  1. When talking about items to protect from each gods' forces, you should mention the Bandos pool in Oo'glog, which acts like a Bandos item for 1 hour after taking a swim (and a swim in the run, prayer, and hp pools while you're there certainly won't hurt). Also, mention that you can grab an Armadyl Pendant even after finishing Temple of Ikov in Part 1 instead of just the (second) FAQ. You don't really need to bring food if you're praying, unless you want some for emergencies, but that's partly why you should have a house teletab anyway. You might want to add another method of killing aviansies, for those who are there for the cash more than the exp. If you're praying, you can use emerald (e) bolts instead of broad bolts, and actually take off your arma item once you're ready to get started (bringing something to wear in place of your arma item is a good idea - I use a guthix stole in place of my arma pendant, for the prayer bonus). Because of the way these bolts work, you can actually see a graphical effect when the monster you're fighting is poisoned. Thus, you can attack one aviansie until it is poisoned, then switch to another one until it gets poisoned, then switch to a third, and so on. The ones you stop attacking will continue taking damage from the poison and eventually die, though you may need to repoison them a few times. This will still get a fair bit of range exp, but a lot more drops than hitting just one at a time. And because you're praying protection from missiles, having 15 aviansies attacking you does no more damage than having 1 attacking you. Other than the loss of range xp, the only real downside is that you really need to have the place all to yourself if you want to do this, since you will be hogging all of the aviansies you can reach.
  2. 1: I like the idea, but that's a bit much. As someone said earlier, perhaps a pouch, or an equipped item? Pouches have a precedent with the abyss pouches and the crossbow pouch; a charm pouch would be quite fitting. Though having to stop and put the charms in whenever you picked one up would be a rather time consuming addition to slayer training... 3: I love this idea! Though it'd be nice to see an example of the high-def larger screen version of the minimap. 4: Eh, I somewhat like this but not a ton - the idea is nice, but implementing it would be rather complicated... and it makes it a lot harder to score... 5: YES. I wear weight reduction equipment all the time, so it's really annoying when I want to change the rest of my stuff and leave that on. 9: Doesn't happen to me as much as it apparently happens to you, but it is kinda annoying when it happens. So yeah, that'd be good. 10: Heck yeah. I find the altered layouts too confusing to use - I stick with the normal book, so I actually know where everything is. 15: That would also be nice. And it'd stop that annoying phenomenon where I accidentally click outside the bank while moving my mouse from the bank screen to the inventory screen, and then start running off when I'm not done banking. Eagerly awaiting more.
  3. The Manage Thy Kingdom minigame can be an excellent tool for moneymaking, earning upwards of 100k a day for about 30 seconds of work, but surprisingly enough, not a lot of people know it exists, and even fewer actually know how to maximize their profit using it. This guide will explain how the minigame works and what to do to earn the most you can from it, as well as dispelling a few myths. What It All Means 5. Tips 6. FAQ 7. Credits 8. Updates[/hide] 1. Required/Recommended First of all, youll need to complete the Throne of Miscellanea quest. If you want to make the most money possible, youll also need to complete the Royal Trouble quest. Since theres no point in being sub-optimal, Ill assume from here on out that youve finished both quests. You will need a minimum of 750k coins to make the maximum possible amount of money, if you refill your coffers every day. While its certainly possibly (and profitable) to do this, it can be kind of annoying to make a run to your kingdom every day, so a decent alternative is to stop by only once a week. In this case, youll need 1.2m coins to make the most of your money. (Note that upon completion of Throne of Misc. 10k coins are placed in your coffers, and you are also given 20k coins when you finish Royal Trouble) Youll also need either a pickaxe, a woodcutting axe, or a rake (or 15 coins you can buy one from Gardener Gunnhild) to gain approval with your slaves workers. I highly recommend that you complete the Fremennik Achievement Diary, at least the Easy and Medium portions if not the Hard portion as well. The boots you are rewarded with can help quite a bit while managing your kingdom. 