Threads like this make it so funny to read post-update. Money pouch turned out better then most thought, I believe. ..Although I still use it for more common change type thing. No more then a million maybe, but its quite handy to have. Never sure when it'll become very useful to just have that bit of coin on ya.

Its not Jagex's job to pervent you from being scammed if you go against their wishes. In this case, You decided to dice or whatnot despite knowing it wasn't supported by Jagex. As nice as it would be if the scammer was banned, I can't really see it happening. Being scammed a lot of times (Maybe not in this case) comes down to 'common sense' and most times is easily avoidable. ..Then again, Common sense is different for everyone these days. ;)

Its funny no matter how good the update is - tool belts, People will still complain. Its not like it made the game any quicker or easier, Unless you count the annoying process of forgetting a simple tool and having to run all the way back. Who misses that? Anyone?

Nice house tripsis, how much did that cost you?

Take it easy there tiger, breathe. I play the game in a manner that I personally find fun. Im in no huge rush to max out or complete this game as I enjoy the progression just as much as being able to say 'omg guys, i have 99 farmz!'. I would rather take a little longer and in the end, Ill get to the same place eventually.

I'm normally on stumbleupon or tube+ watching something.. or on tip.it/my clan forums. Not with every skill but a fair amount.

I never really have been a power leveller. While I can understand why some might be for myself it just doesn't work. I enjoy the adventure and progression more then actually being able to say that my level is 99. I find a fair chunk of people push hard for a 99 then don't ever touch it again. Meh. I also set goals for myself that slow down my levelling by far some time. I remember getting pretty much all 99 off catching sharks in the fishing guild. Took ages but I met some awesome people in that time. I also cut/burnt (almost all, only can recall from low 70s) all my own willows for 99fm. I do understand this makes no difference to someone looking at the high scores but that doesn't matter to me, as it makes a difference to myself.

Amazing update so far! Thanks Jagex. Picked up my goggles today too. Crome is an amazing browser. -
What's the player base like these days?
Huzzah replied to NotoriousPSC's topic in General Discussion
Just wondering, is Runescape alone in high scores being a members feature? I don't play other mmos so I'm not sure. I also never really understood the whole concept behind 'F2P Pure' other then getting something for nothing. If you want to limit your exp gains, you can use the same methods in P2P. Also the fact people claim that this will discourge new players is nonsense. It wouldn't effect them at all as they would have never gotten used to being there. -
Why do people think its bad skillers can profit? You would like it if you were the hunter. Judging by your stats you seem that you focus a lot of your time on combat. Maybe try skilling. Its nice boss killing, dicing and item flipping aren't the only ways to make a decent profit anymore. Also for the insane exp per hour of chin I think its okay to come at a costly price.

Nice layout, Your dungeon sounds awesome. I cant wait to expand more in mine.

Hello tip.it. My names Huzzah and I'm a huge fan of the Construction skill. I can remember as far back to when we thought POHs were going to be housed outside of Varrock and Falador. Even though my construction skill isn't as high as I sometimes wish it would be I spent a great deal of time and money building my house and re-building it. I think I finally came out with a design that works for me and even allows me to build up a small dungeon as I progress towards 99. I mapped out the whole thing even though the dungeon is far from finished and would like to share it with you guys. Anyhow one thing that really interests me personally is that most houses are pretty orignal atleast I figure it would be odd to find a handful of the same houses. I would like to see how you guys decided to layout your houses. If we can get enough input then maybe I could piece together some type of catalog to help future tipers with design references or even those looking to re-build/change. I posted my layout below. Just to explain a little bit I tried to add connect dots to show you where you would appear if you were dropped from the throne room or went up the stairs for example. Green lower = green lower, yellow upper = yellow upper, etc. I also enclosed my house from the 'outside area' except for the two exits with the gardens on the main floor. Did this to keep my pets a little closer to the enterence/exit. :) Didn't do a good job of door mapping but couldn't figure it out on the planner I was using. Also the chapel garden is just a regular garden. Dungeon/Basement floor on the left and then it just works its way up. Anyways not sure what else to say. Take it easy! -Huzzah

25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
Huzzah replied to Mercifull's topic in General Discussion
But is it truly fair for a North American player to have to shell out 100s of dollars more then a UK player to attend RuneFest because it would never be local? It'd be nice for players who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to take part, wouldn't it? I mean that shows a lot of North American interest in attending RuneFest, I'm sure it would be quite the event. On that note I'd also like to see RuneFest in other parts of the world later on. -

Huzzah replied to Mercifull's topic in General Discussion
You must remember people in North America and the like had to choose between three spots while I'm pretty sure the whole UK picked London. The poll isn't really that accurate. You add that up and there sure seems to be a lot of interest to atleast have Runefest somewhere in North America doesn't it? I fully believe if the choices were London or NY, NY would have buried London. -

