  1. Whether or not it's nVidia doesn't mean it can handle what you need it to. If you want to use AA in fullscreen mode, upgrade your card. I suppose your graphics card is really dragging your computer down because your WEI is only 3.0 when you've got a setup close to mine. The only things I really have better is a 2.3ghz quad-core processor and a nVidia GeForce 8800GT (512mb) graphics card and I've got a 5.7 WEI score. If I upgraded my harddrive I could get it to 5.9 easy.
  2. Have you ever even been on Facebook? I have to say I'm getting a good laugh out of these "internet rebels" who are too cool for social networks

I generally don't mow the lawn until I get those conditions.. Then I can throw off my shirt, sweat off a little weight, get a nice tan, and maybe even hop in the pool to cool off when I'm done. If I wait for it to be 75 degrees, low humidity and a good cloud cover I don't feel like I really did much besides end up smelling like gas.. On topic: I'm spoiled but I try not to act like it. I drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse and don't have to pay for gas or insurance. My parents give me money when I go out with friends but we're filing bankrupcy so I try to stay home, drive as little as possible, and I'm not going to [bleep] and moan when I lose my car (gotta get my stuff outta there before the repo guys come for it :| ). I haven't always been this spoiled though. Last spring I had a job to pay for gas/insurance on my '00 Firebird (which I wrecked around the end of June last year). I saved up a decent amount of money so when I quit just after the start of summer I could keep paying for gas/insurance. I worked a couple of other jobs during that summer to in order to keep paying for other little things.
  4. I agree, Limewire is nicer for downloading music but I'm loving torrents for programs, videos, cracks/keygen, porn (that isn't cp, which Limewire is full of), etc. RS premium + warez > all. I don't feel like paying for the premium though ;)
  5. I thought it said the tractor was $1500 and by tractor I think they meant a riding lawn mower.
  6. My summer was going alright for a while.. Lot's of drinking/smoking weed, skating, swimming, hanging out with friends, and just enjoying everything.. Then my idiot friend got me busted by my dad for smoking weed. Currently grounded until further notice :wall: I think I'm going to give that kid a serious beating next time I see him.

I don't know how you manage. The only time I let my BitTorrent run overnight is when the file exceeds 1.5Gb or there are few to no seeders. Even then I usually don't let it run overnight because I normally shut my computer down to save on electricity and not have it be slow as [bleep] the next day. I've currently got DSL. The only time I remember having dial up was when we moved and back then I rarely used the internet anyways.
  8. Yeah I do that a lot too :) I went to a totally different middle school and high school than any of my elementary friends so I didn't see them after 5th grade, but thanks to Facebook I've been able to talk to a lot of them. I actually just found out one of my old friends got his band signed to Victory Records  I don't really use MySpace though. I have an account but it only gets checked one someone is like "I wrote something on your MySpace!"..
  9. Yeah, it took me a day of using Vista to get so annoyed I turned that off. Unfortunately I now constantly have a "Windows Security Alert" because I guess I'm not smart enough to decide for myself what I open without being asked if I'm sure :wall:
  10. Yeah, I used to have a laptop that would shutdown if the temp reached 105 degrees. That thing shut itself down all the time and it managed to burn me quite a bit #-o
  11. I'm quite like you. I love tornados and storms. I've always wanted to see or be near one. I live in Iowa as well, but we havn't had any tornados come near our farm in a good 5-6 years. The closest one recently was during the tornado outbreak, but that was about 15 miles away, and it roped out before we could even see it -.- Where do you live in Iowa? I'm in Cedar Rapids so we don't get a whole lot here besides the nasty storms. For college I want to go to the University of Iowa and Iowa City always seems to get a lot of damage
  12. Hmm.. I have to bulldogs that I'm not the most fond of and I constantly harass them :| Only been bit once but it was my own fault for trying to poke the dogs tongue before it could get me..
  13. Forget being 40.. I'm making Canada my next vacation spot! Sweet vodka, here I come!
  14. You should spend February-September in the Texas Panhandle, in the area of Amarillo if you don't want to stay in one of the tiny towns. Storms are often an everyday occurrence, and tornadoes are completely common. At my old home, we were hit by a small one, hardly any damage. I ramble goodly. Haha I'm no stranger to rambling. I would honestly love to go spend some time down there during tornado season for a while. Maybe once I'm out of college I'll save up then take some time off work and head down there ;)

Dammit, join the masses and freak out with the rest of us! It's less fun to sit there and patiently wait for things to go back to normal :shame:

  17. You, sir, should not visit Iowa nor spend long periods of time with me. When I see those dark (almost black) clouds rolling in, those crazy gusts of wind picking up, and the rain/hail pouring down so hard it hurts.. I open up the doors and keep my eyes peeled for that amazing sight. I've managed to catch glimses of funnel clouds and a tornado beginning to drop but, unfortunately, never a tornado in destruction mode :( On topid: I have my little fears, but I don't really have any phobias. I'm basically scared of: -Some bugs: Mostly things with stingers, venom, or a 8+ legs. -Hieghts: I can handle them, I just don't enjoy it -but I do love to fly. -What's hiding in the dark: Don't get me wrong, I love the dark but when I'm sitting there alone my imagination tends to get the best of me. Imagine looking over every inch of your room trying to find a place to hide your stash, then imagine the weirdest/scariest things you've ever seen. Now imagine that scary [cabbage] hiding in all those places you've discovered.. -Getting caught w/ weed: Been caught once so I can't do it for quite a while. But when I start again, no idiots will be allowed anywhere near my stuff. -Death by suffocation: I would go out of my mind before I would die.. I just wouldn't be able to handle that. When I die I want it to be quick. -The things I see out of the corner of my eye: The guy standing in my brother's room, or the dog that was hiding behind a door, the guy watching me from the top of the stairs.. Of course, I only see them in my house.. Scares the [cabbage] out of me sometimes.
  18. 1 word. Viruses. Only if you use it to try and download programs, then you should get a virus. Videos and images are fine if you don't try .avi (have the worst experiences with those) and delete anything that requires a codec. Simple precautions can save a lot of trouble. I've actually found torrents to be a much better alternative as long as you have good sources. I've only found 1 virus in a file I downloaded but I kind of expected it. ThePirateBay has been very nice to me since I figured out how to work BitTorrent.
  19. I wouldn't be too concerned with those temps.. Mine are currently: Temp1: 55 Temp2: 46 Temp3: 22 Temp1: 40 Core: 43
  20. I couldn't get my normal monitor to work via the dvi slot so I just put out the $15 to get another dvi-to-vga adapter a little while ago, rearranged my desk, and I'm enjoying having two monitors :)
  21. Ok, we're not even talking about karate here so gratz on a failed attempt at showing off. As far as airlines hurting their sales, I doubt it would hurt them that badly, especially if all airlines took up this policy. Also, you don't need to be a nutritionist or a gym owner to stay in shape. It's actually really easy if you have a brain (+ know how to use it) and have the motivation to get out once in a while.
  22. Hmm.. Anyone want to take a trip to Sweden with me?
  23. Just finished setting up my dual monitors. Now I can actually be somewhat productive while I look at porn :) 8-)
  24. It doesn't matter. DVI is clearer but you shouldn't notice a difference. If the monitor can use dvi, use it instead of vga. Alright, thanks.
  25. Hey I've got one more question.. I've currently got my normal monitor using a dvi-to-vga adapter so it plugs straight into my graphics card. That means I still have my normal dvi slot open.. Should I even bother trying to hook up the second monitor to that dvi slot or should I just get in the car head out to get another dvi-to-vga adapter for the second slot on my graphic card?
