Does anyone else think about this?
One thing that is really great in Finland is that education is paid with tax money - everybody gets equal education, no matter if you're rich or poor.

Best Linux Distribution
Arch Linux is what I've used for almost a year now. Great for a hacker (by hacker I mean an advanced computer user, not a criminal) like me. It's basically a DIY distro, it gives the kernel and package manager but not much else and then you can install whatever you want. It also always has the newest versions of software (which is not always a good thing, sometimes, though very rarely the system breaks, but the community is really helpful so it rarely is a big problem) unlike, for example, Ubuntu, in which the software is generally updated when the OS itself is.

Your keyboard usage
The older models have been sold in Finland, but I haven't seen newer ones anywhere. There are a few other keyboards with blank keys though. That's weird, I've never had any problems with my Wacom.

Your keyboard usage
I've never used the right shift key :|

Your keyboard usage
Yeah, it's the same for me. Most of my computer skills are a result of trying things. Would look even better if I cleaned it, it has a lot of dust on it right now

Your keyboard usage
Well, this is a topic about keyboards. Not only about the different models, but also their usage. Even though most computer users use the mouse almost always, most things can be done with a keyboard too. Usually the keyboard is actually faster, but requires more practice. Then of course many games use the keyboard. Some keyboards have macro keys and other extra stuff. Then there are some weird keyboards. Anyway, I have a few questions for you: 1. What kind of a keyboard do you use? (ergonomic, gaming, something completely different?) 2. How much do you use the keyboard? Do you often use it instead of the mouse? 3. How fast can you type? (a link to a typing speed test is included at the bottom, if you haven't done one already) 4. Anything else worth mentioning? And my answers: 1. What kind of a keyboard do you use? (ergonomic, gaming, something completely different?) I have a Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate. Costs a lot (136 with shipping - they're not sold in Finland, so I had to order mine from Germany), but it's extremely good to type on and lasts much longer than normal keyboards. It's quite noisy too (it's mechanical), but I'm used to it already. A great thing about this keyboard is that it accepts an unlimited amount of keys at once, while most high-end keyboards only accept six and cheaper ones even less. It doesn't include much extra stuff, only two USB ports and media keys (as left win+F-key combinations). 2. How much do you use the keyboard? Do you often use it instead of the mouse? My system can be used with keyboard only, but I still use the mouse often. I type a lot though, and I'm also an amateur programmer, so much keyboard usage is quite high. 3. How fast can you type? (a link to a typing speed test is included at the bottom) Around 70-90 WPM, depending on the text. Probably could write 100+ WPM if I learned to touch type :) 4. Anything else worth mentioning? I'm one of the very few computer users who use the Dvorak layout. It takes time to learn but feels better than Qwerty to type with. A few links: GeekHack forums - lots of talk about keyboards TypeRacer, a typing test/game If you know any more good links, I'll add them to the list :)

frames-per-second..
With some computers (like mine) HD is actually faster as it uses the graphics card while SD doesn't. I have around 15-20 FPS with safe mode and minimum graphics while OpenGL with max graphics runs at 50 FPS. However as the OP's computer is quite old this probably isn't the case.

Yeah, it was added today, but it doesn't do much.

Lolicon
Should be legal, as I've heard it actually decreases the amount of real CP. I'm too tired to search for a link right now though. Also what exactly counts as lolicon? Do the girls have to actually be underage or just look like one? How about girls that are underage but don't look like it? Or alien girls who are childs until they're 500 years old? Girls in manga and anime always look younger than they actually are anyway... And how realistic do the characters have to look? Can a stick figure be CP? I would laugh like crazy if someone got arrested for drawing stick figures  So yeah, too hard to control and no real reason to do so.

