  1. Meh, no overloads in the wild. Dissapointing, but expected. <_< But I am glad to see that revs are getting some good drops.
  2. Get turm first, then ovls since you already (almost) got extremes.
  3. why should they try to appease a small minority? Because the small minority can shout really hard. If you're implying that the people that voted 'yes' and ranted about the Wilderness/Free Trade being taken away were a minority, then you're dead wrong. I'm implying that a same type of situation could arise as when free trade was removed, when a minority kept on ranting about it. I'm not saying that there's only a minority of the players that agree with the upcoming update.
  4. why should they try to appease a small minority? Because the small minority can shout really hard. Anyway, I'm interested in seeing what effects this will have on the market and what all the changes will be (regarding ovls, clue scrolls and such).
  5. Definitely. Will my stats change anything about this? (Look if you care.) Nah I don't care ;-)
  6. this. This is frustrating <_< One silly update and they accidentally the whole game
  7. Definitely.
  8. Agreed. I didn't expect such a high lvl monster. Time to break out the extremes then.
  9. Careful with such a silly argument, as it can be used against you in a court of reason. First, it's obvious that combat level does not reflect the ability to do damage. A level 126 from five years ago could not do anything near the damage (or resist it) of a level 126 of today. It is, and always will be, the equipment, food, potions, etc that determines true combat potential. Second, many, many things that impact combat potential are not related to one's combat skills (easy example are barrow gloves). Third, your argument would lose merit if the Chaotics had a level 40 atk/70 dng requirement. Better yet, Jagex could say one needed a 40 in all the direct combat skills (atk, rng, str, mag, def) to use overloads to undercut your silly pre-req argument. Reality is the combat level system is sorely broken. Pretty much, it only means anything as you gain 10 skill levels, as that gives you access to exponentially better equipment. Right now, a level 100 going against a level 100 does not tell you a darn thing. Jagex could easily put together a more fair set-up that takes into account what players actually carry and wield (food, potions, weapon and armor). Imagine this: the instant one walks into the wilderness they're given a virtual combat level for all three attack types based on not just skills but equipment and armor. However only the highest one shows above you. So, walk in with load of sharks, full torva, god sword and you'd have a combat level of 300+ in melee. Heck, pures advantage would be neutered because the system looks at their powerful weapons and adds it to their combat level. That's the ticket. Have Jagex revamp the combat level so it takes into account skills and carried equipment, then alter rules of wilderness based on that (maybe levels 1 to 100 now). I like the idea, but there could be problems depending on the way it works. If the combat level is determined when a player enters the wilderness and is fixed, people could find ways of exploiting this by going in and have someone else give them armour/weapons/other supplies to keep a low cb level. On the other hand, if the combat level remains flexible, someone's cb would decrease when he eats or drops his armour, making him unattackable by other players his cb level, meaning he could escape a fight by 'altering' his combat level.
  10. But that's not the point of the whole argument against overloads. The problem is that herblore doesn't add to your combat level, and neither does dungeoneering, but chaotics are allowed and overloads aren't. Also, to your argument, if they implement a system like the 'old wildy' you would probably be able to get your chaotic back from your death pile.
  11. It would still be against the rules. It would look suspicious when 2 accounts on the same IP, that have never been online at the same time, suddenly are online together for a few minutes just to make a trade.
  12. Same for me, except i don't have the arma part yet
  13. Epic. You brighten my day since I don't own a piece of ancient armour.
  14. Probably impossible to kill without banking first, which is awesome  To me it also implies that it will be hard getting the kc.
  15. Full set starts at 400m, just like the mage armour.
  16. So Nex is female? Who knew :P
  17. That sounds awesome :shades:
  18. most likely, yes. :)
  19. Items are only put in the GE when coinsharing, and I seriously doubt the pro teams will even consider coinsharing Nex. And why on earth would you keep your santa if you're low on money? :S
  20. In the long run, it would obviously be best to hold on to them and get the exp. yourself, but personally I let other people assist me in skills with which I can't open them. I would also recommend to use the lamps on some higher lvl skills, or wait till you get a higher RC level, because you'll get a lot more exp when your lvl is higher.
  21. I've always wonder, are super prayer worth it? You gain 10? more p.points at 99 for 41 per sip, but you loose the ability to have a cleaner inventory(i.e. yak holding prayer pots). Not to mention wyverns are a pain in my opinion, along side with grinding the bones. You could always just buy the bones, but you'll have to do the grinding yourself. Super prayer pots are definitely worth making, except when you really need the extra space from a yak, because it offers cheap herblore exp, since you are already going to use the pray pots anyway (and you get a nice p point boost ofc.).
  22. If you're using it anyway, I'd buy it back now. Chances are the prices will bounce back significantly soon, but it's really up to you when to buy back. If someone actually knew this information they'd be the richest player ever. I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the market lately, but if they are dropping solely because of the new torva armour they will start rebounding soon after it is released, because the majority of people selling it won't be able to get the new armour (if not sooner).
  23. I wonder what it takes to open that door. 40 kc from all gods? Also, isn't it strange that all the monsters in the first picture demby posted are attacking the player while he is wearing robes with a Zaros symbol on them? Just noticed the helm of the (presumably sprit mage) NPC is the same as that of the player, so I'd say he is wearing tarvo mage robes or at least the helm.
  24. Keep a charged glory on or have one in your house close to your altar, this way it doesn't mattere if you forget it once, and once you're in edge you'll know to take a duel ring from your bank. I'm training prayer too atm as follows: 1) tab to house 2) light burners 3) start offering all 4) take BoB when I have 18 free spaces 5) tele to castle wars 6) repeat Works for me.