2. The Basics The way that all of this works isnt too hard to understand. Basically, you put money into the kingdom coffers and assign workers to collect a certain resource or combination of resources. Each day, some of that money is spent to buy resources from the workers. When you visit, you collect those resources and refill the kingdom coffers, as well as doing a bit of manual labor yourself to keep the workers happy. Simple, eh? Well, the exact way that your money is spent is a tad more complicated than just that. Each day, your workers will withdraw 10% of the money stored in your coffers, up to 75k. Then, that amount is multiplied by your approval rating, and that determines how much money is spent on buying resources that day. If you have less than 100% approval, some of your money will be wasted. This final amount is then spent proportionally according to the workers youve assigned (well, not exactly; see Advanced Tips for a full explanation). If you put all of your workers on one resource, then all of your money will be spent to buy that resource, and youll get a lot of that one item. If you spread them out across several resources, then youll spend some money on each of those resources, and get a small amount of each of those items. When you visit the island, youll want to restore your approval rating to make sure none of your money is wasted this is where youll need a wc axe, pickaxe, or a rake (or 15gp). If you brought a wc axe, then stop at the maple trees on your way to the castle chop these until the lumberjack tells you to stop. If you brought a pickaxe, go north past the castle until you find the coal rocks, and mine there until the miner tells you to stop. If you brought a rake, then stop by the herb and flax patches directly south of the castle entrance and rake those until the gardener tells you to stop. (If you brought 15gp, then talk to the gardener to buy a rake from her, then rake the patches). Make sure to wear your Fremennik boots while doing this (assuming you have them) they speed up this process quite a bit. (If you dont have the boots and youre bringing a rake, you may want to bring a wc or pickaxe as well you can only rake each of the two patches 3 times before theyre free of weeds, and then you have to wait for more weeds to grow before you can continue raising your approval.) Note that there are other ways to raise your approval (by working at other places on the island), but they are out of the way and/or take a lot of time to use. Youll also want to bring some money to restock your coffers. Getting There: There are several ways to get to your kingdom. The slowest is, of course, walking to Rellekka and taking the boat. The next best route is to place your house in Rellekka and teleport there, then exit and take the boat; or using a lyre teleport and then walking to the boat. The quickest way to get to your kingdom is the fairy ring code CIP, which places you just north of the palace and near the coal rocks. [hide=Useful maps] [/hide] 3. Calculations Each material costs a certain amount, and a maximum of 10 workers can be working on gathering 1 material at a time. You can gather the following at these prices: Coal - 92 each Flax or Herbs - 40/827 each Tuna and swordfish (10 tuna per 3 swordfish) - 56 and 188 each Maple logs - 56 each Teak and/or Mahogany logs (after completing Royal Trouble) - 166/224 each As of this guide's last update, you can sell them at the GE for these prices (min/market/max): Coal - 175/184/193 each Flax 77/81/85 each Herbs 168/177/186 each (see below for calculations) Tuna 109/115/121 raw, 81/85/89 cooked Swordfish 514/541/568 raw, 466/491/500 cooked Maple logs 36/38/40 each Teak logs 82/86/90 each Mahogany logs 248/261/274 each After completing Royal Trouble you can also gather farming seeds. I dont have much information on the spread of seeds that you get, so I cant include that here. In any case, I doubt its end results would come close to the profits made via the other resources. [hide=Herb calculations]When you set workers to gather herbs, you receive a distribution of different types. Using the graph on Tip.Its MTK page, we can see that if you gathered 100 herbs, you would get approximately: 22 tarromin 19.8 harralander 5.6 ranarr 12.4 irit 13.5 avantoe 7.5 kwuarm 6.4 cadantine 6.7 lantadyme And 6.2 dwarf weed. (these are all grimy, not clean) Multiply these by their respective GE prices, divide by 100, and round, and we find that the average amount you can sell herbs for is: 168/177/186 each.