silver) Price range: $139.94 - $149.99 Let' see the specs: Mfr estimated battery life 24 hour(s) Battery Life Details Video playback 4 hour(s), Digital playback 24 hour(s) In case someone is insane enough to watch videos on it. Is there a radio homies? Nope, no radio. Formats supported? Digital player supported digital audio standards WAV, AIFF, Audible, MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless Weight 1.3 oz Only works with the crappy itunes apple uses. And thats pretty much what I saw that's relevant.[/hide][hide=sansa fuze 8GB]Now let's compare to SanDisk Sansa Fuze (8GB, silver) Which has been very popular aswell. Price range: $95.99 - $156.36 -WIN- Mfr estimated battery life 24 hour(s) Battery Life Details MP3 playback 24 hour(s), Video playback 5 hour(s) -TIE- Digital player supported digital audio standards WMA, WAV, Audible, MP3 -TIE- Radio :P -WIN- Radio FM station preset qty 40 Tuner type Digital Radio tuner Tuner bands FM Weight -LOSE- 2.1 oz It is very physically unattractive btw. 40 dollars cheaper :P Cons: Weights 0.8 more oz, oh noes! Doesn't support unused formats noone cares about, but supports WMA :P Pros: Has FM radio 40 dollars cheaper What do you ghetto people are going to buy? :P As a side note, many websites say that the fuze has better sound quality than the ipods.[/hide] Short comparison: [hide=Old ipod nano 4BG]The old: Apple iPod Nano (third generation, 4GB, silver) Price range: $109.95 - $149.99 Weight 1.7 oz Digital player supported digital audio standards WAV, AIFF, Audible, MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless Battery Life Details Digital playback 24 hour(s), Video playback 5 hour(s) Mfr estimated battery life 24 hour(s) Software Included (lol, more like forced) iTunes 7.4 or later No radio[/hide][hide=Sandisk sansa clip 4GB]SanDisk Sansa Clip (4GB, silver) Price range: $64.99 - $104.24 Radio: yes Digital Radio tuner Station preset qty 40 Tuner bands FM Digital player supported digital audio standards WMA, Protected WMA (DRM), Audible, MP3 Battery Life Details MP3 playback 15 hour(s) (battery took a hit) No weight specified, its small anyhow About 44 dollars cheaper, you lose 10 hours of battery life, and gain FM radio.[/hide] Now if we go into the heavy weights [hide=Apple Ipod classic 120GB]Apple website says: 120 Go1 30 000 chansons 150 heures de vidéo Expédié sous: 1 à 2 jours ouvrables 279,00 $ 280$? Why does apple always sell it expensive to us poor canadians? Pffff Our kiss [wagon] say: Apple iPod Classic (second generation, 120GB, silver) Price range: $239.94 - $249.99 We obviously have to take their word for it right? Weight 4.9 oz Digital player supported digital audio standards WAV, AIFF, Audible, MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless Battery Life Details Digital playback 36 hour(s), Video playback 6 hour(s) Mfr estimated battery life 36 hour(s)[/hide][hide=Microsoft Zune 80GB]Microsoft Zune (second generation, 80GB, black) 120GB is not out yet, it will soon, but for now we have just 80 to compare to. As a side note, Zune is also known to have better audio quality than ipods. Price range: $229.99 - $549.99 Digital player supported digital audio standards WMA, MP3, AAC Weight 4.5 oz Mfr estimated battery life 20 hour(s) Battery Life Details Music playback (wireless off) 20 hour(s), Pictures 5 hour(s), Video playback 5 hour(s) The ipod definitively wins this one, BY FAR. However, the audio quality is still lacking, as usual.[/hide] Now into the mp3s with nice and pretty screens to look at. [hide=Apple ipod touch 16GB]Apple iPod Touch (second generation, 16GB) Price range: $287.87 - $299.99 Weight 4.1 oz Display Type LCD 3.5 in Battery Life Details Digital playback 36 hour(s), Video playback 6 hour(s) Mfr estimated battery life 36 hour(s) Ipod sound quality which is not very good Software Included iTunes Store account, iTunes 8 or later[/hide][hide=Cowon D2 16GB]Cowon D2 (16GB, black) Cowons new baby Good audio quality, as usual from cowon Price range: $211.73 - $214.95 For some reason CNET had no specs, which made me angry and I had to go check the cowon website, which is korean and confusing as usual. SD Memory expansion slot: you can have extra memory beyond 16GB Screen: 2.5", 24 bit (16 million) color, 320 x 240, TFT-LCD Weight: 91 g (3.21 oz) Rated battery life: 52 hours for music, 10 hours for video <-- See this? XD Cowon always very good at battery life FM radio FM recorder Voice recorder An easy win for the D2[/hide] Now there are so many players, it's difficult to compare. But you can see the general pattern here: Sometimes Ipod is better than the competition, sometimes it isn't, but it is ALWAYS more expensive(except maybe in the zunes case... I thought zune was supposed to be better?). :P Anyway, Im posting this before my computer crashes and kills all my damn work! I'm going to go dig through internet for info on sound comparison between ipods and other brands. More on that later.
  22. We could do even BETTER! Regress back to certs, and spend hours upon hours transforming raw items into coupons again! It's so much fun!
  23. Silly narbs, both the merchants and Jagex control the market. Merchants rig the hell out of all the stuff that people buy and make money off of everyone's backs. By the time Jagex figured out what has happened, it's over. Jagex feels compelled to make some sort of action, so they decide to take a random measure destined to "stop" future problems. Measures which obviously, fail, and end up annoying the hell out of everyone. What is there to say? Cheer up emo Runescapers, it's even worse in real life :
  24. Lol, Leonardo da vinci rip-off. Narbs. The picture with the two girls with drag weapons just screams: OMG I LOVE SAILOR MOON!
