Gun laws/replicas/toys in Australia
1. Don't spray paint your gun. The more realistic it looks, the mroe trouble you're going to get in. 2. Don't be looking in peoples' windows (especially while pointing a gun in their direction). You're just adding up charges here. Now I'm a big fan of weaponry, but you do have to be responsible with it. Shoot soda cans, birds, I don't care. Start aiming that thing at people and you're going to be in a load of trouble. If it's spray painted to look real, not only will your parents be mad at you, but I can assure you that you'll be talking to a police officer who has his gun drawn. Safety and responsibily are extremely important when dealing with guns. Remember that.

Medical Marijuana
And those are the morons who ruin things for the rest of us. If more people used these substances responsibly they wouldn't look so bad. I understand these substances alter your mind, but people need to learn to either tone it down or have some god damn self control. The more people who act like [wagon] and end up getting throw in jail while under the influence, the more the gov't is going to have against those substances.

Paranormal Experience
I've gotten really used to the idea of there being a ghost in my house (although it still creeps me out once in a while). Basically a few years ago random little things would happen like "hearing footsteps at night" or "a door opened randomly". We would all just laugh and claim there was a ghost in the house but it was just a joke. And it stayed a joke until about a year ago. I was sitting in my living room with a friend and it was around 2:00AM. All the lights were off and we were just talking then all of a sudden we heard something in the kitchen so we both got really quiet. We listened for a while and we could hear someone walking around in the kitchen. I was pretty damn scared but once I got myself together I walked across the room and turned the lights on to reveal.. Nothing. A few more footsteps but nothing was there. Scary as hell but we tried to just laugh it off. Another night I had my bed split in half (box-spring on one side of the room, matress on the other - I hadn't finished moving stuff around) and I was laying on the matress. I woke up in the middle of the night and looked around and saw a guy in a hat sitting on the box-spring. I almost flipped out but I kept myself quiet until I could manage to turn on a light.. Once again, nothing there. <-- This has happened multiple times in different rooms, lately my mom has been the one to wake up and see a man sitting at the end of her bed. One time, early morning, I got up and headed for the shower. As I walked past my borthers room I saw someone standing there just looking at me. It took me a second to relise what I has just seen and I popped back around the corner but the figure was gone. One night (around 3:00AM), my borther was watching tv. He got up and went to the bathroom and came back to find the door wide open. It was storming pretty hard so it wouldn't have been so odd if the door hadn't been dead-bolted shut since I went to bed. The most common thing that happens is our business phone will fall off the hook every night at exactly 2:00AM. It always freaks my friends out because they're not used to it :P

@laura0077: While you may have found some facts and simply copy/pasted them here, you're also falling pray to the gov't propaganda and mixing in your own bias opinions. Get some straight up facts, get rid of the gov't [cabbage] and stop acting like you can predict the future. From your posts you seem to think the gov't actually did scientific studies with maijuana which they didn't. If you even try to quote anything from Dr. Naha I'm going to laugh at you relentlessly since he even admitted all of his findings were total [cabbage]. Now you're so set on there being more accidents but I don't think you relise a few simple things: 1. You have no clue how many people already drive while high (irresponsible imo but I know a lot of people) 2. -Driving high makes you twice as likely to have an accident (far less than alcohol) -Speeding almost triples the odds of being involved in an accident. -Driving while fatigued similarly increases the odds of an accident. -Aggressive driving nearly doubled the odds of having an accident. -Lack of attention by a driver (for example, taking one's eyes off the road for more than two seconds) is a factor, the odds of a crash also nearly double compared to the odds of a driver paying attention to the road. Of course with legalization we need people to use this substance responsibly and I would support harsh DUI laws. But I would like to say I've experimented with both alcohol and marijuana and alcohol messes up your brain a lot more than marijuana. So if you really want to get rid of a dangerous substance, take a stand against alcohol. It's more widely used than marijuana, more dangerous than marijuana (chance of death if you drink too much), and impares your judgement/motor skills more than marijuana. I really think you need to get all your facts straight before you start trying to take a stand against something. Also I've seen you mention alcohol and marijuana being taken together a few times. Nobody I've ever smoked with has taken alcohol at the same time. If people are taking both at once, I'd have to say they're trying to hide from some problem they have.. -------------------------- I would love to see marijuana legalized altogether but since that seems to be a long ways off, I would like to see marijuana used medically more often. My mom has fibromyalgia and she has 10+ different medications to take. Most of them don't end up working and it's just costing my family more and more for newer medicines that, surprise, don't work. One of these days I'm just going to buy my mom some marijuana, hand her my pipe, and tell her to see if that works any better than the tons of medications she takes (and still feels terrible).