[/hide] After a certain amount of each material gathered you receive a bonus reward. Coals reward is 1 gem each 150 coal, flaxs reward is 1 herb seed each 600 flax, maple trees give 1 bird nest for every 100 logs, and teak and mahogany trees give 1 bird nest for every 350 logs. Fishing rewards are complicated enough that they're hard to predict you can get caskets (containing <500gp, a cosmic talisman, or a gem), gems, green boots, green gloves, half keys, or clue scrolls. A max of 50,000 can be spent on each material (75k per day, max 10 of your 15 workers on one resource, so max 50k on one resource). You can gather a maximum of this many per day: 50000/91.6=545 coal 50000/40=1250 flax 50000/826.4=60 herbs 50000/(((56.3*10)+(189.4*3))/13)=574 fish 50000/56.1=891 maple logs 50000/166.1=301 teak logs 50000/224.6=222 mahogany logs If you sell those at the median price on the GE, your profit per day is: Coal: 545*184-50000=50281gp Flax: 1250*89-50000=61251gp Raw Fish: 3*(574/13)*541+10*(574/13)*115-50000=72427gp Cooked Fish: 3*(574/13)*491+10*(574/13)*85-50000=52560gp Maple: 891*38-50000=-16142gp or 51288 gp with tree seeds (see below) Teak: 301*86-50000=-24114gp or -15466gp with tree seeds (see below) Mahogany: 222*261-50000=7942gp or 12176gp with tree seeds (see below) As we can clearly see, we dont want to waste any time on teak or mahogany logs. Cooked fish and coal can turn a decent profit, but not the best possible. Raw fish is most beneficial, and flax is next best. [hide=Tree Seed calculations]Now, most of the time the bonus items arent worth enough to change the rankings of what is most profitable listed above. However, certain tree seeds can sell for upwards of 150k each. Thanks to the graph on TipIts MTK page, we can determine the average amount an individual seed is worth the same way we did herbs earlier multiply each seed types percentage on the graph by its market price on the GE and divide by 100, and we find that the average value of each tree seed you collect is 7840gp. Maple You can gather 891 maple logs per day, and you get 1 bird nest for every 100 logs. That means you'll get 8.9 bird nests. About 65% of those nests will contain seeds; the others will contain rings (which are negligible) or eggs (which cannot be sold). That amounts to about 5.79 seeds per day. 5.79*7840=45394gp from seeds. Also, you can sell the bird nests themselves for 2476gp each, which adds 22036gp to the total. So, youll make an average of -16142+45394+22036=51288gp per day with maples and nests. So, maples might not be as terrible as they first seemed, but they still arent the best of the group. Teak You can gather 301 teak logs per day, and you get 1 bird nest for every 350 logs. That means you'll get 0.86 bird nests per day. About 65% of those nests will contain seeds; the others will contain rings (which are negligible) or eggs (which cannot be sold). That amounts to about 0.56 seeds per day. 0.56*7840=4390gp from seeds. Also, you can sell the bird nests themselves for 2476gp each, which adds 2129gp to the total. So, youll make an average of -24114+4390+2129=-15466gp per day with teaks and nests. Teaks are still terrible, even when you factor in the few seeds and nests youd get. Mahogany You can gather 222 mahogany logs per day, and you get 1 bird nest for every 350 logs. That means you'll get 0.63 bird nests. About 65% of those nests will contain seeds; the others will contain rings (which are negligible) or eggs (which cannot be sold). That amounts to about 0.41 seeds per day. 0.41*7840=3219gp from seeds. Also, you can sell the bird nests themselves for 2476gp each, which adds 1015gp to the total. So, youll make an average of 7942+3219+1015=12176gp per day with mahogany logs and nests. This still doesnt begin to compare to the money you could make with almost any of the other options. So, overall we find that the bird nests still dont make the trees more profitable than either raw fish or flax.