  1. Over a year ago, I trained 50-73 construction and that's what I remember the prices of oak planks to be... 450-500 each.
  2. In tie worlds, both teams don't try to win so people get a steady amount of points or whatever.
  3. A cheap method is to start Shades of Mort'ton and then use ashes and tarromin on vials of water to make Serum 207(3). It's 50 EXP per pot and is the cheapest method that I know of.

Gov. Rick Perry, in comments following an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday, never did advocate Texas breaking away from the United States but suggested that Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to leave the union. That was enough to feed opinions for and against secession on Web sites, cable TV and talk radio across the nation. At the Texas Capitol on Thursday, Rep. Jim Dunnam of Waco, joined by several fellow Texas House Democrats, said some people associate talk of secession with racial division and the Civil War and that Perry should disavow any notion of seceding "Talk of secession is an attack on our country. It can be nothing else. It is the ultimate anti-American statement," Dunnam said at a news conference. State Sen. Rodney Ellis, a Houston Democrat, said that by not rejecting the possibility of secession out of hand, Perry "is taking a step down a very dangerous and divisive path encouraged by the fringe of Texas politics." The Democrats are proposing a House resolution expressing "complete and total disagreement with any fringe element advocating the 'secession' of Texas or any other state from our one and indivisible Union." Perry emphasized Thursday that he is not advocating secession but understands why Americans may have those feelings because of frustration with Washington, D.C. He said it's fine to express the thought. He offered no apology and did not back away from his earlier comments. Perry's remarks Wednesday were in response to a question from The Associated Press as he walked away from the Austin rally, where some in the audience had shouted "Secede!" during his speech. The governor said he didn't think Texas should secede despite some chatter about it on the Internet and his name being associated with the idea. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot," Perry said Wednesday. A day later, Perry said he found the fascination with the remark interesting. "I refer people back to my statement and I got a charge out of it," he said. "I was kind of thinking that maybe the same people that hadn't been reading the Constitution right were reading that article and they got the wrong impression about what I said. Clearly I stated that we have a great union. Texas is part of a great union. And I see no reason for that to change." Texas was a republic from 1836, when it declared independence from Mexico, to 1845, when it became a U.S. state. Perry has been speaking out against the federal government lately over federal economic stimulus spending. He's also in a tough race for re-election against a fellow Republican, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, whom he is trying to portray as a Washington insider. Perry spokeswoman Allison Castle criticized Dunnam, saying he was "trying to distract from the fact that yesterday thousands of Texans, including many in his own district, expressed their extreme displeasure at Washington's rampant taxation, big spending and bloated government." Dunnam suggested Perry is positioning himself for his political future. "We all knew he wanted to be president. I just didn't know it was president of the Republic of Texas," he said to chuckles from onlookers.[/hide] I heard rumours about this for a month or so. I don't think it's that big of a deal at the moment, but, in a hypothetical situation, another civil war could lead to the deaths of many people. I think it kind of illustrates just how much Americans are getting pissed off at the government.
  5. High-level friends > teams At least you can trust them. You should easily be able to get a team at 85 defence - with friends.
  6. Is this place usually crowded/have any competition?
  7. Depending on how flat your stomach is, wear a tighter, but not conforming shirt (just don't wear loose, baggy shirts) and then wear some good ol' jeans. Seriously, just dress like any other teenager. Since you like sports, you could probably get away with wearing loose clothing like you would for athletics. A lot of athletic kids like to wear footie/soccer jerseys or just a sports enthusiast type t-shirt. Just wear whatever you find the most comfortable and what you don't feel embarrassed about walking into public with.
  8. When you are doing the levers, there is a chance that it'll also mess up another lever. Just keep trying it and see if that doesn't work. Just when you get there, make sure you bring a chisel and cut a crystal, drop it, cut another, drop it, and repeat until you have enough on the floor to pick up for a full inventory.
  9. I liked it. 9/10
  10. I heard Denmark and Finland were pretty close... :( They must be terribly grieved!
  11. I think that guy was actually one of our guys pranking OT. But damn, he sure was funny.
  12. If he does it again, punch him. If his friends really think you're gay, and they see him get his [wagon] kicked by a "gay, effeminate" guy, he'll be the laughing stock.
  13. A couple of days ago, I was training and using prayer, and my HP regenerated when I took hits... Then again, I don't use quick prayer.
  14. Granted, but since you did not say "I wish to own Jagex", some random Indian guy who can't speak English became the sole owner of Jagex Ltd. i wish for world peace and corn tortillas falling from the sky.

  16. It happens to me from time to time with Firefox (lost connection). My laptop is brand-new, so I think it's something to do with my Internet connection. It sometimes tends to lose connection to the Broadband modem for a minute or so. It's a good thing that I usually get logged off sooner when I lose connection, otherwise I'd end up dying a lot.
  17. I would just call them by phone. They literally take a second or two and click Yes/No on appeals (or they may use automated software...who knows). Their abuse report system is so incompetent that it's sad.
  18. Okay, apparently my knee hit the switch that allows the battery to pop loose. When I was putting up my computer for the night, I noticed that the back was thinner than usual. When I flipped it over, a huge part of the back was missing, so I looked on the floor and noticed the battery was by my feet. :wall: Anyway I feel like a jackass. /thread
  19. The battery icon in my system tray has a red X over the battery and it also has a plug-in icon (which symbolizes that it's charging), and when I mouse over it, it says "No battery is detected." When I unplug the cord from the laptop, the computer shuts down. Because the computer is only a couple months old, is it more likely that somehow the cord was slightly pulled out and the battery depleted and is now recharging, or is my battery actually needing to be replaced? EDIT: The power source was very hot when I noticed this. It also hasn't recharged at all, and I'm wondering if I should just shut the lid and let it recharge overnight.
  20. This. Although I did have a good laugh. Silly Americans getting trolled IRL. Would you have had a laugh if it was someone from your country? That would be funny. If it was your friend, it'd be hilarious! .... Wouldn't it? They're just being idiots because Americans were attacked. Ironically, Latios is from Australia and Racheya is from the UK. I wonder how those [bleep]ers would have felt if we just let the Japanese slaughter the Aussies and Hitler crush the Brits. After all, they aren't our countrymen, so that makes it funny as hell.
  21. Happy Easter, everyone! :D I'm going to go spend money that I would otherwise spend on the hungry on Easter Hallmark cards and send it to those adorable Ethiopian kids! :
  22. Let's go Barbary Coast on their [wagon]!
  23. Just PM an admin or mod. They usually take care of that stuff pretty well.
  24. I might join. I'll be 90 99 90 94 before long.
  25. How the hell did parts of this topic go from talking about the Queen to bashing America? Anyway, I think the Queen keeps Britain's culture alive, so people should stop demonising her.