The stupidest thing you have done?
My stupidest thing, ever, was what I did last night.. It was around 10:30PM and I was bored as hell. My bro and his friend were hogging the 360 and watching someone play Oblivion isn't that much fun. I didn't have any weed so I looked around my room for a while and came up with a bottle of prescription cough medicine that I had barely used when I was sick ~8 months ago. Since I was weedless I figured I'd give this stuff a shot. Chugged half the bottle, almost puked (can't stand the taste), and let it simmer for a few minutes. Wasn't feeling anything so I finished off the bottle. Shortly after my tongue went numb and I got really tired. I kept myself awake until just after midnight and then I fell asleep (probably passed out because I was in the middle of texting a friend). Woke up a little after 2 this afternoon and I was dizzy, light headed, and I couldn't feel pain when I hit myself (the medicine had codeine in it). So got up, took a shower (while trying not to fall over) and ate what I could. After a while it started to feel like my head was just floating in the air without a body. Now I've got a terrible headache and I'm tired as hell :( -- CAUTION -- Do NOT try this. Using cough medicine as a drug can be very dangerous!

Money? How? Why?
Just wondering.. Why wouldn't you allow your child to own a knife? I was around 13 when I became really interested in knives/swords/other weapons and my parents were cool with it. Hell, my dad bought me my first knife and when we find a place that sells knives dirt cheap I can usually talk him into buying me a few and he ends up getting himself one.

A child of the 90's, this is what shaped my world.(few pics)
Amazing game. I used to play that with my mom, dad, and one of his co-workers every day when he came home for lunch

Agreed. We got the good shows and kids these days are stuck with half assed ideas that go nowhere fast. I actually can't stand watching most cartoons these days :( Born in '90 and enjoyed all the times I remember. Does anyone else remember cup stacking (aka speed stacking)? Haha dumbest thing ever but I used to love those when I was a kid :P

Do You Run?
I take karate classes 3 times a week. It's a hell of a workout (especially if you're hung over >.<). As far as running. I hate it. Can't stand it at all. But when I know I'm going to need to look my best in a month or so I'll do it just to slim down a bit.

A kiss?
I didnt read past that. No you can't. Chance she likes you. "More chances you take, the more you score"- Thierry Henry. Good luck, report back with success or failure. [/thread] The thread isn't about that... Read further. It's purely friendship. Aka he should stop being an idiot and read the entire post before making a fool of himself.. On topic: I think it would be cool, but as a (quite jealous) guy I don't think it would work out so well. For one, my girl had best not be kissing other guys or we're gonna have a problem. Second, guys think of a kiss more sexually than girls and I can see that leading to some bad situations :P

4Chan
Looks like somebody stumbled into the wrong place. A lot of us here in OT don't play Runescape anymore.. Here's the thing buddy, this is the internet. All I have to do is say I'm 18 and I can view whatever the hell I want. Oh no, I'm under 18 by 3 months and the law says I can't see people naked! I've looked at porn since I was 13 years old. The law hasn't stopped me (or a lot of people for that matter) from doing a lot of things. My point is no matter what the law says there are a lot of us who will completely disregard it. If you're offended by the stuff on 4chan, you're in for a big surprise when you start getting around on the internet.