[/hide] Thus we should put 10 workers (50k) on fish and 5 workers (25k) on flax. This will lead to an average daily profit of 72427+(52560/2)=98707 gp. So if you collect and restore approval every day (which means youll need 750k in the coffers and put 75k back in each day), youll be making more than 100k profit (because of the bonuses) for about 30 seconds worth of work. 4. What It All Means The end result of all of this is the following: If you plan on visiting your kingdom once every day, you should have a minimum of 750k coins in your coffer, and bring 75k with you each time you visit. Youll make more 100k every day if you sell everything you collect. If you plan on visiting your kingdom once a week, you should have a minimum of 1.2m coins in your coffer, and bring 525k with you each time you visit. Youll make about 685k per week if you sell everything you collect. (You lose around 15k per week because you arent restoring your approval rating every day, thus some of your money is wasted. The longer you go before restoring your approval, the more money you will waste.) 5. Tips [*:1z8ceusw]Fremennik Boots 2 give you a free lyre teleport each day, so you never have to recharge your enchanted lyre with expensive fish. They also allow you to make use of a shortcut from the Misc. docks to Etc which could be useful. Furthermore, they greatly speed up the rate at which you increase your approval if you wear them while working. Fremennik Boots 3 allow you to sell construction flatpacks to Advisor Ghrim, and you can then deposit the coins into your coffers. [*:1z8ceusw]If youre only collecting every week, it might help you remember to collect if you make sure to do several of the weekly activities at the same time Penguin Hide and Seek, Tears of Guthix, and the Circus are all once-weekly activities. [*:1z8ceusw]You may want to keep an extra day or two's worth of gp in your coffers, in case something comes up and you can't restock when you should. I personally keep my coffers filled to the maximum of 7.5m, because I dont get to log in on a regular basis. Remember that each day your workers will take 75k from your coffers, until you have less than 750k; then they take out 10%. 7.5m, the maximum you can store in your coffers, will last for 90 days before your workers start taking out less than 75k. [*:1z8ceusw]If you forget something you need, the nearest bank is located on the far east side of the island of Etc. You could also return to Zanaris via the fairy ring and bank there, but due to the fairy ring it probably takes longer than simply running across the islands. 6. FAQ Q. Arent maples the most profitable because of the tree seeds and bird nests? A. No, as you can see if you look through my calculations section, maples are actually not incredibly good unless you get very lucky with your seeds. You can make a decent amount off of maples, but on average you will make more with fish and flax. Q. But I/my friend/someone on the forums said they got three seeds that each sold for 150k! A. Thats nice. They got lucky. There is a bit of randomness/luck involved when determining the seeds you get, but overall maples are not the best way to go. I calculated the average amount youd get from seeds and used that to determine total profit; the more time you spend gathering maple logs and tree seeds, the closer your result will be to my average, and unless youre lucky, youll be throwing away potential money. Q. But what if Im a farmer and I use the seeds from the maples, or a smith who uses the coal from the mines? Isnt it more profitable to put my workers there instead of somewhere else? A. Not if youre willing to spend a bit of time. If you put your workers on fish and flax and then sell what you collect, you can use that to buy the same exact seeds/coal you would have gotten, and still have about 20k left over. You also can pick which seeds you buy, instead of getting a semi-random assortment. Q. Some of your math seems weird to me. Where are you getting some of those numbers from? A. More than likely Im grabbing a number from earlier in the guide, or I did some calculations without actually showing all of the steps. If you think I made a mistake somewhere, please let me know its quite possible I typed something in wrong or misread a result. But I promise that the equations themselves are correct. 7. 4. The God Wars article was interesting, and I look forward to the next one. However, the writer should remember that gnomes, and quite possibly dwarves (don't remember at the moment), are rather stout supporters of Guthix, and so they would be working to end the violence, not take any particular side.
