Any RPG PC gamers out there?
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a pretty decent game too. It works a bit differently from traditional RPGs, but it's pretty solid.

- Lessar Demon Guide - Levels 60-65 - Members
Moved to beginning guides. While the idea is nice, this still needs a lot of work to warrant a place in the general guides subforum. Even if you're just going to focus on one area, I suggest including maps of the area, other equipment options (including explanation on why that equipment should be used), and tips on using other combat styles. A good place to start would be the various stickies of this subforum. -Necromagus, Tip.It mod.- Opinions on Revenants?
I train a lot at the green dragons near the teleportation pad at level 35 wilderness. At my current combat level the orks and knights that usually float around in that area leave me alone. The biggest threat are the werewolves and vampires. Both can easily three-hit me when I'm not paying attention. Because I range the dragons in a single combat zone and because they attack from quite a distance away, I usually get the "I'm already under attack" message a few seconds in advance, giving me plenty of time to run for the teleportation pad. If I get teleblocked I usually try to lure them onto the pad, activate it, and run away. Either way they're a painful nuisance, because they always force me to switch worlds. They can easily kill me if I'm not paying attention, and they're the only reason I take food with me at all.- Inconsistency? (Dragon Square Shield and Dragon Platebody)
First of all, you shouldn't expect too much logic in a fantasy game. Second of all, let's look at these dragon items. The dragon square shield comes in two halves, and all that you're doing is repairing it. You're not smelting the metal, hammering it into shape, and putting together the pieces. You're just repairing a crack. The dragon plate is made using a special tool at a special forge, so you can't compare that to smithing regular smithing either.- Bank Networth?

Alright, I'll try to give some non-conventional answers. I could spout off on the glories of Fallout and Commander Keen, but those are way too obvious. Traffic Department 2192: This was, for me, the first game where I actually paid attention to the story. It was a fairly mundane top-down space shooter, but the story was absolutely brilliant. Each mission was linked to the next by lengthy dialogues that were incredibly well written. What also helps is that the main character has some serious issues with pretty much everybody around her. There were some adult themes (nothing graphic, some text), but they all made sense within the story and it was never just profanity for profanity's sake. One Must Fall 2097: A 2D fighting game for the PC that featured huge robots in stead of humans. The game played incredibly smoothly and because of 11 robots that were distinctly different from each other it never really seemed to get old. Besides the standard arcade mode that every fighting game has, it also came with a tournament mode that allowed you to fight up various ladders to earn cash to train your pilot and upgrade your robot. You can even unlock special enhancements such as special moves that can be performed in the air or being able to launch multiple projectiles at once by beating hidden opponents. A fully upgraded tournament bot was also much faster than a regular bot, which meant that they had way more options to do combos. Street Shuffle: A Windows 3.1 puzzle game that was all about... shuffling streets. The premise is just completely random. In the future, streets are built on plates that can rearrange themselves so people will always take the shortest route. However, your taxi has been outfitted to hack this system, allowing you to take longer paths and make more money. This money buys you fuel, repairs (if you don't have a fully formed path by the time you start, you'll crash) and special upgrades such as shocks and snow tires.- new lvl3 rewards
Nothing much to see here it seems. As others have said, this is a known clue reward. If you want to discuss clue drops further, I suggest using the relevant sticky. Necromagus, Tip.It Mod.- Tormented Wraiths - Nine+40
No. This ends right now. SirHemen - People are free to rate what they want. As you should have realized about three pages ago, badgering people for higher ratings is not a way to get them. People have given their reasons for rating 'only' 7/10, and there comes a point where you should just accept that. Everybody else, especially craven_range - Those nifty little []'s around certain words in your posts mean that they're not acceptable on TIF and also mean that you're probably taking this argument too far to the point where it's endangering the health of your Tip.It Forums account. I'm fairly sure you're all capable of getting your point across without resorting to swearing and name calling. To nobody in specific - As much fun as it is to egg each other on in these kinds of arguments, cleaning up the big stink afterwards isn't nearly as entertaining for us moderators. If a thread is getting a little bit toasty, it would be best for all involved to just report whatever posts are sending off sparks and back away quietly to let a professional handle them. This thread is a good example of what happens if you don't: The mods didn't arrive in time and all the flames going back and forth have reduced it to a charred, withered husk of its former self that has to be put out of its misery with a swift lock. -Necromagus, Tip.It mod.- Mechscape.

Fallout 3 downloadable content revealed. The Anchorage scenario looks boring as hell. The BoS scenario could be interesting, although playing within the confines of the brotherhood doesn't seem to fit with the whole choose your own play style philosophy. I'm a bit worried about this infestation :? [hide=][/hide]- Okay college students/alums---fraternities, yay or nay?
Over here we don't have fraternities/sororities in the way American universities have, but we do have student clubs. Student clubs usually have their own building with a private bar for members, where activities are held and members can have drinks and meals. Some smaller clubs share a single building or are open only a few days a week. Some are incredibly hierarchical, with hazing, dress codes, ritualized fights to settle disputes and members split into clubs along gender or year lines and mandatory kitchen or cleaning duty for freshmen. Others are far more free. The student club I'm a member of (VSL Catena) has about 600 members and is open seven days a week, from 2pm until the last person leaves the bar. We have a high speed network with top of the line computers sponsored by a local computer store and maintained entirely by members, a separate movie room with a bar, 24 cinema-style seats and a large silver screen. Monday night is gaming night (usually Wii, occasionally 360, with other consoles hooked up in the TV room). Tuesday and Sunday nights have free movies for members, with a Hollywood movie on Tuesday and an arthouse movie on Sunday. The TV room is basically a bunch of couches, a massive TV (not flatscreen unfortunately :P), a SNES, and a bunch of ashtrays (after the smoking ban we had to create a separate smoking area, this was the cheapest solution). The main bar is stocked with ~30 kinds of beer thanks to another sponsoring contract, all offered at about 50% of standard bar prices. At 6.30 each day there's a three course meal for 3. The bartending and cooking is done by our own members. Every Thursday night there's a party in the main area, which has the most expensive light, sound and video rig of all the city's student clubs. Furthermore there's all sorts of activities members can participate in, including a gallery where you can display your own art, a dark room where you can print your own photos, a rig to print your own t-shirts, and of course stuff like board games and organized sports.- Black Friday... pulli23 has written an excellent guide on protection against phishing, and you would be wise to take a gander at it.- TIFcon
I've had TIFcons in August this year (San Francisco, three people), November last year (Leiden, two people) and in the summer of... 2005 I think (Amsterdam, four people). Before you all start complaining about classmates and stuff, all three cons involved plane travel.- Fallout 3

Most types of power armor give +2 strength and -2 agility. I've reached level 20 on my first character, and I'm pretty much unstoppable thanks to the right combination of perks: Commando, Finesse, Sniper, Concentrated Fire, Action Girl and Grim Reaper's Sprint. Commando gives an accuracy boost to all two-handed weapons (rifles, combat shotgun, etc.); Finesse gives +5 Luck for the purpose of checking for critical hits, Sniper gives an accuracy bonus to head shots in VATS; concentrated fire gives +5% accuracy for each time you target a body part after the first; Action Girl gives 25 extra AP and Grim Reaper's Sprint completely refills AP after getting a kill in VATS. These perks, combined with a hockey mask that gives another 25 AP, maxed Small Guns and Energy Weapons skills and the unique laser rifle mean that pretty much anything that has a head and isn't a behemoth gets killed from half a mile away.- Windows 7 Pre-Beta!