What are you doing?
Converting a bunch of porn so it will go on my Zune. Portable porn is where it's at ;)

My new laptop
I think you've got the wrong idea about Macs.. I've used both Macs and PCs in the past. Macs I've mainly used at school but also in my Photoshop and Illustrator classes. I currently have both programs on my PC and I would much rather have a Mac when using them. I honestly think Macs are far better when it comes to working with high end programs like those. Yes, I'll agree Macs are a little more user friendly to a certain extent but some things are easier done on a PC. Basically they both have their advantages and disadvantages but I would not even come close to saying Macs are for people who know little to none about computers. As far as not being able to right click, buy a damn mouse with 2 buttons. The standard mouse for a Mac only has 1 button, but I've seen Macs at school with 2 button mouses (with the right click working). Otherwise hold down the stupid alt key (or whatever it is, I don't remember) and it works exactly the same as a right click. Also, Vista is terrible. I hate running it and if I had the money, I would buy a copy of XP as quickly as possible.. Sadly I'm broke :(

Need 4 weed, 6million dollar bust!
Yeah bongs and food are definitly more healthy ways of using marijuana. I've only used it in food once but the high lasted a lot longer than smoking it. I agree with you in terms of work. My grades are way up since I started smoking. I guess I want to be the total opposite of what the gov't thinks we all should be. But I don't know so much about driving. I usually can't concentrate on something for very long when I'm high and appearently neither can my friends because I rode with him once and after he was driving in the wrong lane for a few minutes I had to tell him to get back over or he would have stayed there until a cop saw him lol >.<

Need 4 weed, 6million dollar bust!
I smoke marijuana as well. Not sure where you got your facts but some of them are a little off. -Marijuana can cause cancer or other respiratory illnesses but that is true of smoking almost anything. -Marijuana may actually be worse on your lungs than cigarettes, however marijuana is not generally smoked as much as cigarettes (let's hope you're not smoking that much) -Smoking marijuana does not make you non-violent. After being with a variety of people while they smoked, I noticed it generally amplifies their normal personalities. I'm extremely laid back, I could care less what happens when I'm high. I have a friend who's very aggressive and tends to get into fights, and he tries to pick more fights when he's high. -Right, marijuana does make you "lazy". But a lot depends on the strain. I don't remember the strains but of the 2 main strains: -one will give you a "stone" feeling and couch-lock. -the other will give you a " head high" feeling and you'll still be able to do most normal things with a little difficulty. I will say I like the mention of not driving and smoking. I have never and will never smoke and drive. I have friends who do it and I generally won't smoke with them unless we're staying where we smoke because it's just not worth the risk of driving. Unfortunately my area is pretty dry of marijuana at the moment. A week or 2 ago there were 2 big busts. One was 100+ pounds and the other was 40+ pounds. All that I can find around here is dro and I'm not willing to pay $30/gram. >.<

Damn I hate stupid people at my job
I used to work in a grocery store and I will never do that again. I had to deal with the stupidest and most rude people in the world.. 1) A lady who decided she had to use the restroom while shopping came and complained to me (a cashier) that the bathroom was filthy and said I should clean it up. Well, I would definitly do that.. IF IT WAS MY JOB. When she sat there complaining while I rang up her items I wanted to just walk out so bad and say I quit. 2) When I first started it was my job to bag groceries for cashiers and bring in carts when the designated areas got low. So I took in carts as often as I could because it usually got me away from people and I had some time to myself. Well pushing carts isn't the easiest thing in the world. With 2 of us doing it, we could bring in 30+ at a time with a little difficulty but doing it alone we could only bring in stacks of 5 max because they get so hard to control. So a few times when I started I was having trouble bringing in 5 at once and people would stop me to put their cart in the line that I was already (visibly) having trouble with.. 3) One night it was late and I had just punched out, taken off my name tag, loosened my tie, undid my top 2 shirt bottons and I was headed out of the backroom and to the front door to go home. Well on my way (looking very unprofessional) a lady stops me asking for something that I didn't have a clue about. So I just told her I was off the clock and she could ask the guy 20 feet down the isle. She got so mad and started complaining about how I worked there and I should be helping her instead of trying to pass my job off to someone else.. All while I wasn't getting paid anymore. 4) When I worked the express lanes as a cashier a lot of people would come through for cigarettes. Well, I don't smoke and I didn't know [cabbage] about brands or what mediums, lights, etc were so people would always get pissed that I couldn't find their cigarettes in a matter of seconds. 5) My boss.. Treated me like a [developmentally delayed]. I had worked there for 2 days and I asked him for help once because I didn't know where a product was that some guy was looking for and he basically said I should know where everything was by then (I had worked 2 hours the first day and 3 the second, both bagging groceries not stocking shelves or anything). Then I became a cashier and their computer system sucked so when ever there was a problem he acted like it was my fault.. After a few months I got fed up with being treated like that and quit.