  5. Good, but needs updating to account for the major additions from the God Wars Dungeon, and also the information from Defender of Varrock about that particular Mahjarrat. Personally, I wouldn't list all the major demons and Mahjarrat as minor gods... the demons definitely aren't, and the Mahjarrat, well, they're demi-gods, at best (after all, Zamorak had to remove Zaros before becoming a true god). I suppose that I'd organize it a bit differently, in general, with the three major gods, the lesser and former gods (Zaros, Armadyl, Bandos, Rashiliyia), the regional gods (the Menaphite pantheon, Seren, Fossegrimen, Kendal with a note that he may or may not really be a god, Scarabas), and other various god-related beings of note (the demons, the Mahjarrat, Iban, Juna, Azzandra, possibly Arrav). If you went through and updated this, including the extra information, removing redundant listings, and possibly reorganizing, it would be an unparalleled gathering of Runescape-related religious information. As is, it's decent but outdated and badly organized. If you're no longer keeping this up to date, I might have to go write something myself.
  6. Heh, have fun with your members. I'll look forward to an active members section here in a year or so; it'll take that long to get acquainted with everything members has to offer. :P I edited a bit on my earlier post, and added a bit about the crossbow pouch. If/when you make a members section feel free to use whatever I said in that post; if you do your own writing, you'll want to talk a lot about the Quest Hall and Costume Room in people's houses (also, mention that you can keep house teletabs and two portal rooms, with all available portals, instead of keeping teletabs to all the different cities; tele home and then go through the portal instead of teleing directly to the city). I'll give you bank pics if you want em, though I can't promise when I'll look in here again (I was wandering through the AOW when I saw this and felt like checking in).
  7. My current stats: My end-of-year goals: Everything to a minimum of level 60, or if I do that very quickly then to 65 Everything that's above 60 to the next increment of 5 70 Prayer 75 Att/Str/Def (the only goal from this past year I didn't accomplish was to get 70 def, fell a bit short) 70 Con 65 Fishing (and finally finish Trio; I burned the thing I got during the quest, so I have to fish a new one) 1700 total I had similar goals for this past year, with a minimum of 50 in every skill, 70 Att/Def/Str, 75 Mage/Range, 60 Prayer, and 1500 total... I managed to do everything except the def, partly due to RL issues form the past few months (I actually got a few def levels earlier today). Hopefully I'll be just as successful in this coming year. I know my goals may seem rather low to some, especially those looking for 99's in all sorts of things, but these are rather challenging goals for me. Between my lack of an ability to train for long periods of time and my time constraints, I'm quite proud to say I managed to finish last year's goals (with the exception of def). Also, it's very cool to be able to say I have no skill below level 54, and only 5 skills below 60 - I'm very much an all-rounder (focusing on mage and range combat, if you didn't guess already). Not a lot of people can say that. I may not have incredibly high levels in a particular skill, or be incredibly good at combat, but I can do a lot of things that those people can't, and that makes me quite happy. Anyway, I kinda went rambling off there... those are my goals for the coming year. Yay.
  8. I think it very much depends on the individual team as to what you need 2 of. I have a fair amount of experience with this game, and healing in particular (level 5 healer, level 3 collector and defender). The few times I've managed to be on a high level team at wave 10, I had a fairly easy job of healing everyone, but when the average level of the team is below 90 or so, I'm always going crazy to take care of everything, even with a second healer to help. Personally I could never manage wave 10 without a second healer to help, but that's more because of the teams I tend to have than anything else. My second healer is usually level 2 or 3 and not used to the craziness of wave 10, and so I have to do most of the healing and half of the poisoning, and guide the team through the critical queen-killing phase while trying to keep everyone from dying.... maybe I just need to find better teams. >.> Anyway, while doing this is certainly possible, it isn't always the best course of action.
  9. If you look on the first page, a guy figured out that if your prayer is less than 44, a wrench is good; if it's higher than 44 then an extra prayer pot will last longer than the wrench will.
