  1. I'm going to take a guess here... you hit your head a few times on the way down? :-w Anyway, no, I haven't tried it. However, when I was 8-9, my parents used to take me and my siblings to the Ardennes for a few days each winter, where there are large hills where cattle graze during the summer. Perfect for sleighing, although even an ordinary plastic bag works just fine.
  2. When I read the topic title I immediately thought of Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden  Anyway, I don't have that many flood stories to share. We've always lived in the part of the country that's above sea level and away from the rivers.
  3. Ayreon - The Dream Sequencer (in wallpaper format :)
  4. After Forever - Monolith Of Doubt After Forever - My Pledge of Allegiance I After Forever - Emphasis After Forever - Intrinsic After Forever - Zenith After Forever - Estranged After Forever - Imperfect Tenses After Forever - My Pledge of Allegiance II After Forever - The Key After Forever - Forlorn Hope After Forever - Line Of Thoughts I listen in shuffle mode generally, but my playlist is still neatly sorted (All my music indexed in folders Artist Name - Album title, files sorted by path), so it's all of After Forever - Decipher followed by the first song of After Forever - Exordium :P
  5. Although I haven't been able to find any pictures of it, the various drumkits used by Kita, the drummer of Lordi, all have at least one flamethrower or other lethal weapon attached to it. It's fairly convenient in it's basic design, but still a great part of their live shows.
  6. Yes. I will gladly share one of the most personal and painful moments of my life with a complete stranger from the internet.
  7. I still do it, even though it led to one of the most embarassing moments of my life a while back. Won't share it with you, as it's kind of inappropriate for these boards.
  8. I don't. I've spent several hours working on it, and it's very dear to me. If you'd have asked, I'd gladly make you a similar sig with the tileset .psd I've made. As it stands, yes, I guess I am one of the freakos.
  9. Note that Lilah is a fictional character :shame:
  10. Ghost can't be a girl. He's repeatedly professed his love for Oblivion. Girls and Oblivion are like matter and antimatter. They can't come into contact without the world ASPLODING.
  11. Archaeology of Indian America and Human Origins.
  12. I don't speak Swedish, so I doubt I helped you with that translation :-w Back on topic:
  13. Thanks for not asking permission for that  Anyway, yes, used to think that he was a girl. I'd say he weighs as much as one from what I've seen :-w
  14. So that makes it alright then? For the love of smeg... If the defense of all good, means being tough then damnit so be it! Ugh... let me explain my point in a metaphor that might relate to you a little more. This is you --> This is little Timmy --> :D One day, little Timmy suddenly turns into  He starts you. This makes you sad. You think Timmy is evil for you. In retaliation, you start with Timmy. Timmy stops you. This makes you happy. Then you realize that Timmy makes you no better than Timmy was when he was you. This makes you sad. In fighting Timmy, you have become Timmy. It's ok if that went over your head, I used a lot of jargon.
  15. I'm sorry, I really have to ask - do you just sling your fist in the general direction of the letters you want to type and hope something sensible comes out? Anyway, these terrorists are attacking not just America, but the American way of life. The American way of life is freedom. Freedom from, among other things, fear of being arrested without a chance to defend yourself in a court of law and fear of being subjected to cruel and unusual punishments. If you take that freedom away, from your own citizens or from people living abroad, you're taking away from the American way of life. Which is exactly what the terrorists want to do.
  16. The same way the US has always kept itself safe. Diplomacy. Infiltration. Surveillance. Anything allowed within national and international law. Whatever we know from 'interrogating' Gitmo prisoners obviously hasn't been enough to capture any major terrorist leader or prevent any major attack. If it had been enough, don't you think it would've been all over the news? I'm sure that arbitrary executions would eventually get some people to talk. Not because they know anything, just to make the killing stop. I have a question for you: If you stoop to the terrorists' level to beat them, have you really won?
  17. 1) They released him without charges even being made. There'd be no point releasing him if there was even a remote chance that he was guilty. 2) He was captured by Afghan warlords and then handed to the US army without a warrant being out for him. The warlord's claim that he was a terrorist was all that was needed. 3) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guantanamo_Bay_detainment_camp#Released_Prisoners - At a quick glance, I'd say dozens.
  18. So, anybody up for a game?
  19. most normal teenage boys have the same feeling \harmones ftw?hormones?I'm not technically a teenage boy anymore... well, by two weeks I guess. But it wasn't a graphic dream of any kind, it's just that the person in the dream would probably see it, and she has certain... powers :-$
  20. My last dream would probably get me banned, whether I'd describe it or MSPaint it... :-w
  21. Hrm... I'm going to take a guess here and say that people aren't answering your questions because you type them out like a drunken chimpanzee. Anyway, I'll tell you why the US shouldn't resort to interrogation methods that can be considered torture. The whole reason for this war is that terrorists threaten the 'American way of life'. This 'American way of life' is centered around some very basic principles, most of which have been recorded in the constitution. Now, from what I understand, the US was at one time supposed to be a refuge (something about tired, poor and huddled masses) for people who are opressed for any reason at all. Land of the free and all that. When you throw those principles out the window like congress has done now, you don't need terrorists attacking your 'American way of life', as you've effectively abolished them yourself.

At least he always stuck to his principles, unlike most revolutionaries. For example, when his wife needed to go to the hospital for a minor examination, he refused her to use his car, because it would be robbing the people if she used a governement vehicle for private use. He was also known for rejecting expensive gifts from other leaders because it would mean he'd put himself ahead of the people. Also, a lot of people seem to forget that Batista was hardly a saint either. As chief of staff for president Grau (who was put into place through the Seargants' Revolt of 1931) he violently put down several attempts to break his control, and he repeatedly executed people even after they surrendered. He became president in 1952 by overthrowing the democratically elected president Socarras.
  23. http://www.everyone-dies.com/ For only ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã10 / $17.50 / ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì14 you can discover what "10-20 million losses... depending on the breaks." felt like to General Turgidson. You can't spell 'screwed' without 'Launch Detected' 8-) Anyone with a nukeporn fetish (~edit: Leaving this text in for humor value : ) or just wanting a general idea of what it felt like to be a commander in the time of the cold war should at least try out the demo. The system specs (Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Pentium 3 Processor, 600 MHz, 128 MB RAM, GeForce2 video card, 60 MB HD), low price, multiplayer options and the ability to reduce the earth to a radioactive clump of dirt make this the RADDEST videogame ever :D Anyone up for a multiplayer game? Note to mods: This isn't an advertising thread but a discussion thread for the RADDEST videogame ever.
