It may be different outside the U.S., but here St. Patrick's day isn't religious anymore. It's just an excuse to wear green and get drunk. And to pinch/slap/punch people who don't.

Through a browser. In reality I don't view it any lower than Tip.it. It could do with fancy lettering and pictures, but those aside it's a decent place if you know where to look.

When did Jagex say this quest was it? When did anyone say this was the 150th quest? Everyone I've seen has been saying "Weird, this is the 147th quest. Hmm..."

Things that make you turn your chat filter on.

[hide=] Coming from you, who is perm muted, I find this very unlikely. I fail to see how being perm muted affects my capability to read text. Care to explain? It's hypocritical for someone who is perm muted to "fear that the idiots in the game" as I find this very unlikely that it "will somehow lower his IQ". ..I still don't understand how it affects my ability to see butchered English. [/hide]He never said it did. :) -
Things that make you turn your chat filter on.
Grasle replied to AdiusReaper's topic in General Discussion
Wow, this I'm surprised by how many people keep their chat on friends, off, or on hide. I almost always have it ON, unless of course I'm in a place like the GE. Although I frequently switch to Clan Chat only instead, so I suppose I'm usually on the equivalent of hide? So, I guess you'd say large spammy areas get me to turn it off. If it's a single person, I just add them to ignore instead. -
Sounds like a fun month. The quest sounds great. Makes me wonder if this is THE quest or not.

I really hate people who don't read the whole topic....Thsi idea was suggested like 5 times. I apologize, but I did not wish to shuffle through 5 pages of comments. I merely felt like offering my input, then leaving.

Perhaps Lucien wants the raw power of the Stone of Jas, and plans to use the Staff of Armadyl to harness this power?

Safe PK? What? -
So... what do we discuss?

Nah, probably a week from tomorrow. *watches it come out tomorrow*

You too? :-#

As for the fact there's the 'uncharted' areas, it's only reasonable. As the game progresses, so will the size of the WM. It's not a perfect square, so you'll have some unfilled zones. However, it's fun to speculate what goes in them. :)

The Mario looks distorted, to me. Also, on some of them, the backgrounds need some more crispness to them. And one last bit, the text fonts need some work. Still, there's some potential.

I myself am not a fan of fewer updates, but we'll see how it goes. Who knows, I may come to like it.

island to the north? mahjarrats return? are they linked?
Grasle replied to iceharwk's topic in General Discussion
[hide=] I can see the Vampyre race being very close to the Mahjarrat race and I suppose you could say Drakan is an honorary member. What seperates him from the Mahjarrats is that their is an entire Vampyre species, as compared to the Mahjarrats dwindling numbers. I know Lucien has a daughter, but considering how long the race has been on the planet, they haven't spread very much! But Drakan, he has an entire empire of Vampyres, Vyrewatch and Vampires, I'm not explaining it well but I hope you get what I mean. We've encountered a bunch of Drakans minions and they only show basic connections to the Mahjarrat, they don't have anywhere near the same scale of power of Mahjarrats. It could be possible that the Vampyre race are descendants of the Mahjarrat, Mahjarrats breeding with Humans? Icyenes? This would make the Vampyre race much like the Dragons of today which are the descendants of the Dragonkin, watered down versions of elder races. It could be hard to try to make that work since Drakan was around during the late 2nd/early 3rd age? You fail to account for a couple of things there 1) Zamorak Mahjaratt following mahjaratt could be anywhere and every as zammy monks etc there no gurantee they HAVE to reveal themselves 2) Zaros following mahjaratt were all slain, imprisoned or driven into hiding after Zaros fell so we have no idea how many there are or where. For all we know they could have an entire city in the frozen wastes of the north. 3) The only reason we know Lucein etc are mahjaratt is from other stories/legends where they are named as like the high up most important mahjaratt I mean for all we know most of the the hazeel cult who we met when resurrecting hazeel could be mahjaratt. Also you must recall that vampyres are created from being bitten and infected. Drakan is a vampyre but he could of become a vampyre due to being bitten by one. This theory also makes sense as Drakan's vampyre's are far stronger than any of the vampires we have met whihc suggests they are two independant races. We know vampires supported zaros and zammy so it is possible drakan as a mahjaratt got bitten by a vampire and due to his powerful mahjaratt status became a new race eg the vampyre. Of course this leans further into speculation where we have little to support it beyond the vampire/vampyre difference. [/hide] Why not this scenario?: Drakan is a Mahjarrat just like any other, and he is the reason we have vampyres today. Rather than he being bitten by one, how about he infected the others, turning them into vampyres? -
That was fun to read for some reason.

On the sky, I think fading up would look better than the sideways wavey lines. On the lighting, the brightness from the moon is too strong compared to the flames. And, yes, a bit more detail added in. Overall, though, it's great work. You did a good job. :)

The first - it's hard to tell what's going on. It's simple, then there's the messy, cluttered area. I like the second the best, except the text is too distracting for me (I could just be weird). Still, it's great. The third is nice. You did a good job.

What is better: New Skills or Upgraded Ones+Level Cap
Grasle replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
To be honest, I prefer new skills over updating skills. While I don't mind (infact, welcome) updates to the skills that need it, I like new skills for variety. I enjoy the skill rush upon release and all the new tricks and methods being discovered, etc. -
On the whole friend thing, this is why I joined a community. You meet a great variety of people and it's a bit different compared to your average clan. About people not wanting to 'hang' - it's pretty much what the others said. Runescape's not a chat room. Training consumes a large portion of RS, it's what gives us access to more content.

Wow, so this is how... Yeah, I did everything the audience asked and would only get around 800 max. I'll try this strategy next time.

a lvl 121 who has never gotten a chamipon scroll
Grasle replied to mmmorgan's topic in General Discussion
One day I killed hill giants, skeles, hobgolins, zombies, etc. (In Edgeville Dungeon) for a scroll. I spent all day there, and next morning logged on and killed maybe 100 more before giving up. So, I went to kill lessers for the 25k xp I needed for a defense level, seeing as how they dropped scrolls. The second one I killed dropped one. =D> This was at 106 or 107 combat.
