Tip.It Times Presents: Functionality vs. Flash
Great read. I agree that gameplay is more important to graphics to me, however for a win-win situation Jagex should be updating both gameplay and graphics. I also agree that every town should have something interesting in it to make it worth a re-visit, and to make sure a town doesn't become a "quest town" *cough* Witchaven *cough*.

Just hit 67 Hunter! \ Black Salamanders in the Wilderness, interesting weapon. I got 70 Ranged earlier today, so now I can finally hunt/wield these crazy things. I don't think they're good weapons cause I never see anyone actually using them. It's fun to have a flamethrower though. Wielding a freshly-caught Black Salamander:

Woodcutting - 86 until 99.
Good luck with 99 Woodcutting. It was what I aimed for last summer, I stuck with yews all the way to 99. Took a few months, but I ended up with 30k+ yews in my bank. You can do it!

Dr Locust's Blog: Summer 2010
Just reached Level 70 Ranged! Making knives with Varrock Armor #3 (Love that armor ) Kicking some serious Ogre butt  This one ogre I was killing looked familiar. But I can't figure out where I've seen him before. I never realized how much new stuff opens up at Level 70 Ranged: Here are the charms that I received after killing ogres from Level 65 to Level 70 Ranged: Me ceremonially alching my red d'hide. Don't need it anymore since I have Black D'hide:

Building an Oubliette? (Answered. ty)
I have a construction question about the Oubliette room. So the Oubliette is a room that is supposed to be built underneath the throne room, if my throne room is on the ground floor and I don't have any underground rooms yet, how does it work? Basically do I have to start building stairs that lead down (like in a Quest room) then build rooms and navigate is so it lined up properly below the throne room? Just a little confused.

How Long Will It Take the Black Mask?
I have a feeling that many people have been hoarding them, buying multiple masks (10+ or so), once people see a slight drop in price (sign of the price peaking), I think everyone's going to sell masks and the market will be flooded with them. The price of the mask will come crashing down. Wish I took an economics class. :( What goes up must come down (applies to most things besides gasoline prices :P ). Just a prediction though. ;)

Runescape turns into Single Player. Could you survive ?
I wouldn't play. One of the biggest things that drew me to the game were the sheer number of people playing at once. Skills like Woodcutting and Fishing would be really boring for me if I didn't have conversations with people in order to pass the time.

"Perfect" Updates
I actually think that no update is perfect. Every update is bound get a particular group (skiller, low level, high level, you name it) upset. I think one of the best updates, however, are treasure trails, cause since they come in three different levels, nearly everyone can participate in them to have a shot at a decent reward. Out of the newer updates though, I appreciate the "Smoking Kills" update. I'm a big fan of quests, and I thought it was a pretty good quest with a nice reward. It also made Slayer a bit more refreshing (I was kind of getting bored of it) and it basically revived the skill for me.

how much do you remember?
I remember getting level 37 Prayer (Protect From Magic) on f2p from burying chicken bones. Just camped out at the chicken farm for a few days. I remember being so proud of the little icon that I could flash over my head!

Turoth task -.-
The sword is a rare-ish drop from Turoths and Kurasks. You can buy them from other players or through the Grand Exchange.

Mith Dragons?
I've heard good things about enchanted ruby bolts (dishing out 50 hp worth of damage) then switching to enchanted diamond bolts. I'm just curious, how many mithril dragons were you assigned?

Dr Locust's Blog: Summer 2010
Gained 3 Ranged levels by killing ogres (sorry Shrek). Ranged Level 68 now. :) My least favorite skill is actually kind of fun to train if you're using knives with Ava's Accumulator ("picks up" arrows/knives/darts for you, the arrows never actually leave your inventory). [Advice I got from the forums, I can't believe I was thinking about buying a Dark Bow for training, it's way too slow  ] I'm also racking up a decent amount of charms (gold especially) to help me get my summoning up.
