Lol'd. Technically your father isn't your guardian unless you can prove he's your father, and even though the account is yours, they see it as the money in your account is still under the responsibility of your parents until you are no longer a minor. That's what I think. I can prove he's my father, but he just isn't legally my guardian. Weird but true. Though it's a bit funny that it took him over 15 years to find that out.

I tried to withdraw some money from my bank account today. I can't believe how hard it can be. I don't have a bank card which I could use to withdraw money from an ATM machine. So I walked in the bank and asked to withdraw 270 from my account (to pay for my new computer which I will hopefully get this week). They asked me for an ID. I don't have an ID with a photo on it, so they also checked that it really belonged to me by asking some questions like my address. Then they said that because I'm underage, I need to have a guardian with me. No problem I thought. A bit later I came back with my father. BUT, they told me that my father isn't actually legally my guardian (yeah, he's only lived with my mother since 1993 and certainly has been my guardian since I was born... but for some weird reason not legally). This was a surprise for both me and my father. Of course my mother (who is my only legal guardian) is at work until five every day this week and the bank closes 30 minutes earlier, so there was nothing I could do. How damn hard can it be to withdraw money from a bank account? The account is 100% mine after all, so I can't understand why I even need a guardian with me. For some reason I could withdraw money from the account last summer, when I also went there with my father. I just can't understand this. :wall:

I was going to suggest removing your keyboard for a while but as you have a laptop that's probably not the best option. xD What program did you use for your virus scan? Your anti-virus program or a separate anti-malware program?

I've been a Firefox user since summer 2006 and version 1.5. I'm currently using version 3.7, which is still in beta. I hate Chrome because of its idiot menu. It's just a lot of unnecessary clicking (I use the menu bar really often) to have a few dozen extra pixels available. I think Opera is available for Linux, but I like Firefox's plugins so much that I'm not going to switch.

Hmm... in the school I'm going to later this year they give netbooks to new students. I don't know if they have webcams or not... not that it matters anyway because I'm going to use Arch Linux without any useless drivers. This thing sounds bad. I really hope something is done to end this. :/