  10. Sometime I'm going to write a bit about the common problem spots in getting orbs around obstacles, and the best ways of dealing with them. In the mean time, I'll just use your guide. It's nicely done, though it does need more stuff added to be a great one (but as it's new that's perfectly fine).
  11. How exactly are the "highest" 500 determined? Total level? CB level? Highest skill level? Adding this to the first post would be nice. If it's cb level, I'll go ahead and jump into one of the lower spots... RSN Sorator, P2P.
  12. Naturally I find this after my period of yak training... I never knew about the spinning wheel right there, or the range, or that you could make shields with the rope. Before I'd keep the hair and spin it in Lumby, then sell it at the GE... I'll keep this in mind next time I go training there, thanks!
  13. The colors need changing, now. I can't read half of it (the brown-green-ish color) without highlighting it, and that's a hassle. The other color (the more 'normal' green) isn't exactly easy to see either. It will what? I know what they do, but you need to finish the thought. You should mention that the new Explorer's Ring (reward from Lumby achievement diaries) has a teleport that takes you much closer to the Falador patch than a Glory teleport will. 2/10 simply because of the colors (it's understandable if this was written before the forum change, but if you update the guide at all you need to fix it). 7/10 if you fix the colors, fix your grammar and spelling errors (nothing major, but capitalization is missing in some places), add in the explorer's ring, and finish your sentence in the Tips section; possibly higher if you include methods using other herbs.
  14. Do you have any thoughts on bringing herbs (or buying them at the GE before selling the tar) to make the tar into herb tar? I know some have suggested that when using this method but I haven't seen it as more than a suggestion, so I'm curious.
  15. I agree with the author. I have more time than he does, and I haven't played as long, but I am still rather low-leveled in comparison to most others playing for 3 years (my cb level just recently hit 88). I rarely judge people off their combat level, simply because I know combat isn't everything (for quite some time I was a skiller, having a combat level in the 50's and other skills in the high 60's). I do make some assumptions, simply because it's impossible not to, but I don't treat lower-levels as an inferior race or act like the higher-levels all cheated to get what they have. I treat everyone as a decent human being, regardless of level, and I wish more people would do the same.
  16. Agreed. Capitalizing random words is annoying and distracts from the purpose of the guide. Also, don't use "U" in place of "you", and remember that "your" is possessive while "you're" is "you are". If you write anything on a forum, especially a guide (which generally requires more thought than the average post), having bad grammar or constant misspellings simply makes you look stupid, whether you actually are or not.
  17. If you want to add a small members section, feel free to use this (there's certainly more that could be done, just a bit I came up with while watching TV, heh). Keyring: A reward from the One Small Favor quest, this little piece of metal saves you a ton of space. Almost any key in the game will go onto this thing, saving you around 20 spaces if you have a lot of em. House: Specifically the Costume Room and Quest Hall. These things can save you a lot of space, if you dont mind having to run to your house to get the stuff you store there. Your holiday rewards go in your costume room, and your random event clothing can be stored here if you have a full set (a nice side effect is that those events stop giving you spare clothing; theyll give you 500gp instead). Many capes and armor sets can be put in here as well, making it a great space saver. Excalibur and Silver/Darklight go into your quest halls (you probably should have 2, if only for those). Also, any of the rooms (including the Quest Hall) that feature bookcases let you throw away your old quest manuscripts; they can be found in those bookcases whenever you need them. If you dont plan on using your anti-dragon shield much, it can also be stored in your Quest Hall (but more than likely youll want an amulet of glory instead; this is another reason to have two Quest Halls). If you have a set of mithril, adamant, or rune armor that youve made yourself, you can store that in a Skill Hall (but it does require the smithing level it takes to make it, so its not a great option). And of course if you get any trophies you can set them up in there too. Staffs: Members tend to need the elemental staffs more than f2p (if you're using magic, that is), but you can still save space by cutting