thinking of barrows
The one on the site's ancient and a bit out-dated. I'll link you to a guide that I used to get me started on Barrows. it has a lot of info. Here's a new one that's in the AOW: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=764268

barrows:30+trips and no barrows items. How?
I normally get at least one Barrows item a day, this hasn't failed me so far in two weeks of Barrowing. I normally do 30-40 trips a day (one run per chest so I can recharge prayer at my house and save money) and I usually get at least 16 KC each time. You can look at my Barrows log below this message for an idea of all the loot I get. Even if I didn't get an item, I could still earn about 2M alone in runes + bolt racks in a single day. It's all luck, but if you have the mentality that you'll profit no matter what and just do Barrows for fun, the items will just come as a delightful surprise. Otherwise, you'd end up stressing out over a dry streak and give up on it, losing more money in the long run because you gave up.

Manga/Anime Discussion
Has anyone read the manga for Goth? It's pretty twisted. It's about murder mysteries and has this huge twist at the end of it that left me :o . It's not for the feint of heart. Some of it has some pretty gruesome stuff.

Mod Mark's Statement About Dragon Claws
For the past weeks, price manipulators (merchant clan, I believe) trolled the RSOF and said that dragon claws were going to be nerfed soon, which caused some panic within the market for dragon claws. People started to dump their claws into the Grand Exchange and caused a massive crash. People were selling their claws for millions worth of junk in a desperate move to sell their claws before they were "nerfed". When the claws bottomed out, the merchants then made their move and bought out as many claws as they could and caused a massive price rise, which resulted in profit for them. Anyway, one player that has been part of this scheme from the beginning made a post on the RSOF again, this time stating that claws were being nerfed. This time, there was another crash, but not as large as the previous one. Anyway, on the manipulator's thread, Mod Mark locked the thread and made the following comment: The following message was made by the manipulator, which is also the typical rumor that was spread throughout RSOF about a future nerf. They even went as far as spreading this rumor in Mod MMG's clan chat. When I read Mod Mark's post, it proved that these rumors were untrue. It also proved that Jagex currently didn't have any plans to nerf a weapon that is presumed by many players as being "overpowered". Judging from the nature of the post, do you believe that the merchant clans involved in this ordeal will be hurt by this J-Mod's statement, or do you think that they'll still be able to fool gullible players into panicking over this item? Do you think that Jagex will start making coercive moves against manipulation clans?

I believe the Cooking Guild has the closest range from a bank. You need to wear Varrock armour 3 to even get in the area though...

Firecape
I did my first fire cape attempt the other day (failed miserably on Jad, but meh). The waves aren't that bad as long as you stay confident and don't forget when the 360s come. My gear: -Verac's helm -Amulet of fury -Karil's leathertop -Verac's plateskirt -Snakeskin boots* -Ava's accumulator -Unholy Book** -Rune Crossbow -[no ring]*** Ammo: 2k broad bolts (only used about 500) and 500 diamond-tipped bolts (e) [use these on the 360s to save time; also use on Jad] *Instead of using snakeskin boots, you may also use ranger's boots. However, I don't think it'll make much of a difference, at all. **If you're lower defense, you should probably replace this with a dragonfire shield or some type of spirit shield (if you're rich). I was 99 defense when I did this. ***An archers' ring is probably recommended. Inventory: -one free spot for bolts (when switching from broad to diamonds) - 6-8 Saradomin brews(4) - 2-3 ranging pots(4) - Fill the rest of the inventory with super restores (4). When you're in the caves, you'll probably want to wait on the side of the Italy rock closest to the entrance/exit. This way, you aren't at a high risk of getting hit with melee attacks by some of the more powerful monsters. The Italy rock is your only friend in the caves. It is advised to always trap the 180s by staying on one side of the Italy rock and letting them come to you. When they are within melee range, run to the opposite side of the rock and get as close to that wall as you can. If you did it correctly, the level 180 should try to follow you as if it was trying to walk through the wall/rock to get to you and be stuck. Then, walk to the corner nearest you on the Italy rock and you should partially see the monster. Then, simply right-click and attack it. You should then start firing at it and it should still be stuck and die easily. Wave 31 is the first wave in which the level 360s come out. Always keep protect from magic on and don't ever let your prayer drop past 10. Constantly check your remaining prayer points. Otherwise, you could easily be dealt a 40, or worse: death. Always kill any bats (level 22s) first, then kill the level 90s. The next priority monster is the 180. Just keep protect from magic on, watch prayer, and trap the 180(s) on the Italy rock and kill them as usual. When you engage the 360s, simply switch your ammo from the broad bolts to the enchanted diamond bolts. Drink a ranging potion if needed, but always sip this after drinking a Saradomin brew (and always, always sip a super restore after sipping a brew!). Otherwise, you'd just waste your dose of ranging potion. TIP: -If you are unable to trap the 180 on the Italy rock, run though another monster, such as a level 90, so the 180 follows and gets stuck behind the monster you're hiding behind. I used this on waves with level 90s when I couldn't trap the 180 on the Italy rock because the level 90 had more priority. If this also fails, just run from the level 180 and fire at it once when you are a good distance from it. Being too close to the 180 can result in damage or trigger the creature's ability to heal itself. Its healing ability is very similar to the way the monks at the monastery heal themselves during combat. This running and firing technique is also used in the God Wars Dungeon, I believe. -It is advised to divide the waves up into different parts and log out for a short break after you finish a part. This prevents fatigue and stress. Less stress and fatigue ensures that you can easily get closer to your coveted fire cape. Simply press the log out button on the top right-hand corner of your game screen and wait for it to show a message in your chat box. If you press the button immediately again before finishing your wave, you will lose your progress. If you don't press it again and just finish your wave, it should log you out automatically and save your progress. Be careful. When you log in, the TzHaar mage that runs the minigame will send you a message and say something along the lines of "Prepare to fight for your live!" As long as you don't close out of his message, you can still turn on prayer so you aren't killed when the next wave of monsters spawn. -As far as Jad goes, I can't offer you much help. I would probably turn on protect from range as soon as the final wave is about to start and just listen. If you hear a lightning-like sound (also sounds like the Retribution prayer when you die with it activated), immediately turn on protect from magic. His range attack sounds like an explosion, but the sound lags with the animation and you'll likely be hit if you listen for the sound alone. However, Jad slams his feet and produces a shockwave when he does his range attack, so watch for the animation. SirHemen has a good guide in the Archive of Wisdom, check it out! :D -Never panic! ---------------------------------------------- That's about all the advice I can offer you. Good luck!

