... Lol? And your avatar is ugly. I'm just saying. Any random website can make you agree to a bunch of terms. The terms could say practically anything. "If you click I agree, you must give me your house, all your money, and become my slave forever." If you click agree, do you really think you are bound to do it? Nope. Legally, it's a gray zone wether your virtual possesions are owned by you or by Jagex. In the game, Jagex has authority and can ban you for going against their terms. But in the law, as long as what you're is legal, you're bound to jack [cabbage] to what the terms say as their just arbritary stuff Jagex made-up, and obviously Jagex is not the word of law. I'm sick of you stupid people, it's not hard to understand.

Lol, everyone knows holiday rewards haven't been good ever since the scythe, maybe apart from the grim hood. You can count on jagex to create an ugly item, outfit or emote that nobody will use. :

Tip.it Times Presents: A Time of War
highlanders replied to Turtlefemm's topic in General Discussion
The thing people have to get wrapped around their head is that it doesn't matter what's tweaked or whatnot, skills will never be profitable except in a few select cases. People are ready to spend money in order to gain exp, this means that quickly after their arrival in the game, new ways to make money through skills will quickly stop being profitable, then cut even or make a loss of money. To make any kind of profit with a skill you need either: A) A very arduous and boring skill no one else wants to do. Eg: Runecrafting. B) Very high set of skill requirements that a very little amount of players have. eg: 85 slayer when whips were introduced. But, for it to stay profitable a decent amount of time, the requirements just have to be very restrictive. Boss hunting is a mix of restrictive requirements/risk/arduous and obnoxious idiots you have to team up with. That combinason of annoying factors is why boss hunting is profitable. In other words, if something is fun, no profit. If something is unfun, you make profit. Lol, don't you just love this game? -
Firemaking is key to the All Fired Up quest and the minigame you unlock afterwards. After lighting all 14 beacons, you obtain the Inferno Adze. This speeds up woodcutting considerably, as it incinerates a random amount of logs you cut, allowing you to cut for longer periods of time. It also cuts at the same speed as a dragon axe. Let's imagine that jagex adds a "bank sitting" skill. The longer you sit in banks doing nothing, the higher level it is. Then jagex adds a minigame that requires a certain bank sitting level. Is the bank sitting skill suddenly useful? No. It's just as useless as before, but jagex tried some dumb-[wagon] desperate idea to make it "useful". Now replace everything I said with firemaking. Smithing is used to supply RuneScape with higher leveled armor and weapons in F2P. Not many F2P monsters drop rune platebodies, so someone had to make them in the first place. Of course, nowadays rune platebodies are plentiful so this part of the skill is in a way obselete. But then again, the minigame Blast Furnace requires at least one skilled smith, so smithing is still not completely useless. Plus, smithing steel bars or cannonballs makes a bit of profit. Smithing is useless except for usables. Meaning 99% of smithing is useless. Fletching is useless except for usables. Crafting is useless for the most part. Firemaking is lol Theiving is useless Construction past a certain lvl Then there's all those dumb skills that give almost no income. Technically not useless, financially yes. Woodcuting, monny pliz Fishing monnyz pliz Slayer is "fun" (and inefficient) Runecraft moar autoers pliz

Next skill that's officially been killed - Prayer
highlanders replied to XxTearGodxX's topic in General Discussion
Ecto is known to be slow, even with grind X, it doesn't change much. A skill is "killed" when something huge happens to it making it times easier than before. This is not it. -

F2P Str ammy vs Power Ammy (see bottom of page 3)
highlanders replied to Yomyth105's topic in General Discussion
Isn't this supposed to be a no-brainer? The stats are: Power ammy Attack Defence Stab 6 Stab 6 Slash 6 Slash 6 Crush 6 Crush 6 Magic 6 Magic 6 Range 6 Range 6 Summoning 6 Strength 6 Prayer 1 Str ammy Attack Defence Stab 0 Stab 0 Slash 0 Slash 0 Crush 0 Crush 0 Magic 0 Magic 0 Range 0 Range 0 Summoning 0 Strength 10 Prayer 0 Is it worth it to sacrifice 30 pts of defence, +6 for all attack styles, and 1 prayer bonus pt just for 4 additional str bonus? No. Buy power ammy boys and girls, end of discussion. -

It being called a cash shop one would assume they would sell gp, anyway that would give someone an advantage because anyone who wastes money there would have an advantage over anyone who doesn't because everyone else works for their money. And the majority things in rs can be bought if you throw enough money at it some skills included. As for the items you speak of, it would still be unfair for someone to get them with cash, whereas someone else would have to work for them, or not get them at all. Edit: Also imagine all the social divides this would create, we would see rs being split into people who buy rs cash, and people who don't. I can almost guarantee that we would see people criticizing other for buying/ not buying rs cash. Sometimes I wonder where all you people come from. People who "assume" things, when they're actually clueless. And people you don't read what I say and come up with BS conclusions. I can only imagine you have problems reading the english language, because otherwise it's just plain stupidity. Now, if you had played a game with a cash shop, you would know what a shop cash is. Cash shops as in "I use my real cash to buy stuff". Cash shops don't sell in-game money, they never do. They sell power-ups (things that make you stronger or give you better xp), clothing (to make your character prettier), and game-specific things that are good to have. Usually, all of them are tradable. Which means, for instance, you buy a pack of 50 for 50 dollars, you sell each item for 10M, you just made 500M. When it's tradable, it's an indirect way to buy money. Clothing. Clothing is what most cash shops make the most money from. Usually, it consists of a set of good looking clothes that you can wear ON your equipment, which hides it. It gives no advantage, it's just for looks. Now, what did I say? "Items only for looks", hence clothing which gives you no advantage except increased prettiness. "They're untradable once you buy them", hence you don't make any in-game gp with them, since you will never be able to sell them. Now the next time you misinterpret what I say, and assume something really stupid, I'm going to make a long and lengthly post as to why I think you should go take some english classes, and go play a F2P /w cashshop mmorpg.
-
It doesn't matter as long as whatever the cash shop sells doesn't give the player an advantage over someone else. So items only for looks is fine, as long as they're untradable once you buy them.
