Ahhh 1carrot, legend. Met him in the queue at the start, he recognised me cus of my tshirt. He was on his own so we kinda took him on into our little group and spent quite a bit of time with him during the day. I also saved him a space at the front of the audience for the Golden Gnomes. Little did I know that he would be the eventual winner :P The video footage he uploaded of him collecting his award was actually filmed by me hehe. The second live action video finalist wasn't for me, I didn't think it was that funny but kudos for dressing up and acting it out. My video clearly didn't impress Jagex enough, it wasnt shown in any of the montage clips nor has it been added to their playlist. *sadface*

Tree run initially, couldn't get 5 palms so I had to plant a couple if papaya too but its better than nothing. Then I'm going to make some potions, I think I've got about 6600 premixed pots ready for the 2nd to be added. After that perhaps agility, mining or dungeoneering not sure. I might be tired out by this point and go outside lol

Ahhh but didn't they say once that they dont like doing stuff that's already an achievement? Something to do with checks and databases etc. The firecape is reward for jad so he wouldn't be a task in a diary. I could be wrong though.

Most of the staff got the bus from Jagex to London on the morning of the event. It would be very expensive to fly everyone.

You could have flown from Aalborg to Gatwick for this years fairly cheaply :P there were three danes in the group I was with hehe

He was hired in, I can't remember the exact details but he used to be a host on MTV somewhere in Europe. Apparently he felt more of a star at Runefest then he ever did while on TV. His name is Thierry Levy... but for one day he truly was a real life Party Pete :D

I think people are taking what I said earlier the wrong way. The event was fantastic and I am hugely thankful for all the work put in by various members of staff from community management, to audio, to content development. There were also a lot of very senior people there giving their valuable time to make it a success. I am very happy they were there and I think that whatever the amount of time it took preparing and rehearsing etc was moat definitely worth it. I am only repeating what MMG said about maybe making it smaller next time. The way this has blown into a massive argument on the forums is ridiculous. Can we please just get back to sharing pics and stories now?...