Bubsa Sings for Charity: What happened next.
The FBI. :ohnoes: Anyway, I listened to his songs on iTunes not that many months ago. I'm not a fan. Just type in "Bubsa" or "Runescape Oddity" on iTunes and it should show up.

Bone Key from Shilo Quest
I heard that it is possible to retrieve the bone key even after you finished the quest so you can enter Rashilya's tomb. I was wondering how you do this. I've tried going to the antique salesman in Shilo, but he only sold me the Beads of the Dead for 1200gp. Thanks.

Unobtainable Quest Rewards-A Cosmetic Truth
I need mine back! Can you please tell us how you got it back? :o EDIT: The Beads are reobtainable from that guy in the hut with the quest icon by the gem mine in Shilo. He has the blond hair. He sells the Beads of Undead for 1200 GP. EDIT2: Okay. He doesn't sell the key. How do I get it back now? :?

Mining Brawlers?
I wouldn't do it on a BH world. You'd get PKed too quickly. Just go on a PvP world and mine coal in the level 6 wilderness mine north of Edgeville. You'll know you're there because the track "Army of Darkness" plays in that area. Good luck.

Baby Badger in the Yard
I just found some videos about badgers. Adult badger eats its young. This last video shows the cute side of badgers, but don't let their cuteness fool you! They are actually very deadly! [yt]GG8_9Vj8zPA[/yt]

Well..It's official, North Korea has gone mad
And he wants to nuke America on July 4... Seriously how could he be any more idiotic? On July 4, the sky is practically lit up with fireworks. People will just see the explosion and go "OOoooh... Ahhhh" Anyway, he is insane. MAD can be useless when a small nation gets slammed with an Armada of ICBMs, destroying the country AND the arsenal. Plus, the US has a missile defense shield... If he just makes threats, the US government could just prepare ahead of time and stop it if it does happen. If he didn't announce it and did it, they would at least have the element of surprise...