down on redundancy. There's little/no need for having a lava staff and also a mystic fire staff and also a normal fire staff. In other words, if you have the mystic or battle staff of one element, you don't also need a normal staff of that element. Furthermore, if you have the lava staff, you don't need a fire or earth staff, and so on for the other combination staffs. (The only exception is if you're going into a dangerous area, since those can be worth a fair amount, but getting a single element staff, from the GE or from the staff shop, is easy enough.) Bolt pouch: If you store crossbow bolts, you really should grab the crossbow bolt pouch; it can hold 4 types of bolts, potentially saving 3 spaces. It can't hold more than 255 of one type of bolt, though you can use more than one slot for the same type of bolt, so if you have large amounts of bolts it won't be of much use. Overall the single most useful thing mentioned here is your house - it can be incredibly helpful. Otherwise it's only a few space's difference. While P2P has a lot more space than F2P, you can still fill your bank up if you aren't careful, especially if you pursue certain skills (farming, herblore, and cooking are probably the worst). You don't have to keep everything GEBank'd the way F2P does, but you can improve your organization and free space by selling off some of the things you don't really need and using alternative storage for the things you do, namely putting them in your house or turning them into sets. If you have an amulet of glory, the GE is never far away, so don't be afraid to put things into sets; you only have to make an extra stop before getting wherever you were going, and a lot of times you'd be going to the GE beforehand anyway. Just cause we have bigger banks doesn't mean we have infinite space - conserve some space now, and you will be happier later.
  18. About the pendant: It can still be useful when playing off multiple aviansies with prayer; if you need to log out for a bit, or just take a break, it's quite useful. Just put it on and kill any aviansies still attacking you, and you can take all the time you need (remember to turn off prayer so you don't waste it though).
  19. Bank update for sure, but the others look to be amazing as well. I like the idea of an achievement diary I can actually fully complete. (anyone else notice that it said beginner, easy, and medium, as opposed to easy, medium, and hard?) Item lending might be interesting, but I won't use it much. New quest: meh, there's always new quests, and for some reason I doubt this will have a re-playable feature attached to it like the better quests do. As one person said already, this is an update to the game interface, which is much more exciting than just another quest.

  21. Just a shout out to Makilio, even though I know he doesn't read these forums. :P You've been there whenever I needed you, though I don't know that you can say the same of me. You put up with my sporadic switching of games, you surpassed me in almost every way possible (except the crown :P), and yet you're still kind to me. You still give me advice on the quests I'm stuck on, you let me borrow the things I need to finally get that goal achieved, you're actually semi-excited when I gain a level I've been working for for a long time (or you fake it fairly well :P). You've always been there for me, even though I haven't been for you. So thanks. I'll always remember your kindness.
  22. Eh, the area's been updated and the stairs down are hard to find (in a house northeast of the house it used to be in); also the professor's on the second/first floor of the observatory (depends on whether your British or American :P). Thanks though.
  23. Regardless of whether or not that could count as a legal loophole, it would still be actioned against. It gives you an unfair advantage, and it's something you can control and someone (possibly you) designed for this purpose. Therefore, it would probably be actioned against, even if it's allowed via the exact literal interpretation of the rule.
  24. They have their ways. I'd explain more but it's confidential information; just let it be said that it's detected almost 100% of the time. Perhaps not always actioned against, but almost always detected. So don't do it. :P
  25. I just got a coordinate clue (requires watch, sextant, and chart) and I need to get the required items. According to the Tip.It guide, I can talk to the professor in the house north of the Observatory to get these items. But he's not there. Also, there's no way to get into the dungeon below that house to go to the Observatory and check for him there. I suspect the area was updated since the making of the Ti[.It guide, but that doesn't help me at the moment. Help please? I'd like to solve this trail tonight, but I'm stuck right now...
