  1. Holy [cabbage], I live in Nottingham - was not expecting this to be anywhere near my town  Quite tempted to go now :P
  2. Just finished the quest. Nice storyline and a decent reward (especially for Agility) B)
  3. Nice quest requirements
  4. Combat levels representing combat ability has been void ever since the first pure account was made.
  5. You say it as if it makes a huge difference. The potions didnt make a substantial difference in a fight (with the exception of magic) or at least ive found. You could hit a few hp higher and Magic was finally balanced out in the triangle. Are you going to complain if and when Jagex do make a high level Magic update? Honestly, the complaints mainly come from people who dont have the level and thats because of jealousy. They cannot use this update themselves, so instead they play the unfair card. It isnt unfair in the slightest, as you have access to the herblore skill and can train it to whatever level or experience you desire. Dont have enough or cant buy the ingredients? Not my problem. Its the whole point of training your stats - so you can be better; better than other players, or better in general. Its why we train our strength/attack to 99 among other things.
  6. What an absolutely pathetic decision Jagex made. I have 99 herblore and dont even PvP, so I feel my opinion is pretty valid. People have 'earnt' their use of these potions by training a skill (which is very expensive) over 90, which is very respectable. The most common gametype that stat-increasing potions are used in is PvP. Taking them away from BH/PvP worlds is bad enough, but to remove them from safe minigames too? Just because some jealous players whined - honestly if you really had a problem with it, train the damn skill. Its not rocket science.
  7. Working out twice as much per day will only have negative impacts (unless you're training 20-30 mins a day currently). Just sayin' ;)
  8. Nice find. Did a zoom:-
  9. Jinsr44's is my favourite by a long shot - also consider it the most original and vibrant. Unfortunately, as predicted, this all boils down to a popularity contest, so the person with the most Youtube subscribers (Excl) will win it. Not bashing him, its a good video, but it should at least be much closer because his video isnt out of this world.
  10. Had a huge FML moment today. Got 120exp away from 99 crafting 4 weeks ago, was about to get it, but my girlfriend had connection problems, so I postponed it. Been meaning to get it since and set the date of this weekend to finally level it up. Today I hear about the cheap prices for the Trouble Brewing clothing. I wanted some brown naval clothes to match the crafting cape nicely, only to stupidly forget that you gain crafting exp when playing it. So at the end of the game, I hear and see the big 99 fireworks, which was greeted by several people saying "omg" "grats" "what lvl" "who got 99". FML :wall:
  11. Quite a nice one:- [yt]uV1Ie0TboIM[/yt]
  12. This one was actually pretty nice and the first one to make me smirk. Dont get me wrong, some of them in there are nicely made with some good effects and use of basic media skills, but dry humor does not amuse me in the slightest.
  13. For a brand new game or a huge, game-changing update? quite possibly. For a small'ish update such as a quest? No.
  14. Honestly, im going to say something that a lot of ranters hear all the time. If you are that fed up with Jagex and their bugs, then quit. It really is that simple. Yes, people have the right to give some kind of feedback. However, Jagex are a multi-billionaire company with a large HQ and employees with many advanced backgrounds. I think they know what they're doing. Of course they have testers, but do people ever assume that putting it live could trigger the bugs? They are not stupid enough to miss the "invalid teleport" - but the game plays A LOT different online than it would offline. Ive been playing this game for years. It happens, learn some patience or go away.
  15. Everyone is expecting a price drop at the end of summer vacation. For that reason, and for the fact that you cannot predict seasonal patterns in the Runescape market (it never works as expected; santas do not rise at christmas, masks do not rise at halloween etc)...I wouldnt hold my breath.
  16. I thought it was good to start off with, but the tune just became repetitive and really you can only hear the woodcutting and smithing sounds. Could use a bit of tweaking too.
  17. I didnt even find the offiicial competition entry video funny or good. Much like Tehnoobshows' videos, dont see the hype in them. Maybe I just dont like dry humor. If one makes me laugh then its an autowin in my book.
  18. What do you mean by "creatine muscles" (assuming you mean creatine)?
  19. Depends on how you look at it really. They can only get rarer as time goes on, but the players have a say in prices. If you're looking for a very long term investment, then sure..but as a short term, partyhats can crash at any time and drop down to the prices we saw 6 months ago (~70m for a purple etc). Besides, you never know whats coming; Jagex could release a brand new skill tommorrow which is a huge money-sinker.
  20. Afk'ing IS against the rules, I just report them under macroing (I think; its under one section I know). Whether Jagex have taken action against those accounts I dont know, but I really wish they would take stern action against it. All they have to do is log into worlds and check their account for how long they've been idle for (which im sure is possible considering they can track mouse movements).
  21. Thats just sad on their part. Honestly, even though it would be pathetic to do it before the whole wilderness update (i.e. you would have dropped all your loot), to BS someone you've known for a year to get some random loot which probably wont even surpass 200k is quite idiotic.
  22. Its good to see Jagex finally taking a step forward in P-Mod recruiting. I got tired of seeing level 60's who just reported hundreds of players become a moderator and couldnt even talk proper english. I know there are a lot of lower leveled players out there who deserve to become a moderator, but tbh I would rather like to see some more higher-leveled players with years of experience to be at the front of the queue. Those players are the most experienced (so can help players better) and are role models to most of the RS community.
  23. 1) I play around 30-40 hours of games a week - from FPS to MMORPG..not sure if you consider that "above average gamer" (I think it is)...but imo I think it is well beyond normal behaviour. It is extreme no lifing and is not a healthy lifestyle. 2) It becomes a problem if you go more than two days in a row with this mentality. I dont see much of a problem if someone plays a game for ~15 hours in a day as a one-off, but when you start to sacrifice sleep and, more importantly, food then it can become a physical problem as well as a mental problem. 3) I played runescape for 9 hours in a day once. So, either that or once declining an invitation to go out into town so I could attend a community god wars event. I think people need to remember that it is a game and you should play it casually for your enjoyment, not as a lifestyle.