A 'New World Order'?
It's an interesting idea. I just saw a program about the Freemasons' influence in the American Revolution and how Masonic symbolism plays heavily in national monuments and even on U.S. currency. Even the latin phrase for "New World Order" appears on our currency under the All-Seeing Eye. It's interesting, but that doesn't mean that the United States has an ultimate goal of taking over the world. "Novus Ordo Seclorum" People are fearful of the Masons because of the fact that the Pentagram is one of their many symbols. However, this symbol doesn't represent evil, contrary to popular belief. It is in fact a symbol of scientific knowledge. Moving on, from my experience with the Freemasons, they do not appear to be any more than a fraternity of men that treat each other as brothers. However, it is still possible that at higher levels within the organization there might be some sinister groups. The Masons do, in fact, have a political clout, but it's a silent one. Since the organization teaches brotherhood and loyalty, this can supersede the nation itself as loyalty to your Brother is stronger than loyalty to your country. From time to time, a Mason who happens to be in a position of authority might make deals with a Brother behind closed doors, as long as it is to the benefit of the Masonic order and the fellow Brother. However, they also punish fellow members harshly if they do something like murder a person. If that person is on trial, fellow Masons within the jury will seek to punish the Brother as harshly as possible and then excommunicate them from the Order. It's a very complex network with set rules. During my time spent with an organization sponsored by the Freemasons that's for people that aren't old enough to join the actual father organization, the Order of Jacques DeMolay, we had a set of traditions very similar to the Freemasons' rituals and rules. We had secret handshakes, secret passwords, and secret rituals. However, none of these were very important, despite our oaths to never reveal our secrets. What's important is the lesson learned from keeping the secrets safe. The lessons teach honor and loyalty. By revealing the secrets, we are committing treason against our Order and our brethren. Nothing really major would happen to us, but our reputation would be ruined and we would no longer be trusted with anything. We would also be excommunicated if we committed a felony. We had nothing to hide, really. Anyway, probably nothing of what I said really makes any sense. For those who didn't read any of this, I basically said that the Freemasons have a lot of influence on the American government and the foundation of this nation itself. Masonic symbolism has become a meme for Federal architecture, among other things. The Masonic Order may very well be subversive at its core, but there is no evidence to support that assumption. A future New World Order is a possibility because history usually repeats itself. Perhaps a new Britannia will rise and spread influence throughout the world and eventually conquer the globe. Who knows? EDIT: Looking back through posts, I noticed that someone asked a question about the pyramid with the eye on top of it. That is called the All-Seeing Eye. The eye symbolizes God watching every action that people do. More info here. As for the comment that it would be impossible for a single government to wipe out all other cultures and languages and establish one culture and language, I could see a NWO government using genocide, coercive laws, and brainwashing of children to wipe out other cultures and languages. A tyrannical government wouldn't care if it required bloodshed and time. After all, the end justifies the means.

The Weirdest Dream You've Ever Had!
The other night, I had a dream about a cult that resided within a church. This boy (friend, apparently), this girl (lover?), and I were exploring the church, and we were finding secret passageways. Anyway, we find this stairway with black, polished rails and marble steps and go up it. When we reached the top, there was a room there, and for some reason, we freaked out and ran back down stairs and we were caught by this boy's father. He ordered him to no longer explore, and he told me that he would personally kill me if he caught me exploring. Of course, I freaked out and ran to [my] house that happened to be across the street from the church and hid there. Then I heard a knock. It turned out that the girl wanted to meet me in private and told me that she would miss me, and we both hugged for what seemed like a long time. I could even feel the hug as if all of it was actually real. Then, we both cried a little and said that we would miss each other. That's where the dream ended and I woke up with a kind of anxious feeling. I wanted to meet her again and finish the story that took place within the dream. I seem to have a lot of dreams whenever I stay up late and sleep in.

I just got permabanned...
A WBM could have also reported you out of spite for not talking to them, or they were trying to get a player mod crown. Anyway, a Jagex mod could have made a mistake, despite their space-age, state-of-the-art, impervious macro detection system. We have a thread on the RSOF that is trying to get Jagex to become harsher towards people that make illegitimate abuse reports. 15-16-3-59008424 That might make you feel better. You should call Jagex and complain about how they mistook your account for a botter. You could then explain how you had your chats set up, and that they can check clan chat to prove that you weren't macroing. Jagex should really check PMs and clan chat activity as one of the first things before they flag/ban an account for macroing... They could also scare the living hell out of WBMs by threatening to mass ban them, like they did with botters on their "Macro System Update" post. Anyway, best of luck.

Should I buy dragon claws?
Managed to buy a pair this morning before all of them were bought up by the clan merchants. I had to buy it for max. Now people are paying 34M+ for a pair of claws. :-# They're pretty cool. I've been doing some safe PvP duels with them and I usually get someone to half HP or lower before they can really hit me.
-
Should I buy dragon claws?
hey, I have 35M to spend at the moment, and I've noticed that dragon claws are crashing. Have they been nerfed, will they be nerfed, or is it just a crash? If it's just a crash, when should I buy a pair?

Net trolling: Right or Wrong? Morals in the Internet? noway!
The above picture was on facebook. The above quote was on a goth site that I troll from time to time. This post was epic. Also saying "Slayer is good death metal" on this site leads to flame wars. Trolling can be amusing, but not on emergency sites/hotlines.