Your Unique Talents
- My memory is awesome, but I can't remember things I really try to remember. I've learned a lot of English words from games, TV programs and internet forums, but I can't learn them from a schoolbook. (that's why I never open schoolbooks at home, except the psychology book which I find really interesting) - I have a reversed absolute pitch, I can quite accurately produce a specific pitch (by humming for example) but can't recognize them as well. I discovered this just yesterday... - My math skills are really great, in my 9 years of mandatory school I got at least 95% of points from all except one exam. However I can't remember formulas or abbreviations. So I have a few great skills, but every single one has a drawback. :wall:

Take that WoW :)
Or add a bookmark... 1 click winner is me. Ctrl+L - R - Down - Enter. Don't even need the mouse. Dunno if it works in browsers other than Firefox though. (what this does: Ctrl+L - select address bar, pressing R gives a list of visited URLs with R in them, RS is on top because it's the one I've visited the most, Down and Enter selects and goes to the page. )

What language do you think in?
Usually in Finnish, sometimes in English. Sometimes I just... think.

In your dreams...
I've had exactly one lucid dream in the beginning of summer, took me about a week to get it but haven't gotten any more in over two months :( I probably need to concentrate more on it... I already told about it in the earlier thread, but in the dream I was in school, suddenly realized that it's summer and then decided to fly around the school. The feeling was AWESOME. I've also gotten a few half lucid dreams. One night I had three very very short lucid dreams where I woke up the instant I realized it was a dream. One night I had a really weird dream in which I knew it wasn't real but didn't realize it was a dream :wall: By the way I certainly know what I'm doing the next time I get a lucid dream :)

Luck Streaks
I'm quite unlucky too, at least with monsters. Not a single dragon drop in almost four years of being a member. Also I killed hundreds of cave horrors without a single mask and then I got three in about 100 kills. But they don't sell anymore, and I have no need for three black masks :( I'm lucky with TT's though, I quite often get 250k+ from level 3s and rarely under 100k :)

Back in my day...
Back in my day there was no sound in low detail. Back in my day one Pest Control game took around 30 seconds with a good team. Back in my day you didn't get an easy 20k on a new account from the strongholds. Back in my day all members wore dragon when they came to a F2P world. Back in my day the only Lumbridge mine (the one with better ores) was in the eastern part of the swamp, and you had to enter the swamp from Draynor, where the closest bank was too. Back in my day everyone with a 99 skill was respected. There were no "noob skills". Back in my day you could complete Shield of Arrav by buying a certificate from a general store and giving it to the king. You didn't need a friend. Back in my day rune essence was 30 gp each and you bought it at the Varrock east bank.

Best names you've seen on runescape?
I like my main's name "Thunderforce" (got after the name update) and my skiller "Luftballons" (got it before the update) :)

The best skill in the game
Dungeoneering is pretty much a glorified minigame. Magic, and combat in general, can be used in other minigames like SC, Clan wars, Castle wars, PVP, etc. And while the actual training of the skill is generally more grindy than dungeoneering, i for one think its much more fun for the skill, not the training of the skill. 5 Minigames > 1 Minigame :shades: That bullet looks tasty, I'll think I'll bite it. What's wrong with it being a minigame? It's the most glorified and complex piece of content we've seen so far, and being level 67 at the time of typing, I still haven't got bored with it. It's likely that the Occult floors will be released at around the same time as I can open the first one, so the new content doesn't stop. Also having level 67 Slayer at the time of typing, I have got bored with that skill already. It's only interesting some of the time, but when I have to train on a vanilla monster like fire giants in a non-descript cave for hours, I just get bored out of my skull. EDIT: In short, Dungeoneering is my favourite skill. However, I wish Hunter got a bit more love from Jagex, it's got a lot of untapped potential. I feel that Dungeoneering still lacks that final polish, which we will hopefully get in the new patches. The main problems are that the dungeons always look the same (if you're playing on the same kind of floor that is), and that at lower levels you get basically no rewards. Anyway, good job Jagex, you've made a really enjoyable skill ;)

The F2P General Discussion Thread
So I thought my skiller's cooking level was quite low (23 lol), and decided to train it a bit. Got this in three days: [hide][/hide] Yeah, maybe not extremely awesome, but it's still higher than my main's cooking (66 after five years of playing, four of them as a member... ). It's somehow more fun to train it on a lvl 3.