What is your favorite clothing brand (what do you wear)
You realise you pay nearly the same amount at Target/Wal-Mart for clothes, right? I mean, if you do a little searching you can find some nice clothes at brand name stores for really good prices. Over the holidays Aeropostal had t-shirts on for $5 each. I don't remember the last time I got t-shirts that cheap anywhere. And if you think spending a little money on clothing is being spoiled, I have to assume you come from either a very low income family or your parents just don't like to spend money at all. The last pair of shoes I bought were $100. I usually go for the $50 shoes or whatever but these are holding up a lot better than the cheaper ones. Normally after 6+ months my shoes would be looking pretty worn out but these still look very nice. You're dumb as hell. Who ever said Hollister was unique? It's a store with many locations, correct? Well they're all going to sell the same thing because they're all getting it from the same place. And they can't build the store to look different from the rest of the locations because it's a franchise and they have to follow the rules in order to have the store. Now go beat yourself with a blunt object for a while for being so [developmentally delayed]ed.

my school had a walk out
The school had every right... Here's a piece of my earlier post. And here another important part: I don't know about the "other extracurricular activities", but I feel they were right to suspend the athletes who had been drinking, it's their own fault. Fair enough. The OP made it sound as though the students were suspended from classes and everything. I totally understand the after-school activities suspension as every school I know of has that policy in place. I suppose it's my fault for not reading the actual article.

Your worst day
I can't pick a specific day but I'd say the worst time of my life was 4-5 months back when depression hit me hard. It was so bad I barely got out of bed for class, stopped exercising (I was on a great program and I had a personal trainer who was going to start helping me), barely ate anything, and abandoned my social life altogether. I'm just starting to get my act back together so things are getting a little brighter but money issues are bringing those dark clouds back..

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Phsyical attraction is easy to have. Get to know both of them, see how things go and then decide which one you're more attracted to. I'm not sure how old you are Pow, but don't count on the finding the girl of your dreams just yet. You'll probably be with quite a few girls before you find the right one ;)

my school had a walk out
I agree 100%. I'm 17 and I drink (hell, there are alcohol cans sitting on my desk right now). My school can't do anything about it. They can tell me not to do it, how much it's hurting my body, and how I could kill someone if I drive. But they can't suspend me unless I walk onto their property while I'm intoxicated. They had no right to suspend those kids for drinking. I will say, it was stupid of them to post pics of themselves drinking. But the only people who could really punish them is their parents. On the subject of parents checking things like Facebook and MySpace. Honestly, they need to stay out. Do you trust your kids so little that you need to check on everything they write to their friends? If that's the case, you probably shouldn't let them leave the house. Parents want respect, right? Well they're not going to get it if they're going through their kids stuff. I lost a lot of respect for my dad when he went through my Facebook when I forgot to close it one day. It's not like he walked past my computer and noticed it was up. He went upstairs, into my room, open my laptop, closed the game that was up, and saw that Facebook was open. He was mad about something he saw so he brought it to my attention and we had a hell of an arguement that night..
