  1. Apparently finalists have been contacted. Someone copy and pasted something mod crow said. I don't have a message so looks like I wasn't successful :'(
  2. You can turn that off in the toolbar options.
  3. Yes some media people and fansite admins were invited for free. Not me though... i had to pay lol
  4. Let us know plz. I can try to use the Google App Inventor to make an app for android phones
  5. I NEED this on my phone (HTC Desire Android 2.1)
  6. With the leak on the old Runefest website saying it was going to be at the Olympia it seems more likely that there was a change in the focus of the event to something on a smaller scale. This enabled Jagex to refund the ticket cost. I do not believe that this was the intention from the start. Players get irritated at anything Jagex do.
  7. I think they shoud still charge next time and then if anyone is foolish enough to buy a ticket expecting a refund then serves them right when they don't
  8. Let's be honest. If Jagex gave the tickets for free at the beginning it would have sold out within minutes, mostly from people who have no real intention of actually going.
  9. I haven't decided yet if i'm just going to take pictures on my phone and mini digicam or to take my proper DSLR. My SLR takes much much better quality pictures despite having less megapixels (which are really just a marketing ploy) but it bulky and won't fit in my pocket. It will be fine around my neck for RuneFest but I don't wanna carry it around London with me in the evening, that's the dilemma. I will definitely be taking pictures though, Sluggy. I plan to "live tweet" from Runefest provided a) there is a mobile signal or wifi connection, and b) I remember. If I have a signal (the venue is underground) I will also be able to upload images to twitter direct from my phone. Follow me @Mercifull but no guarantee I will actually be able to post anything.
  10. All competitions now closed. Jagex will be contacting people by the end of the week if they are a finalist :) Good luck to everyone.
  11. Second one is clearly the best of the two. You are competing with me in this one. good luck :) As a Runefest ticket holder if you are in the final I will definitely be considering you :D
  12. Bah I totally did not know about this contest! I would have entered! Dang.. too late now I guess lol. There still just over 4 hours :P
  13. Closing date for the Golden Gnomes and art competition is today! Only a few hours left to get your entries in. *shameless plug for my own video :P*
  14. You have until the end of today to submit it, so you are well within the deadline :)
  15. Sorry, family emergency. I'm on now.

  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EucIh-0l6aw Please look at my video, 'like' it if you want and comment too :) I tried to so something a bit more original rather than like the myriad of similar videos about a person woodcutting or mining in real life. And if you are wondering why my eyes wander around a lot it's because I was trying to get the worm ready :P [/hide] [hide=Actual recipe]The cocktail was surprisingly nice. This is the actual recipe me and Suzi devised: Add 2 measures of whisky to a cocktail shaker. Then add 50g of chocolate (I used Cadburys). The "bucket" contained about 250ml of milk. The "equa" leaves were actually fresh mint. Give it a nice big shake in the mixer and pour it into a saucepan. Heat up the mixture stirring constantly until the chocolate melts and the milk goes chocolatey. Don't let it boil. After it has cooled down a bit pour it into your glass (I used a sundae glass) and then top it off with a layer of cream and a sprinkling of chocolate powder. Add a stirrer & straw and then drink. It really WAS delicious :D ... unlike the worm batta, yuck[/hide]
