It's got nothing to do with you not being high lvl enough, more like you being stupid. You can do barrows, plenty of low lvls do it. But you tried to fight dharok without prayer, it doesn't matter which lvl you are at you'll die anyway, because that's stupidity, not actual lack of strength.

Everyone knows the whole "unofficial" tip.it chat is an excuse the mods use to hide behind and wash their hands of whatever happens there. A tipit mod is the owner, how more official can you get? Anyway, my advice is to stay out of the tipit chats, lots of stupid people there.

Will kebab be used when PKing in F2P?Conclusion P.5!
highlanders replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
It doesn't seem like a wise idea to bring food that might not heal actually heal you. If your life is on the life, you want something that is garanteed to work. But sure, it's a very good idea if you're a very poor F2P decent food that's practically free. -
RS is never going to be what it was in the past. When RS2 replaced RSC for a solid 2-3 years there was a huge expansion of the amount of players. Ever since that peak, the amount of player has slowly been going down. RS is crippled technologically, and that puts solid limits to what it can do and the amount of players it has the power to attract. We've reached that peak and now there isn't going to be any more growing for RS. While other gaming companies are producing mind-blowing graphics coupled with good gameplay and content, RS is still stuck in the middle-ages. RS just remains that cheap, low requirement, easy accessible mmorpg. And meanwhile, jagex will release mechscape whose purpose is probably to attract "real" gamers.

Wow this thread is full of fail. You're stereotyping that A) that real veterants don't exist, it's all just people telling lies B) that the years you spent playing can be used for nothing else but bragging. For the record, real veterants exist, and most of them aren't going to brag about it. That you're a veterant means you have lots of stories to tell about how RS was a few years ago, and that you have some experience. That's it, it doesn't make you a god, but it does mean you have some history. The people who seem to be hating on veterants so much only strike me as jealous, which is ridiculous. Veterants can tell you some nice stories if you spend the time to talk with them, respect that, ordinary players can't do that. Saying that being a veterant "means nothing" is a lie, it does mean something. In a nutshell, they aren't there to be worshipped, but give them the credit they deserve.

On paper, the idea sounds fun to you. But Imagine yourself trying to kill people with an iron dagger. Nothing exciting there. Do you really think it's going to be fun?

Should Jagex allow us to hide advertisements?
highlanders replied to cybergla's topic in General Discussion
They already indirectly allow us to do it by not punishing those who do hide them. That rule is only there to make the advertizing companies happy, they don't actually enforce it, and since they don't enforce it its the same thing as if it didn't exist. -
I wouldn't say the AGS "sucks", it's a very good sword, but it's not the most practical. It's a bit like the ZGS, only useful is specific situations. For pking in BH you will want the AGS spec for the sheer KO factor to kill your opponents faster than they can eat, in BH there is no need for healing as you just have to pickup your victims' food lying a bit everywhere: the most important thing is really to manage to kill the people to begin with and the AGS will do that very well. But if you're somewhere training, you have jack cabbage use for the KO factor, you will want something that will help you stay there longer. You could call it damage over time, efficiency over longer periods of time. Versus the AGS which is hit high NOW, the SGS will outlive and probably outdamage the AGS but over longer periods of time only. SGS is the most versatile of the two but it's not *always* better. For the price though, AGS is overrated, like zierro said it's like the partyhat version of a sword "Omg watch me hit high!" but the cost is not really representative of the real usefulness.

I've been saying this for months. It's like people can't get wrapped around their heads that slayer is no longer good money, nor good exp. Their biggest argument is "oh but it's fun, it adds variety". It still inefficient. Slayer was good when whips were 5M and nobody had 85 slayer. 85 slayer was nice nice money. Now that's 100% gone, and all you really get is the drops from the monsters you kill. It's like people can't seem to understand that no matter which monster you kill, slayer or not, you will get exp and drops, there's nothing special about it, stop spatting out every 5 seconds "oh but its good exp and good money!". It isn't, it's nothing special and defintively not worth the time anymore.

Well one time jagex messed up and charged me for 2 additional months, and locked my account until I would pay. I messaged them but they just sent me an automated reply stating that I was at the culprit for their mess up. Jagex sure are gentlemen aren't they... not. I mean, [wagon]. Bunch of evil [wagon]. >.>

The funny thing is banana-picking sounds really dumb, but it's exactly like actual skills, wooducuting notably. Click tree, wait, get log/banana.