Yes but I'm sure in that case the majority of mods would stay to fill their job. I highly doubt that it would make a major difference if noticeable at all. Its not like they would need to send out half their staff or anything. Also I'm sure with enough notice Jagex would have no problem working around the event. Two days for a few mods (Esp the more well known ones, MMG, Andrew, Others) woudln't account for a huge loss. I'm sure they're smart enough that they could work the trip into the timeline without a loss or if so a small one. Its not like they are in their offices programming day in and day out. I wonder if you're just clenching onto it because the London event is easier for you personally to go to. Jagex wouldn't suffer if it was hosted somewhere else I'm sure its a large enough company it would do fine. -
25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
Huzzah replied to Mercifull's topic in General Discussion
Thats the beautiful thing about hosting it on a weekend when most of the staff have time off anyways, No man power is lost! I doubt Jagex has coders in during the weekend, Maybe one or two incase of a random issue. Either way I think New York could have more people then their London venue as it'll open up the option to a whole host of people other then those that have already been able to pay to fly over and attend the event. I mean if Jagex could re-fund everyones tickets and host the event for free the first time whos to say they couldn't afford to spend a little to do it at a new location? Also they don't really need 50 jmods on site. I mean sure it would be neat but Im sure most couldn't even name 50 JMods they would like to meet or know their names. -
25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
Huzzah replied to Mercifull's topic in General Discussion
It would be nice to see Jagex host it in a city other then London one year. Theres a huge mass of players that due to money reasons haven't been able to attend the prior two. I don't think it would be too unfair to rotate the location around every here and there. I also don't think it would take away from the game because I mean come on, Not every single staff member needs to be taken off their projects. The top few and a handfull would be fine, Wouldn't it? Do Jagex staff members even work on the weekend? I'm pretty sure its held on the weekend and I figured MOST if not all would have weekends off. Also about America hosting the other events, I don't see how it relates to the runescape location at all. I have no interest in going to those as I'm not involved in those games. -

Yeah Chee, its ex players who still haunt these forums for whatever reason and 'pure' F2Pers who are looking for a reason to rage and doomsay. Fact is, New members join every day fellas. It doesn't matter if you believe it or not in reality, Does it? You've provided no proof on the fact that the game is dying but you're quick to jump at someone who posts some pictures. Oh and how do we know that those aren't actually new players who are enjoying the game? Just because you don't believe it doesn't make it any less true. Quite sad really. -

No the change has as many benefits as negatives. For one it will go a long way against gold farmers also I feel it'll help new players from becoming scammed. -

I can't understand why you would continue to stick around a forum and rant about a game you no longer play. It just doesn't seem logical to me and brings down the mood of the forums. I would say either most clans are actually P2P or F2P. Some might have a few differences but I would say its either way most times. Also a 'large chunk'? Last I seen info F2P made up under 20% of the player base. Thats not really huge. Also I wonder just what percent of that actually use sigs on a regular basis. They can continue to level and enjoy the F2P game or perhaps try P2P and realise its not so bad after all. Either way if you play just for the reason for others to give you a virtual pat on the back you should take a step back. -

I mean really today I'm sure the majority of players woke up and looked at the high scores and thought to themselves 'Oh cool' at the thought of their new places. As of now I'm sure theres lots of players currently playing runescape. As of tomorrow, they'll probally be a new player to replace you and wouldn't complain about the high scores or the trade cap. He'll adjust just fine. Life goes on and it makes no difference like the player I quoted left or not. The lot of you keep going on about better and bigger games but you're still here aren't ya? -

Can't you just quit the forums too instead of sticking around and being a negative nancy? You act like the 10 seconds extra to log in rather then looking at the high scores is outragous. You act like you ragequitting runescape is a huge threat to Jagex. In you're quitting post on there you sound like a spoiled brat. 'I warned you this would happen'? Please. In this economy? Who can't come up with $5, I can't think of a single issue. Its such a small amount of money. How much money do you spend on fast food in a month? Id rather the limit then gold farmers continue and I support this 110%. Oh and btw, I'm sure you'll be back playing in a few weeks or atleast logging on to 'catch up'. Hey, Atleast you can still pretend that you aren't playing now right? :) -

I like quite a few aspects of this update. Whoever planned out the trade limits thing did it really well. Great job. Try and give them some time to fix the in game parts and whatnot, Sure they'll piece it all together soon. Going to go do the thanksgiving event soon. I love the holiday items. On a cool personal note I jumped about 13k ranks. ..and over 1.1m strength rankings. Who knew there were that many inactive players and whatnot above me. O.O Also almost back to my orignal place to 99 range. ^^ Exciting.
