I flicked over to MTV the other day on the program guide and there wasnt a single bit on there from 11:00 - 3:00am which scheduled music. It was all Viva la Bam, South Park (really old ones) and Cribs.

I watched that the other day for the first time, what bit moved you to tears?

Something that's supernatural may not be able to be test things scientifically but you are able to determine the probability of something. And the probability of ghosts and psychics being real is probably less than the changes of winning the lottery even if you forgot to buy a ticket. Does anyone here know of the TV series Medium? Its based on the real life story of Allison DuBois who claims to have been able to solve detective cases by communicating with the dead. However I couldn't finsd a single validated case where she has actually been correct rather than a vague "over there-ish". edit: bah i was writing loads about her from my memory and found this webpage which explains far better than I could how much of a charlitan Allison is. On the subject of ghosts again people watch shows such as Most Haunted on LivingTV and belive this crap. Despite the fact that Derek Akorah has been exposed as a hoax several times and Yvette Fielding has been accused of making things up about things she heard or saw. Keeping on the subject of Derek Akorah and other mediums, they can be explained though simple cold reading. I am a member of the JREF, the James Randi Educational Fund which aims to expose frauds and charlitans for what they really are. Randi has offered a $1,000,000 prize for the first person to prove something supernatural, this can include dowsing for water, homeopathy, mind reading, speaking to the dead, ghosts etc, and not a single person has ever come close. In fact most high profile psychics outrightly refuse to take part because they know they will fail such as Sylvia "long nails" Browne.

Ive seen Good Bye Lenin and thought that was good, but I havn't seen Lola Rennt. Its wierd, but I don't really like ther German language to the films has to really be something special to keep my attention. Went and saw Pan's Labrynth (Spanish) last night and thought it was really amazing. Definite potential winner for the Best Foreign Language film as the academy awards this year. Might be watching A Very Long Engagement (French) tonight on DVD, but depends on how busy I am tonight. I also really want to see Perfume, I read about it in this TotalFilm magazine and saw a trailer for it yesterday at the cinema.

There's a program on in the UK tonight called The Secret Millionaire. Its a new TV series in which some of the UKs richest people go incognito into deprived areas of the country to try and help and then at the end of the episode give some money to the people who they feel deserve it the most. (i think, todays ep will be the first episode)

The actual function of adblock works fine, however it is badly coded extension which causes a myriad of memory leak issues and conflicts. Adblock should not crash Firefox no matter iof you have filters set or not, that is the issue we are debating.

The default configuration should run efficiently... but it doesnt.

Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo - In english I belive it mean "We children of Bahnhof Zoo" Its a really great film I certainly wasnt expecting it to be any good to be honest. Im not a fan of German films. Its very much like The Basketball Diaries in its premise but much better executed, possibly because of the better real life story behind it. Instead of Leonado Decaprio the film is based on a 14 year old girl in Berlin. One for Daan to see, if he hasnt done so already? ^_^

Wow, I didnt know that MTV even still played actual music on the channel. I thought they only showed reruns of South Park and crappy reality tv shows.

British anti-drugs commercials are very clever and much better than some of the "shock" ads used in the states.