Uber High LVL Forum! Apply now! 99 everything! Nice life, to
highlanders replied to Wkw's topic in General Discussion
Duh! Only people with all skills to 99 could possibly be intelligent and have intelligent ideas. /sarcasm if you couldn't tell I dont think this is useful at all. I don't need to put my hand in a fire to know it will hurt, just like I don't have to have 99 firemaking to know it's nothing else but mindless amounts of clicking. I don't see why someone who stupidly wasted hours to get 99 firemaking would have better ideas for firemaking than anybody else. If anything, it's a sign of stupidity. People who have 99 everywhere obviously like the game a lot, either they played for several years or no-lifed and have evident inrl problems. I can see this turning into massive Jagex [wagon] kissing. -
no moar monni to play the internetz, no moar monyz for RS no moar monniz for da electitricitiez free foods pls x_x But anyway, if RS dies it's not a big loss at all. RS hasn't been a good game since a long time. I hope you're being sarcastic. The answer to the question is nothing. Theoritically, if you play RS, your life is already at the worst possible, and once you stop playing it, things can only get better. Hehe :P

if u giv me 5k imma be ur frind

Nuuuuuuu, neva! Change is evil! ... joking Srsly I think that it's just plain lazyness from Jagex's part. They figured that making new stuff would attract more new members than fixing what's already there.

Oh ok. But mentioning my name in step 5 made me think it was. nvm then lol That was for the lulz. You said you approved of people who got 99s in p2p, so you give them free massages. :lol: It's supposed to be a joke ;__;

Huh? The message wasn't adressed to you, apart from the lol

No, not really. People like bill gates are huge exceptions. There were studies showing that employers are much more likely to promote charismatic and confident employees than promote quiet intelligent people, even if the intelligent people did a 10x better job than the charismatic ones. You could be a real slacker, but as long as you're charismatic and confident you'll be picked over the nerds. The whole nerds get good jobs is a huge myth. People who are most likely to succeed are people who are both intelligent, charismatic, and social at the same time. That's why I always say it's a very good thing to take some dramatic arts/theater classes, because that's going to be useful in pretty much all areas of life. Even outside of the workplace, quiet intelligent people are always overlooked in favour of the loud, albeit dumber, ones. Not to mention - this is all based on the assumption that nerds are more intelligent than normal people. Most geeks are just as intelligent as anybody else. Average intelligence plus below-average sociability, with that combinaison might aswell put a "fail" sign on your back. There was also another study that shows employers prefer hiring balanced employes rather than people extremely good at one thing, but incredibly lacking in others. This is yet another bad thing for nerds.

Option A) Step 1: Get p2p with il tuo genitori's(parents) credit card Step 2: Put chat off and pretend you're not there Step 3: Get all f2p skills to 99 without touching to the p2p ones Step 4: Cancel membership Step 5: Brag and get free massages from brunokiller Step 6: Your trickery gets discovery and everyone shuns you -SHUN- Step 7: You cry and suicide Option B) Step 1: Decide you want to be one of those couragerous *cough dumb cough* to get all 99 f2p legit Step 2: You grind all day long for years Step 3: You become obese, ugly, uneducated and lonely Step 4: You finally achieve it and gain "respect" from random internet people who don't care Step 5: You end up a hobo on the street Step 6: You die from the plague See? Bad things happens from trying to get all f2p skills 99. Lol

I don't buy what people say about only playing the game because they like it and no other reason. The game is fun, but to a certain extent only. Past the initital newb stages where everything seems so awesome, and everything is left to explore, the game becomes a grindfest. And the longer you spend time with the community, the more you start noticing how obnoxious it is. Just the community alone is a huge daily annoyance. Add that to the fact Jagex hasn't come up with an interesting update for quite some time now. There was GWD, then summoning, but ever since then it's been very dry and there's not much to do for old players. Personally, there's a million other things I would prefer to be doing right now than being on internet. But because of circonstances, that's how it is for now, but hopefully some time soon that's going to change. I just don't understand someone who would willingly sacrifice other things in order to play RS. Inrl > internet, the vast majority of people would agree with that. So if you're on internet playing RS too, out of all the mmorpgs, then I can only think that there's some sort of dark reason why you ended up in that position. If you have no dark reason why you're there, then that means that somewhere along the way you decided that RS was going to be more fun than inrl.

Where would you be in life without Runescape?
highlanders replied to Dean Ambrose's topic in General Discussion
I would be posting my heart away on some forums. I just love forums, ever since my first forum, which was one our english teacher forced us to use. The arguments/statements/threads of my classmates were so dumb, it was so easy and fun to destroy them. Ever since, I've keep going. Atm, I post on 3 forums including this one, but it's not enough T_T Moar forums pl0x -
