  1. Goddammit! I heard there are 4 confirmed cases at a local military base...
  2. I really like the magic cape(t). The next best two would be prayer(t) and herblore(t).
  3. Nice stuff, man. I need to definitely give this sort of stuff a shot some day.
  4. Everything except Clan Wars and the old BH arena is open.
  5. Only get lumberjack if you feel like taking a break from woodcutting or like temple trekking. Lumberjack is basically just aesthetic, but if you want the clothes, do the following: -Talk to the woman-in-arms in the minigame start area near the Salve temple. Use 15 lobsters on her. -Take Route 1 (easiest). Skip all evadable events. -When you get the bridge-crossing event with the zombie, look around for trees. If there are no trees, ignore the zombie; if there are trees, kill the zombie for an axe if you don't already have one. Go near the water and wait for the undead lumberjacks to rise up and attack them. Keep killing until you have a piece of lumberjack clothing. Pick up 3 planks. Wait for another wave of lumberjacks if you still haven't gotten a piece of clothing yet. They might take a minute or so to come back out of the river. -Once in Burgh de Rott, use the bank to restock on lobsters if you need any. Bank unnecessary items if you run out of inventory space. Cash in any scrolls by using the 'Use Bank booth' option. -Exit the Burgh de Rott bank and take Rolayne Twickit through Mort Myre. Repeat the same procedure as you did with the woman-in-arms. -Cash in any other reward scrolls by talking to the monk. The trick to getting lumberjack clothing is to use the easiest route, avoid all evadable events, and use the NPCs with red capes or red-tinted clothing.
  6. I have all the requirements for the completion of the Falador achievement diaries, except the 72 slayer requirement. I have been wondering if I can still complete this diary by getting my slayer to 67 and using wild pies to boost my slayer to 72 (+5 boost) long enough to kill one skeletal wyvern. Is this even possible?
  7. I have a friend that apparently was in on that. Anyway, attack potions and prayer potions are another example. Not long ago, prayer potions were being bought up and increased about 200-500GP/day. Now, it seems that it's being done to a lesser extent because after whoever manipulated them dumped the pots, the price went down to normal at about 8.9k at max. Prayer potions(4) are now at about 9.5-9.6k max, so I believe people are taking advantage of yet another item that many Scapers can't live without. Jagex definitely needs to find a way to stop manipulation. Maybe if they could make "buying out" impossible by implementing a system similar to the general store. A player might be able to buy X amount of items a day before it dips into the player-made market and buys stuff from there. It would still allow players to sell items to other players and dampen the efforts of clans when they buy out an item because players can still buy a temporary amount of GE-generated items per day and reduce the dependency on other players to sell items for them to buy. I know this has some consequences, such as making items harder to sell, but it's a start.
  8. I've noticed this too. I think it may have something with your weapon giving an invisible boost to your defence stats. I know the defence option on your weapon is supposed to give an invisible boost to your defence, the attack option gives an invisible boost to your accuracy, and the strength option makes you hit harder. Perhaps the controlled/defensive modes are responsible?
  9. I love all the swine flu jokes on the radio. "They called swine flu H1N1 because R2D2 was already taken. In other news, B. Arthur has died from prostate cancer."
  10. If you're going to clue farm, at least thieve level 1 clues from HAM members. You should get them pretty quickly. Here is an old clue farming log that me and a friend did once: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=613390 It's very old, but it'll give you an idea of how random good clue rewards are. Sometimes you get huge rewards one after the other, and sometimes you have 20+ clue dry streaks.
  11. Everybody was swine flu fighting Those germs were fast as lightning In fact it was a little bit frightening But they fought with expert timing I heard a parody of this on the radio the other day.
  12. Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8026136.stm All I can say is that I hope the US follows Britain's lead soon.
  13. Even if you would gladly prove that you don't have any drugs in your possession, it is still embarrassing and uncomfortable to get strip searched a school. Just think about it. You're forced to take off your clothes in front of some adults that you don't know very well. What if you're wearing boxers and the flap isn't closed very well? Do you really want them to be able to see your pee-pee? I think not.
  14. Oh my GOD! Swine flu is spread by tornadoes now! :ohnoes:
  15. This is how the human race will end:
  16. This reminds me of that Dinotopia movie.
  17. They gave us afros? I wanna see some screenies! \ By the way, we DO need a suit now for the best outfit evar. EDIT: Afros are permanent, but lilies are going to disappear by next week.
  18. I've been reading a lot about them lately, and some of their policies seem very disturbing at times. Their policies concerning immigration seem beyond cultural preservation and to the point of blatant racism to me. I've also noticed that they censor (by removing) comments on their discussion boards that criticize their policies and almost every image on Bnp.org.uk looks like propaganda. I've also read that they are likely to gain a lot of power in UK politics in June. What I have been wondering is this: Is the British National Party really going to infringe upon basic human rights? With their immigration policies, do they also plan to deport/prevent whites who aren't British citizens (but are of British heritage)? What about Britons who are married to Thais or other ethnic groups? How exactly do they plan to relate with the rest of the world?
  19. 99 Strength is still a good achievement. If it upsets you enough, max out your combat stats + HP.
  20. I'm may be going to the doctor soon. My temperature was normal this morning, but I checked it again and it was 99 degrees. :ohnoes:
  21. 2 blues, 12 greens, 219 crimsons, 62 golds, 38 obsidians
