  1. Haggard: The Observer Haggard: Eppur Si Muove Two songs by the German band Haggard (current lineup: 16 musicians) that uses symphonic instruments and vocals in music that combines classical elements with death metal roots. All their albums are based on late medieval history (The inquisition, Nostradamus, Galilei). The soprano in Eppur Si Muove gives me shivers : Also, their albums generally have instrumental interludes that are composed according to actual classical 'rules', such as menuetts.
  2. That was fast  Gj Necro. And to give the people who don't know a ton about music a hint: I assume Magritte is the artist. edit: no, it's probably Paul Delvaux? Argh, I am making a fool of myself. Necro, help me out of this mess please :) Jef Bertels
  3. A spare bed (folded up), a matress, piles of old school papers, boxes of lego, a box of old computer parts and about six feet of rope :anxious:
  4. Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump Hint: This painting is the original image for the album cover, so it's exactly identical except for the lack of text. All of this band's album covers are paintings by the same Belgian artist.

Time Splitters 3 has the largest multiplayer mode available in GC shooters. 14 game modes, 100+ player skins, a metric bucketload of weapons and over a dozen maps. I'd go with that one. It's only ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì19,95 at my local gamestore, so it shouldn't set you back too much.
  6. Just wanted to try something new. I first drew a tileset into a sepperate .psd (it has some stuff not shown in this sig), and then it was a simple matter of ctrl+v'ing everything into place without getting lost in the 30+ layers and drawing the text. About five hours of work altogether. I might make a few more later, and make a random sig. It has a black border, but it's not showing in SubBlack. Thoughts?
  7. Look, this isn't about age, it's about maturity. You could have said something about adultery, and why you think it's the worst sin. That way you'd have contributed to the debate in a mature manner. In stead, you chose to leave a message that contributed nothing to the topic and only seemed to surve the purpose of you telling to the world that you have had sex with your girlfriend's mother and/or sister. Combined with your zero-effort spelling (honestly people, is 'you' that much harder to type than 'u'? Has capitalization become so demanding an effort that it should just be skipped?), this gives people the impression that you have the maturity of someone who is roughly fourteen years old.
  8. With my *very* basic understanding of linguistic principles, I'd really like to know how English and 'American' are supposed to be different languages. Some of the words have a slightly different meaning to different people, some of the spelling is different (flavour vs. flavor, etc.) and new words are used to reflect local culture and customs. Other than that, the two languages are exactly the same. The rules of grammar are identical, and about 99.98% of the words still share a meaning. General 'American' probably isn't even different enough to be considered a dialect of English... kind of a non-issue really.

Some info on filling the roster gaps from monday night's Smackdown! tapings: Hardcore Holly pinned Simon Dean in a dark match; Elijah Burke (Sylvester Turkay's cornerman from last week) wrestled Scott Wright, Montel Vontavious Porter (from Deep South Wrestling) cut a promo with Teddy Long and KC James and Aaron The Idol Stevens debuted as a tag team managed by Michelle McCool in a match against Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty. Also, The Undertaker seems to be returning to regular competition, wrestling a main event with world heavyweight champion King Booker.
  10. If it's the one you were wearing during the London Marathon? If so, I already have it saved :-w
  11. Those are some very basic tactics used in Infomercials. People that don't use the product advertised[*:37j6l9g9]Are shown in black and white [*:37j6l9g9]Are fat and/or ugly [*:37j6l9g9]NEVER smile [*:37j6l9g9]Are clumbsy [*:37j6l9g9]Live in houses that are little more than disorganized death traps [*:37j6l9g9]Are clearly frustrated by the void in their life that can only be filled by the product, yet are too stupid to actually buy itPeople that use the product however, are basically the opposite. Just watch the commercials for fitness tapes or machines. 99% of the time the person demonstrating the machine will already have what viewers are supposed to accept as the perfect body. Morbidly obese people are never shown using the product being sold. Only occasionally you will see someone with a less than perfect body, but only in the role of "oh my god I feel prettier already, where can I get one?".

  13. A new Big Brother? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. As someone who occasionally finds himself staying up past 1am, I can't help but watch the occasional infomercial, since they are broadcasted on certain channels after broadcasting hours. Now I know that the Americans and Japanese members of this forum will probably see the most ridiculous stuff, but a few nights ago I saw something that really made me wonder if I hadn't eaten something that was making me hallucinate (mushroom soup for dinner). The product was called 'The Doggystep'. At ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì49,95, your precious pooch, riddled with the ravages of old age, will regain full access to the couch, the bed and your lap. Feel free to share your favourites :)
  15. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. Satanism 100% atheism 92% Paganism 92% Buddhism 83% agnosticism 79% Islam 54% Judaism 46% Hinduism 42% Christianity 17%

A few small tidbits: Cody Runnels, son of Dusty Rhodes and halfbrother of Goldust, has signed a development deal that sends him to work in OVW. Meanwhile, the adopted son of Superfly Jimmy Snuka is expected to make his WWE debut on SmackDown! somewhere in the next two months.

That doesn't change a thing. Bret Hart had more in-ring ability in his left pinky than Goldberg had shown in his entire career. He's the only high profile professional wrestler who has wrestled an entire career without causing so much as a bruise on his opponent. He was also one of the most over faces the WWE (then WWF) has ever known. All Goldberg has is muscle, and he has injured more wrestlers in his career than he has had good matches.
  20. Ehrm... what? Are you asking for a local band?
  21. Liberals generally focus on expanding freedoms (freedom to read what you want, freedom to marry who you want, etc.), while conservatives generally aim to conserve what they consider to be 'wholesome traditional values' like marriage between a man and a woman, woman's first duty is to her family, etc.. Most of the times these values are based in the bible, but not always.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with the fact he couldn't do any technical wrestling moves, which he admitted in his autobiography. Aside from the fact that Om_S doesn't seem to know how a wrestling match works, Goldberg should be drawn and quartered simply for ending Bret Hart's career prematurely -.-
  23. *Fluffles AdBlock* : (I know it's not the best solution, but it works for lazy bums like me :anxious: )
  24. Already listening occasionally :P (Btw, Rob is actually Futurama on these boards, so he's not a complete stranger  )

Looks like Smackdown! is going down in flames. Matt Hardy is taking time off due to health reasons, Kid Kash is suspended due to drug issues and Tatanka is going to be taken out too. The list (in no particular order): Chris Benoit: Taking an indefinite sabbatical due to shoulder problems. The Boogeyman: Had surgery April 4 to repair a left bicep tear; out for a minimum 4 months. Randy Orton: Switched to RAW without explanation after finishing his two month suspension. Kurt Angle: Drafted to ECW. Paul Burchill: Required and completed knee surgery, in recovery now The Great Khali: Elevated liver enzyme problems Mark Henry: Tore patella tendon completely off the bone and split his patella in two; estimated to be out for at least 8 months. Hardcore Holly: Has a serious staph infection after having undergone arm surgery; last appearance was on November 20. Kid Kash: Suspended due to drug related issues. Bobby Lashley: Elevated liver enzyme problems. Kristal Marshall: Injured at The Great American Bash; dislocated her ribs. Joey Mercury: being sent to drug rehab. Jamie Noble: Taken off the road since he's teaming with Kash. Super Crazy: Elevated liver enzyme problems. The Gymini: Stopped competing for unknown reasons. Gunner Scott: Sent back to OVW. Tatanka: Taken out of the roster for unknown reasons. So far, all that's being done to fill the gaps is bring up Sylvester Turkay from OVW.
