  1. Luckily I have this bookmarked :)
  2. Did anybody know that this page still exists? The picture is a few months old, took this on the day the halloween event was released but forgot to post it earlier. Here is a link to the page :)
  3. How in the [bleep]? I am very very confused. Lol. How old is the screenie? It says it on the report abuse button 26-12-2010
  4. C++ is what I use. It's quite hard, and I'm not very good yet, but I can do basic stuff and some more complex things too. The only drawback is that I use Linux, and if I want to share anything with my friends, I need to recompile the programs on Windows. Java is good if you want your programs to work on all operating systems easily. I don't know much about Java, but I've heard that it's easier than C++. Someone else can probably tell you about it :) Python isn't good for "real" programming in my opinion, but I sometimes use it for scripts. It can be used for larger programs, but as it requires the interpreter, Python programs are harder to share. Python is very easy to learn though.

Arch Linux runs on pretty much anything, but if you haven't used Linux before, you probably can't even install it. Damn Small Linux is also very lightweight, but it's also quite hard to actually install - it's usually ran from a USB stick or CD. It also has really outdated programs. Xubuntu is something you could try. It's easy to install, but it may not work well on a computer that old. Firefox probably runs on it. It's a weird program - the slower your computer is, the less resources it uses. (150 MB+ RAM on my quite new computer, half of that on my friend's ten year old comp) I don't know if OpenOffice works or not, but for word processing Abiword is quite good. It's really light too, unlike OpenOffice.
  6. 250, some candy and clothes. I have ~500 right now, time to buy the electric guitar I've wanted for months :)
  7. Much more players voted at the beginning, and the more votes there already is, the less the percentages will change. That's why all big changes would have happened at the very beginning of the voting and the percentages are so stable now.
  8. It's a fake, you can't see moderator forums without logging in
  9. Found this. NOTE: MAY BE A FAKE Edit: nvm, it was a fake
  10. PvP worlds with old drop system (you get what your opponent has)? How about that?
  11. I've been here since 2006, didn't post much in 2006-2007 though.
  12. I hosted a server for me and my friend and we played for hours. There was a huge cave near our starting location, and it took us ~2 hours to explore it. I haven't had this much fun with any game for a while.
  13. I found a lava lake deep underground and some diamonds (!) behind it. I made myself a diamond sword and went to adventure a bit. After about two (in-game) days, I fell into a cave, in which a zombie killed me. Luckily I still have three diamonds left... I'm going back to that cave and I'll kill every single moving thing and reclaim my sword. (and so Notch claims yet another victim...)
  14. Bought it. This game is even more fun than I thought :)
  15. I decided to finally buy this game. 10 isn't too much and I want to get it before beta. I'm really surprised of how popular this game has become. It was much smaller when I started playing in May (2010).
  16. One reason could be that complex stuff like this takes all fun out of the game. If everyone knew which weapon is the best, everyone would use just that single weapon, and all the fun that comes from trying different stuff would be gone. Players care too much about efficiency anyway. I don't find that fun. Of course this is just my opinion.
  17. Interesting articles. The second one especially - it doesn't just apply to Runescape, but to real life as well. Certainly something to think about :)
  18. I have several accounts with 1 mining and woodcutting. One of them even has an easter ring. But I think I am the only player who still has a pickaxe handle :)
  19. Someone from RSOF found this, looks like Lumby swamp is going to be updated :) (game guide > what is runescape > screenshots)
  20. No, you won't lose anything, no matter how long the break is.
  21. I'm almost 100% sure it's not allowed, however it's pretty much impossible for Jagex to detect advert blocking.
  22. AMFG SELL FOR BILLIONZ :ohnoes: It will disappear if I try to take it out :( (I bought several handles in separate slots, so I'm sure about it - unless they have removed that feature as it's quite useless now :P)
  23. A year and eight months since their removal and I still have one in GE :D
  24. OpenGL / DirectX with all graphics set to minimum is even faster than safe mode used to be.
